One of the most underrated outlets serving pure vegetarian fare should be The Plate, located on the ground floor, far end of Express Avenue Mall Chennai. Unassuming, clean and minimalistic and also sparsely staffed. The food was delish and neat. The ambience is so calm and hushed you could distinctly hear your clanks and chomps in tandem. They offer a cool menu of single course, one plate meal and what caught my attention was - bisibele with potato fry, curd rice with pickle and Thai green curry with flavoured rice. One yummy fare!!

Absolutely finger licking, freshly prepared food. One Star deducted due to the long wait after ordering our food. But no complaints since the food was superb. Must try is their Paneer butter masala. Nothing much to say about the ambience but well maintained and clean. Friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

Staff was kind support. Breakfast is almost Indian style. A little disappointed thing is Fried eggs are not available. Facility is not so good. Specially, I surprised see in gym. I recommend this hotel if you are staying for shopping only. Others..will never recommend.

One of those few places on my list that was saved up a long time ago and had the chance to visit after years. Located inside the Accord Hotel, Royal Indiana is one of those pure veg places that serve authentic veg starters, main courses, and desserts in buffet style. Some visit for their grand decor while others visit to try out the dishes of the renowned chef Venkatesh Bhat. 🤗 As you enter, valet parking takes care of the hassle and all we have to do is to reach L2 in the building. It is a quaint place with limited seating but the decor speaks for itself. It was classy, well-lit with South Indian embellishments and live Carnatic music to soothe our ears. The service was courteous with the team serving us a chocolate ganache on the house at the end owing to our special day. ❤️❤️ It was Nannari Sharbath for the welcome drink while Banana stem pepper chaaru for soup which was super smooth and very peppery. Moving on, it was Pumpkin Galouti Kebab with a burst of flavors all around Ajwani Paneer tikka - Super soft marinated paneer with an amazing aroma Kara paniyaram - Not the best but tender on the inside and went perfectly with the peanut chutney Veg cutlet - Beautifully minced veggies straight from the kitchen; had the perfect blend of sour and spice Pineapple porichadu - My sweet tooth cravings never stop; pineapple coated in sweet batter and glazed with sweet sugar syrup, this was crunchy, sweet, hot, and soft, PERFECT Corn adai - A bit plain from the corn but OK For the main course, we tried Bhat's special Sambar, Rasam, and Vendhaya Kozhambu. While the Sambar was so good, the rasam and kozhambu were out of this world. Soupy rasam and spicy kozhambu MUST TRY with their steamed rice Urulai veppudu - Well-fried potatoes sauteed in ground SI spices accompanied well with the rice and gravies Kothamira annam - Coriander flavored rice (variety rice), unique, and with the Gobi adraki (very soft and well cooked), this was pretty GOOD Subzi Biryani was full of aroma and fragrance from the authentic herbs; this bonded very well with the soupy Palak mushroom (Very healthy) To end up the meal with, it was Semiya custard payasam - OH WOW, not so sweet but so damn thick from the custard, AMAZING taste Chocolate Horlicks Mysore pak - Very buttery and sweet, though the flavor was not evident, this was soft and good Brownie - Couldn't believe that this was soft though it wasn't hot, Loved it Pineapple pastry - Puff pastry stuffed with sweet sauce and pineapple, not the best but OK Finally, the buffet price was a bit on the higher side but in recent times there are many coupons and offers everywhere which you could use to cut down a bit. 🥰🥰

Best Indian vegetarian buffet in town. Food was top notch and so the service. Jackfruit biriyani was too good. And so the desserts. There was a live light music which made the entire experience wholesome. Will definitely visit again.

It's better to book a table here cos you never get space if it's a spontaneous plan , it happened to us twice . This is a vegetarian restaurant and the food is splendid. Firstly we wanted to give a shot at all the cuisine so we chose Thai green curry which was great, pottalam parotta which was unexpectedly nice and they gave us extra salna too just in case . The paneer sizzler was amazing too. We ordered a Ratatouille but we got a what looked like a lasange. Only disappointment was the bao .. I am a huge fan of baos and here it was not that great. Food delivery was very prompt and staff were really polite and welcoming

They had a pretty decent ambience.We ordered Casseroles,Pastas and Mex starters. They were all delicious. Especially Spicy veg enchiladas. It was yummmmmm🤤 Desserts were a great disappointment from lotus biscoff icecream to punjabi faloodas. They dint meet our expectations.

