The service was excellent. The food was good. Love the restaurant. Portions are decent. Coffee is fresh and hot. The only drawback is that there seems to be a rougher crowd that congregates outside as there is homeless housing on the second level of the building. It was a bit daunting walking up to the restaurant with a group of nefarious individuals watching you. There are no issues once inside the restaurant.

The food was really tasty, hot, fresh, and good sized portions. Our server was very friendly, and took into consideration allergy restrictions. This diner has a vibrant atmosphere and free ample parking just beside the diner. I’ll be visiting again.

We only ordered from the kids' menu - small servings very reasonably priced. The pancakes and waffles were delicious, and the grilled cheese sandwich was good too. They let us substitute a salad for the fries. Servers are attentive and friendly. Classic diner feel, decorated with classic comic book covers and old movie posters.

Nice central location with ample free parking. The restaurant is painted in bright colors, it is not very specious, the tables are somewhat packed. We ordered Bangkok Benny and waffle with berry and cream. They both were good but the cream on top of waffle was amazing. The servers were polite and professional. Usually there is a long line up during weekends. Nothing wrong about the restaurant but it was too crowded for me so 4 out of 5 for this reason.

I had breakfast at the cafe on a recent trip to Victoria and had a very pleasant experience. Would highly recommend for a home cooking experience The location is very central - right at Johnson Bridge Store Street - close to the harbour, shopping, Chinatown. I had the breakfast with scrambled eggs sausages and toast. Everything was made from scratch (just like home cooking!) fresh and delicious. Portions were generous. Just hit the spot. In addition the coffee is bottomless cup. It’s a family run cafe and service was courteous and friendly. The decor is very whimsical and cheerful with special place for pickle decorations 😀. There is a small outdoor seating area for nicer weather days. Very reasonably priced and a much cozier, friendlier start to the day than at bigger restaurants in the area. There were regulars when we dined there which added to the cozy ambience.

The Sour Pickle is quite pleasing to dine at. Do not go there if you have time restraints because everything is made from scratch. We waited 20-25 minutes, but it was worth it. The Denver breakfast item is only on their special item menu posted outside the establishment, and I really enjoyed it! The sandwich is toasted to perfection and filled with so many healthy goodies. It came with a side of potatoe salad which was the best I have ever had... ever. The Tortilla Omelet is a HUGE serving with lightly fried potato in the side. If you like garlic, then this is the breakfast item for you. My brother and dad enjoyed it. The Veggie Omelet is also quite enjoyable here. The cheese ontop the egg is notably flavorful with the basil pesto.

Very chill but quaint environment. The food was very good for a very price. Friendly, personable service. Great to support a local family-run business. I had the classic eggs and bacon. The food came out fast and the home style fries were delicious. My niece had the waffles which came with some apple and orange slices and was also delicious

The waffle serving is smaller than what I thought, generous whipping cream and overall taste great. But I enjoyed the breakfast wrap more. I love the salsa, sour cream and ketchup that was serve on the side. The breakfast wrap portion is huge so it is better if you share it.

Randomly tried this spot on the weekend and the food was fantastic. All five in our group thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The pancakes were fluffy the fruit was fresh and service friendly. It took a little while for our food to come out but it was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend coming here for brunch and will be back! The prices are also very reasonable.

My new favourite breakfast place. It’s a small greasy-spoon style diner, run by a family. The portions are large, the staff are amazingly friendly and the coffee is refillable. It was very busy the day we went and the staff/family was obviously struggling to keep up, but you could tell they were trying their best and everyone waited patiently. All around this place is amazing and I will go back many times.

After encountering long waits at a couple of highly touted brunch spots in the neighborhood, we happened upon this quiet little gem. Welcoming, attentive service, delicious standards done perfectly, and excellent coffee made for a delightful Sunday meal. One member of our party declared that the eggs benedict was the best she’d ever had. The home-made oaten bread is a real treat, too, and the fruit is all fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend this spot.

I love this place. One of the only “cheap” diners left in town. If that’s what I’m in the mood for, the food here always hits the spot. And they have nice-to-haves that much more expensive places don’t — real maple syrup standard with the pancakes & homemade strawberry compote/jam standard with all toast. Big fan.

We had brunch on their patio on a chilly day. They offer blankets for those who might feel a bit icy. Food and services were great! The portions are huge, so you’ll be stuffed! I wish they offer smaller size options, but I have 0 complaints! The interior decor is fairly hip! They also have several options for the kids menu! We got there at 10:30 on a Monday, and the line was huge. Prepare to wait, but I think it’s definitely worth the wait!

