Came for lunch on the weekend. Overall it was quite good. There were some minor mistakes on beverages ( served ice tea for one of ours instead of a coke, i there’s at the table ordered iced tea). Salads were good: food was fresh. Portions seem a little smaller than they used to be overall. Still a good choice for families or adults. Good atmosphere. Easy to get to. Pleasant staff.

Weekend evenings? Insanely busy! We had a great waitress but the kitchen seemed backed up. 2 tables sat down after us and had their food come before ours did. It was ok because we were not in a rush. When we finally did get our food, it was done to perfection. I generally order either the Fish and Chips or the Bonzai Burger. The last 4 times, the Fish and Chips weren't that great. Fish were much smaller and when you are paying $21 for a meal, you want something substantial. This visit I have to say, did not disappoint. The Fish and Chips were perfect and I received 4 larger pieces. That made the meal worthwhile. My friend had ordered the Chicks and Shrimp and the past few visits, have been much smaller portions. This visit was perfect! The size of the plate was just the right size to fit everything on. We were more than pleased. Will definitely be back.🤗 😎🫠😎🤗

UPDATE: NOTHING TO REPORT We went to enjoy my husbands birthday burger on June 28. The place had 4 occupied tables, perfection. We waited to be seated, we first sat in a booth and discovered it was wet and dirty, we moved to the lower table which turns out was the same. It took approximately 10 min for our server to arrive and ask if we wanted a drink. I ordered a slushy drink and received a watery drink $8. We asked for the table to be cleaned and he was happy to do so and apologized. Not sure why we didn't notice how dirty the whole place was when we walked in. Food all over the floor, the tables and chairs were dirty, the bathrooms were a disgrace. The staff sitting around doing nothing. Our server mentioned that they have a new general manager, Dustin of two months. If this is how he runs a business he needs to be retrained. We let our server know our concerns and asked if the kitchen was clean, he said yes. Do better, now we see why it wasn't busy.

3 stars for the manager 5 stars for the restaurant food and service from staff. We were a party of 10. Apparently we just missed the only large party seating area. When I asked if we could sit at the table f 8 (we had a toddler) the Manager said we could have the table of 8 if we wanted to stand….seriously? We asked if the table was available beside the table of 8 as it was empty. He said yes so we sat 8 and 2 without issue. He almost lost $200 in orders for his business. Pretty disappointed with the lack of accommodation and that we had to suggest a workaround. Overall good food and table server was great.

Stopped in here for dessert, and got seated right away by the hostess, who started off our fantastic experience at this fine establishment. My wife and I got the tower of donuts, which came out fairly quickly given how busy it was. The food was great, and the dips were tasty. Best part of all was the caramel sauce which our hostess said was a must try. Would highly recommend checking this place out. A special shout out to Jade who made this experience truly superb. Jade, you're the hostess with the mostess!

Intermezzo in Vernon, BC is a great steakhouse with delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides were equally tasty. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making the dining experience even better. The restaurant has a comfortable, intimate feel, perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion. The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy when it's busy. Overall, Intermezzo is a great choice for anyone looking for a top-notch steakhouse experience in Vernon, and it definitely deserves a 4-star review.

We started our meal with the prawn and scallop appetizer. For 19.95, I expected more than 3 prawns and 2 scallops, which were nothing special. You can put as much lettuce on the plate as you want. It still doesn't justify the price. I ordered the Oscar with chicken and scallops instead of the crab. There was (no word of a lie... 2 scallops). My meal was so doused in pepper that I couldn't taste anything else. I know every chef has their spice of preference, be it garlic, onion, or in this case, pepper. But I'd rather taste what I ordered. We were not impressed with this restaurant, to say the least. I also ordered a vodka and Coke, one of them was milky looking. Terrible. I definitely will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

A lovely place with delicious food and amazing staff! We received outstanding service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Our meals were very tasty and the portion sizes were generous. Great atmosphere as well, very cozy and we got to enjoy some live music while we dined.

We would love to give 6 stars if possible. Oh my God what a lovely evening. Service from all the staff was incredible, especially Sascha.. What a delight, fun, outgoing, knowledgeable and super fun. But let’s talk about food! Wow, we were a party of 8 and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. Every single item was cooked to perfection, super tasty and on point. We all enjoyed ourselves so much and we will be back for sure for more deliciousness and of course the lovely ambiance.

I recently had dinner at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill and encountered some complications with the preparation of my steak. Despite requesting it to be cooked to my liking, it consistently arrived rare. This resulted in a very long waiting time, leaving my waitress understandably displeased. However, she took the initiative to voice the issue to the owner, and to my surprise, my entire dinner ended up being compensated as a gesture of apology. Despite the initial setback, I must say that the ribs I had were amazing, and the wine selection was divine. The flavors and quality of the food truly impressed me. Moreover, what truly stood out was the exceptional service and effort demonstrated by both the owner and my waitress (although I can't recall her name). Their willingness to rectify the situation and ensure my satisfaction left a lasting impression. Despite the rocky start to my evening, I would gladly return to Bourbon Street Bar and Grill for a meal whenever I find myself in Vernon. The commendable service, delicious food, and the genuine efforts made by the staff have earned my appreciation and trust. I am confident that any future visit will be met with the same level of care and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Bourbon Street is my 134th restaurant, eatery, and café in Vernon. It is attached to a hotel which means the prices can be a bit more expensive. However, most menu items use more obscure ingredients than what you normally see in restaurants around town. Chelsey was an excellent server. I ordered Pad Thai. I asked if the portion size for $27 would be big. I was assured it was. Judge for yourself. I thought it was big enough. After tax and 15 percent tip, I paid $36.23 for Pad Thai and two root beer sodas. The Pad Thai is almost like a pasta. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here at Bourbon Street. 134 restaurants down; 20 to go.