While the mushroom soup did not meet expectations, the pineapple barbecue was flavorful and enjoyable, albeit a bit spicy. The lotus dish was also quite good. The fried rice was decent, though not exceptional. Unfortunately, the cheese dessert did not quite meet the standard. In conclusion, the overall experience was positive and the prospect of returning to this establishment is enticing.

Pure vegetarian fine dining restaurant in Velachery . Parking facility is convenient with valet . This is my second time , this time we went for a table buffet set of menu will be served one by one starting from soup salad starters and main course . We can choose a choice of soup , all starters will be portioned and if we want a refill they will do . Main course was also the same . Paneer tikka , veg balls , and crispy fried vegetables were good. Thai soup was spicy n good . In main course naan and Panner masala was my fav. They served chettinad biryani , sambar rice , curd rice , Hakka noodles with gobi manchurian. Desserts were brownie , panacota, ice cream and paayasam. All tasted good . Service and ambience could be better .

We went to have our dinner after coming across this place in Swiggy Dine-out. It was crowded and there was a lot of noise and we couldn't enjoy our food. The service was slow and pathetic. They didn't even serve water for the first 20 mins. Coming to the food: The chef basically has only one sauce- that is sweetened Shezwan sauce. He literally puts that everywhere - be it Crispy corn, paneer sizzlers or mushroom-baby corn sizzlers. It was too garlicky and the dishes lacked unique taste and variety. The mocktails saved the face of the restaurant. They tasted fresh and delicious. Highly not recommend to anyone who wants to spend their evening peacefully.

When having lunch in restaurants, me with my family usually take max one hour to finish to enjoy the lunch, however, first time we spent 2 hours eating in a restaurant and best part was we were getting hungry after completing one dish. Strange but true experience, one exceptional restaurant in Chennai. A must go restaurant if you are a fan of north Indian and Chinese foods. Every food you order will be tasty and sumptuous. Special credit to Mr. Williams who is the best hospitable manager I met in a restaurant. Thanks to the chef and the professional staffs for giving such tasty foods and warm experience.

The best vegetarian food in town. The restaurant is located in a heart of the city. The restaurant has excellent choice of Veg options including North Indian and Chinese food. The service staff have too much of patience during the busy hours. Even though the seating capacity is less the food turn around from kitchen is faster. I wish they can start the second outlet or add additional seats to avoid custoner arguments. To the reader you should try this restaurant if u are vegetarian and moreover please have patience during the peak time as you may not get table for dine in. This is simply not a restaurent,this is a "Palatial Place ". Highly TOP-NOTCH , LUXURIOUS , ROYAL,OPULENT, STUNNING ,RICH , PALATIAL etc. They have 3 set of Menus ( North Indian ,South Indian and Season al Offerings).It is a 💯% Vegetarian Restaurant. They served the food items in Silver Platters and Silver Katories and that was what we wanted. The Welcome treatment and Ambience was extremely Royal and Rich. As it was our Wedding Anniversary ,the Royal Vega team decorated our table with Rose Petals.The Restaurant itself was very much Posh ,Amazing , Fantastic, Ultra Luxurious and High Class. We ordered both South Indian and North Indian and the food was very good , authentic, traditional with natural flavours. Quantity of food was enough and more. After our food ,they had arranged a complimentary cake also. Delicious food served with great varieties.. Loved the way the food is being arranged and served. A great and a happy meal. As the name the place looks Royal and great. The food is completely vegetarian .we ordered all the 3 varieties of meals and 1 south Indian and the other 2 are North Indian kind of Thalis.. Which has Gujarati and Punjabi food . It got lot to eat which would be great if u go with a hungry stomach.. And the atmosphere is very elegant and graceful Can visit once but the prices are more than the mark as it is a star hotel

The restaurant is located in ITC Grand Chola. We are vegetarians and my sister saw the promotion video on YouTube and we decided to try it for dinner. They have three set menus, one based on South Indian cuisine, another on North Indian cuisine and the third for seasonal offerings. The food is served in a silver platter and silver katories. The ambience is great and the food tasty. The service is also nice. While the experience is pleasant, it did not match the one at Firaus in Hyderabad in respect of food or service.