A cute breakfast option tucked away on sleepy Herald St. Servers are amazing and friendly. Food is tasty. I wish the portions were a little more significant for the price you pay. Overall, would recommend if you’re in town for a stroll near historic Chinatown.

Great food! Huge sizes! We tried different things pork belly eggs Benedict, veggie bowl and french toast and they were all awesome! Eggs Benedict are great and big for one person, but I would say bowls are for two, they're huge! French toast is a mots I would say, we tried the apple one and it was unbelievable! The waiting times are a bit long but I would say they are worth it. It would be better if you could write your name down and come back, but still is good. Buttermilk biscuits are very good and special too. Definitely a great place for breakfast/brunch!

This is a very special place. Amazing food, fresh, homemade and good quantity. The taste of the eggs sweet bacon and pancakes was delicious. Probably one of the best breakfast I have ever had. Latte could be a little bit better but it is good enough. We went two days and very early since it gets busy very soon. The line goes fast though.

Great breakfast place I got waffles and sausage patties. So good. Everything our table got was delicious as were the drinks. Very popular there were about 10 ppl in line ahead of us but we only waited about 15 minutes. We sat outside, they had blankets for the customers to put on their laps. I thought that was so thoughtful. Would definitely go back if in the area.

was originally planning on going to blue fox cafe down but line there was long and not moving. so glad i tried this place instead! the food was delicious. it was simply prepared and favors were sublime really highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. brought my mom who is a notoriously picky eater and even she loved it! i had the eggs on toast with a side of smoked salmon which was perfectly prepared. salad that came with it was a highlight. rest of my party has the breakfast sandwich with smoked salmon subbed for the bacon which they enjoyed

I’ve been in this restaurant twice: once sat outside and once inside. Pros: food is delicious and healthy, Service is nice and friendly, Decor and furniture is modern and relaxing colours, Outside patio with heater, Some beautiful and cute merchandise. Con: there is something wrong with audio insulation of the restaurant that makes it very noisy. So if you need a cosy and quiet place that you can chat easily with friends, it’s better to sit outside.

Wanted to check someplace different out for breakfast when I was in Victoria for work. I don't normally go for French Toast but I had to try the lavender almonds (made in house btw). I also really appreciated the non-alcoholic beverage options. I went for a Virgin Aperol Spritz (they also had Virgin Mimosas). Dined by myself, it wasn't weird, was served wonderfully and enjoyed my meal.

There was a bit of a line when we got there but it moved pretty quickly. Once we sat down we got service right away. We waited about 20 minutes for our food once we ordered. I definitely expected to wait for the food for a bit they were very busy. If you go here please don't expect super quick service again it's a really busy place. I ordered Chicken N Waffles. They were SOOO good & the potatoes that came with them were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Floyd's Diner but please bring your patience.

We came here at 8:30am and got a table right away. The diner got busy just before 9am, and there was a wait outside after. Their Herb Hudson Chicken Waffle Benny is one of the best chicken and waffles we’ve ever had. The service is quick and friendly, and the food portions are huge. Definitely recommend coming here!

Casual local diner in a lovely little neighborhood. The restaurant itself is very eclectic, with a friendly and nostalgic atmosphere — magenta exterior, mismatched artwork on the walls, no frills decor and aesthetic. Super friendly service, servers had lots of suggestions for things to do in the city. Good prices and honestly really great breakfast — serving up that thicc bacon, they don’t mess around. Darn good eggs, and what I believe to be house made or locally made sour dough (honestly some of the best sourdough ever). Can’t wait to go back next time I visit the island

2 stars because it took an hour to get out food, excluding another hour waiting outside. The portion of food is big enough that we couldn’t finish it but the taste didn’t fit our preferences. The chocolate milkshake is too sweet and the taste of brisket is a bit light. Quality of Eggs Benedict meet the average. Waffle and chicken will be recommended if really need to choose one.

Mocha slice was pretty good. Lots of nutty flavor and hint of mocha - nothing was overpowering and very balanced. Black forest cake was a bit too rich once you have a couple bites. If you are a fan of light whipping cream/mousse dessert person, it might not be a perfect fit for you. However, overall, it was pretty good.

Wonderful to be able to enjoy some Dutch food across the ocean! The croquettes were pretty good and authentic, like they're made back home. The uitsmijter was alright. The use of toast instead of fresh bread was a bit disappointing, but expected.

I usually don’t write reviews but if I could give this place less than a one star I would. I ordered a birthday cake earlier in the week, came to pick it up, it wasn’t ready. They picked out one from the glass display. I had asked for a name to be written on it , so they went to the back to write the name in a hurry but it was so awfully written, they offered to cover it up. They offered to give it to me for half price which I accepted because I had no choice since the birthday was the same day.