Hubs and I recently tried out the restaurant as it was somewhere new for us. The waitress and other staff were awesome and the desserts were awesome. We were disappointed with the portion sizes given what the prices are. I ordered the salmon which I thought came with potatoes and veggies and all it came with was about 4 baby potatoes and over boiled spinach with olives. The tast was incredible apart from the portion sizes. My hubs had the prime rib and it came with a two bite piece of corn (so not even a half a cob)and two bite yorkshire pudding, which other restaurants also serve and they are three times the size. I would likely go back for dessert and the ambiance, but not for another meal.

Reserved a table for a birthday party for my 22 yr old son. Was a fabulous experience! The atmosphere is pleasing, music is not too loud, food was delicious and well-present and the employees were friendly and fast. All around a perfect evening! I highly recommend!! PS- The servers made room for my 3 yr old granddaughter and another child from a table nearby to have a dance party together. It was adorable and kept the little ones entertained!

Kelly O Bryan's is my 118th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon. Note: Appy Hour is 7 days a week between 2pm-5pm and 9pm-Close. Another note: You get $20 off on birthday meals for lunch and $30 off for dinner. I haven't dined in at Kelly O's since I was 21 years old when somebody I am no longer friends with celebrated her birthday here. I had pachos delivered once in 2020. They were overpriced and mediocre. It was a great opportunity to give Kelly O's another chance. Luckily I did my Appy Hour research before coming here. My server didn't say anything about Appy Hour, but thankfully I went with my gut that it would be in effect. A veggie Portobello burger meal is priced at $22.95. This puts it at $2 higher than any other gourmet veggie burger I have encountered around town, and as high as $6 above the cheapest gourmet veggie burgers at restaurants (Red Robin's Burnin' Love burger). I couldn't justify paying up to $29 for a veggie burger, lattice fries, and water after tax and tip so it was one of the rare times where I felt priced out of a burger meal. I bought the deep fried pickles at the Appy Hour discount (they are normally $14.95). I tried buying a bottomless soda with it, but if you order root beer they bring you a Dad's Root Beer. Sadly, the server said nothing about root beer orders defaulting to Dad's Root Beers which means they aren't bottomless. I get the impression that the server thought I was a regular. These are just some minor tips for him. After 118 eateries in Vernon, I feel like I am unintentionally that guy who thinks he is being helpful but rather is that annoying nitpicking guy. What have I become. The deep fried pickles were pretty good. Sir Winston's are still the best in town, but Kelly O's are on that secondary tier. After tax and an eighteen percent tip, I paid $16.81 for deep fried pickles and a Dad's root beer. Is the menu overpriced in contrast to the similar restaurants throughout the rest of Vernon? Yes. Should you take advantage of Appy Hour: Yes. Fill up on Appy Hour, avoid root beer when ordering soda, and maybe come here for a heavily discounted birthday meal here at Kelly O's. It's more like a 3.5/5. I really liked the patio area and the whole decor inside the restaurant. It is a very clean place too. The server also got a lot friendlier as the meal progressed. I should note the big fire downtown happened a few hours earlier, and I know everyone was sad and quiet today. I could see everyone just needing to go through the motions for the day especially given Okanagan Eatery is a fellow restaurant that was lost today. I will come here for Appy Hour again. Just please reconsider reducing your burger meals. Even a dollar reduction will make a lot more people willing to buy the burger meals. 118 eateries in Vernon down; 40ish to go. It was great to give Kelly O's another try and be satisfied with Appy Hour!

Not the greatest experience. Service was slow and seemed chaotic, not sure if there was a shift change or what. But it took a while to get our order taken. Food was ok but tasted salty and the bottom had burned noodles. It was not hot but warm. Thoughts of them running a lasagna through the pizza oven came to mind. But we must have caught them on an off night I hope. But the skip the dishes and door dash drivers seemed to be busy picking up orders.

Absolutely horrible, my breakfast bowl was cold, chicken stripsfor my daughter were soggy, boyfriends chicken and waffles were soggy. He ended up getting sick. I had refused to pay for such poor quality and when we were leaving we over heard our waitress say we should have been grateful and just eat it. The wait staff were incredibly rude and we will never go back to that poorly run establishment

We just got takeout. Everything was fairly good. I got tortellini, which was good, it came with succotash (vegetable medley) I think the kitchen made a mistake and accidentally dumped a box of salt over the veg. It was the saltiest thing I’ve ever tasted and had to throw them away. First time I’ve ever thrown away food due to over salting. It’s a shame cause it was a nice looking variety. My husband tried a bite and couldn’t believe how salty it was either.