One if it’s kind restaurant in Chola. It’s a 100% vegetarian and superb service, plus a royal ambience. They cook food live for every meal combination and super flexible for allergies and preferences. The food is on spicy side a bit. Must try is rasam and jackfruit item. Staff is very courteous, happy and accommodating. Must visit for vegetarians and vegans.

My wife and I dined at Royal Vega on 10th June 2023. We had Ranjit Khasa. Royal and scrumptious food, can't say one best item as every single item was a treat on the palate and eyes. To name the highlights, the anardaana raita and madhura tikkia tops the chart. As it was our wedding anniversary, Karuna, the restaurant manager, did little surprises in terms customized cakes and photo frame. Overall, this luxury dining is one of it's kind and we will come back to try the other menu as well.

I cannot tell you how long I've waited to go here! You can go here only with reservations and you need to book by Tue-Wed if you want to eat here by the weekend. The ambience was amazing! I liked how they served the food one after another and everything tasted good :) I didn't enjoy the cauliflower starters alone but everything else was good. One of the best vegetarian South Indian meals you can have!

In terms of food the taste was very good and authentic. The food variety is almost like what you eat at weddings but with much better quality. The price is justified for the quality of the food and they serve it again if you want. This place has one of the best ambience I've ever seen. It was the perfect fine dining experience with no rush and it's great for get togethers. Note: Make sure to call them and get a reservation beforehand. Walk in is not preferred here as every table will be booked

An extremely disappointing experience in such a high end fine dining restaurant with extremely great ambience but extremely poor service as well as food. Except the masala kulcha, none of the items can justify the cost through quality or quantity. It felt like the restaurateurs have just focused over the ambiance only, which was great by the way and except that nothing was noteworthy. I would not recommend this place for eating at all.

Hamsa 🪬 Opted for a private dining here. This place was too good in its ambience and aesthetics. Food was sumptuous and delicious. Most Dishes were unique and one of a kind. 5k for a couple was really worth it but too much to have it. Since it was a couple package, couldn't avoid. Really a worth experience. One drink , 3 starter , 4 main course , 2 breads , one soup and 3 desserts. It’s really amazing 🤩.

Some place and food would just get stuck in your heart this surely one of them. I was looking for authentic veg restaurants and i got to know Hamsa. Though it was top rated in all the suggestion channels I was sceptical about the food. But surprisingly it turned out to be a good food tummy full day 💜 we enjoyed trying out unique dishes. Totally different from usual. Definitely one of the best place to have a luxurious experience of great food, good service & great ambience especially with family and kids. We reserved the table and we noticed it was very exclusive crowd dining which is a plus you get to spend good time with family. We were the only family to be there till the end of their noon slot 😂 Worth the experience 💜 P.s they have a private dining room which completely has pure silver interiors and serving cases as well in silver. You can book in advance when you wanna have a private dining experience with family or with your loved ones. It’s on an expensive side but best for surprises :)

This place is probably one of the best highly rated vegetarian restaurants in Chennai. They give you a free gulab jamun when you sit down at the table. The food is cooked with precision and tastes excellent. All of the starters were delicious and intricately crafted. Our server was amazing and was very helpful. The main dishes were tasteful and carefully crafted. We ordered Peshwari Paneer Kebab, Paneer Tikka, and Baby-Corn Milagu Perattal for starters. Then we ordered Kofta Brindavan, Paneer Mahkni, Stuffed Kulcha, and Garlic+Butter Naan for our main dishes. Lastly, we ordered Saffron Kulfi, Filter Coffee Ice Cream, Chocolate Ice Cream, and Tender Coconut Ice Cream for dessert. All the food was good and I definitely recommend going here.