The food was very good. I had blackened chicken Alfredo, and was very happy with my meal. We arrived at 7pm and the rush was over, however our server seemed a bit overwhelmed and didn’t see him much at all. My only complaint is that we emptied our drinks prior to our food arriving and while we waited for our server to come by, we had finished our meal. we finally got asked if we wanted more to drink but it was a bit too late. The staff was very happy and friendly, and the atmosphere was great for a night out.

Best thing about this Earl’s is the location if you’re coming in off the highway from Lake Country/Kelowna.. you don’t have to drive all the way through town if you’re meeting a friend! Ample parking as its part of the plaza! You hardly notice it’s there! Good drinks, friendly staff, didn’t get food but good looking menu!

Good Service but below average food! We went there for Valentine’s Day hoping for some delicious happy hour dinner. The buffalo cauliflower was good to be fair but the bigger burgers were tasteless! No dressing other than some mustard I could taste! Even the fries was McDonald type and even worst!

Original Joe's is my 103rd eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in town. The last time I was here was ten years ago. My family and I would frequently come here because of the unlimited French Fry refills and dill dip. The dill dip is the only thing familiar that is left from ten years ago. The server I had is the reason why I give this place a higher rating. The food is where this place falls short. Sadly, the unlimited French Fry baskets are replaced by two small sides. I picked fries and veggies & dip. I was disappointed by the two sides. The Fries were seasoned McCain superfries, and the veggies & dip only had eight pieces total. My Impossible Burger led to me adding jalapeños for $1.75 extra as it only has a pickle slice, lettuce, and a tomato. I was surprised how thin the burger was overall. I am glad they added in several jalapeños though. The dill dip was as good as I remember, and the Impossible Burger patty was good. The burger desperately needs some sort of sauce inside. I couldn't imagine how bland this burger would've tasted if I didn't pay for jalapeños. After tax and a 15 percent tip, I paid $25.66 for an Impossible Burger with jalapeños that included two small sides and water. The place is clean. I appreciated the Funkadelic, Apartment, and Stevie Wonder music. OJ's is fine after seeing a movie nearby because it is the only restaurant in the plaza, but I definitely wouldn't recommend driving from elsewhere just to eat here. It is one of the few restaurants open in town on Sundays. Nearly any other sports bar and family restaurant in Vernon has superior food and bigger portions. The food didn't taste awful, and the service as well as the famous dill dip was great. However, the small portions and thin on ingredients will leave you feeling a bit disappointed when you're done.

I love the patio area at this restaurant. Staff are very nice. This time around I was more tended to where as lasttime we waited about 40 mins to get a plate of nachos when there were only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant, and there was only toppings and cheese on the top layer, the rest was just tortilla chips. The 'Patio Joe' drink is my new summer favourite though! Thanks!

I speak of the food mainly, as we have only been in person once to this location. They have soy chick'n that can be substituted in a few of their dishes and have for many years before vegan was a thing ( we were regulars in another city we used to live in). Any modifications or requests that I have made to a dish they have been super accommodating and it is so appreciative! The one time we went in the service was great.

Went there on 09/10/2022. First of all our sever, Holly was fantastic! She was very polite and incredibly accommodating. She went out of her way to communte to the kitchen my dietary restrictions. For her and the cooks they get a 5 star review! 👍 This review is mainly just about the corporate side of things. When I was in Vernon I was excited to go to OJ's because from their website I was impressed to read the number of vegan options available. When we got there I was disappointed that a lot of the items labeled "vegan" we not actually vegan. I felt terrible that I had to keep asking our waitress to keep going back to the kitchen to ask questions because most of the things labeled on the menu were not ACTUALLY vegan. I also have a dairy allergy so this was very difficult to order. It must have been so frustrating for her and the cooking staff. However this was not their fault. The menu should have been clearly labeled and the company failed to do so. For instance, you cannot call the Cajun Chicken Cheddar burger if you have to serve it without the bun, cheese, and the sauce. The sides were not clearly labeled and I had to ask a ton of questions and had to keep sending Holly back to ask the kitchen staff more questions. We ended up ordering the Teriyaki veggie bowl and The Kona. The veggie bowl was pretty sad looking, there was few veggies and a bit of brown rice, there was no tofu or beans or nothing of substance. The Kona Burger was just an impossible paddy with one single, tiny pineapple ring on lettuce and a tiny bit of brown rice. The meal was so sad looking. I ALWAYS take photos of my food, I didn't even bother with my veggie bowl because it was so underwhelming. I took a photo of my partner's burger to put in this post because it was so pathetic looking. Keep in mind that this "burger" cost $20.50! Some ways that the chain can improve on this are - clearly label the menu, including the sides. -make clear instructions for staff -ingedient lists -get a chef to create some good vegan options at are not only delishious but also have enough food to sustain someone. -invest in some vegan cheese and some buns. -Make it incredibly easy for staff members when people with dietary restraints come in. This will improve efficiency as well. Anyway. I hope that helps. Thanks again.
