So impressed with the soup kitchen. I treated my best friend for her birthday. I found this lovely place when I looked up places to eat in Stafford. Such friendly staff, very attentive and helped us choose from the vast menu! I loved that there are local delicacies on the menu such as oatcakes and rostis. I had the assam tea which was lovely. The rosti was delicious and my best friend had the pie and she loved it. I had carrot cake which was lovely but the bestie had biscoff cake which made me have food envy! We will be back. Definitely recommend.

If you want to go back in time to have a good dining experience don't look for a time machine, get into The Soup Kitchen. We have been with my wife and friends a few times and is always consistent in quality, service and hygiene. The English breakfast is made with the tastiest sausages and ingredients you will find. All cooked to perfection. Coffees and dinks also very well cared. Scones and sweets are also out of this time, as they were cooked by the tradition, very different from the industrialized products that you will find in other cafes and supermarkets. This is one of the few places in Stafford where you can still have the traditional Staffordshire Oatcakes. One of my favourites of the soup kitchen. Service is also excellent, friendly and professional at the same time. Staff is dressed in a uniform also that reinforces the idea of going back in time. The building is also a star. It is a listed property in my favourite town street, surrounded with plants and flowers. Ideal for your Stafford selfie.

We came to Stafford for a day trip. The local folks recommended Soup Kitchen and it was fair to say I was not disappointed. We were greeted with friendly and warm waiting staffs. The service is excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff who are always happy to make recommendations and answer any questions. The restaurant's attention to detail is evident in all aspects of the dining experience, from the carefully crafted menu to the well-presented dishes. The atmosphere is lively, with a buzz of conversation and laughter filling the room. Excellent food, service and atmosphere good. Steak and mushroom pie was a steak mushroom stew with puff pastry on top, tasted good. A pie to me should be incased in pastry. All freshly cooked.

All the food was spot on, excellent service, and lots of vegetarian options. We paid £100 for 4 of us sharing a bottle of bottle, including starters and mains, and more food than we could eat. I'd highly recommend if you're in the area.

I had a wonderful experience . The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our waiter, Islam, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. He recommended several dishes that we all enjoyed, including the tender and well-seasoned lamb and the sea bass. I would highly recommend. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back here again!

Very nice restaurant in every sense. Well decorated, good food, extra friendly staff and has exelent athmosphere. We had the mixed hot meze and then musaca and lamb shank. All delicious. We ended the meal with turkish cofee and home made backlava. Un imaginably good. There were many celebrations on that evenimg so lots of singing and turkish dress from staff animating the evening. The music can be loud at times but you can chat when the volume goes normal again. We will surelly come back one of this evenings for another special ocasion.

Wow we dined at the Riverbank Restaurant for the Spanish event and was not disappointed the food was amazing, so authentic and full of flavour. Everthing was cooked perfectly and to such a high standard and a real treat for me and my wife, the service was great too and our waiter Tom was very attentive and served to a high standard so well done Tom. To think that this is a college Restaurant and these chefs and waiters are only just starting off in their careers is amazing, to be paying only a fraction of what it would normally cost makes it even more worth while great job to all involved.the

Just visited the college restaurant for the first time, what can I say, the food quality and staff put most places I've been to in and around Stafford to shame! Service from Ty ( ? ) was polite and friendly, not intrusive at all. Can highly recommend the plaice goujons starter and the beef bourguignon was as tender as anything. If you've never been before, you need to try this place...

Been coming here twice-yearly since around 2016. A great eatery with a huge choice of all-you-can-eat buffet and it's so cheap! Always packed but if you book ahead it's not a problem, longest we've ever had to wait for our table is 3 or 4 minutes and that's usually 6-8 people seated. It is a bit noisy but there's kids, birthdays, you name it , going on. It certainly makes a welcome change to the usual stuff at the hotels adjacent.

I'm really disappointed with this place. Food was limited even though the website stated more options in the evening. Some food was luke warm, tasteless and over cooked. Seemed like the food had been sat in on the hot plate for days. Some food items were OK but not worth a visit. It's a pity really the venue is nice but I will not be in a hurry to go back. I normally keep away from buffet food because of poor standards and the amount of people who seem to get ill. I passed this place so thought I'd check it out. The food was great with lots to choose from, all hot and fresh. Lots of staff replenishing, clean and tidy. Very pleased I tried it out and would highly recommend 😁

At £17 for an all you can eat, I expected more than 3 vegan options of hot food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to vegans; for none vegans you can eat old MacDonald's farm here 🤢🤮 The stairs to the toilet require some permanent repair. Cables ties holding a banister up and hazard tape holding one of the steps together is not a great sign.

Ate there several years ago and had a good memory of the place. Went back recently and the place reeks of urine, the carpet is filthy and the food looked and tasted old. We couldn't even go beyond the first couple of bites before having to stop and leave. Nearly 50£ for not eating. Stay away from this place.

Just got home after celebrating my nephew's birthday and thought I would write a review. I have eaten here a few times and I can honestly say the food here is excellent. The staff are very helpful and polite, I took my 3 year old daughter and they looked after her and treated her like royalty. Thank you so much for a great meal, great service in a great setting.

Me and my partner ate here for the second time, first time being a fortnight ago. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough! The food is so fresh and delicious, not greasy/oily at all and you can tell they really care about the quality of their ingredients and cooking. The meat in the starters and mains was so tender, the pork momos were divine and the himalayan chicken was very tasty. We will certainly continue coming here for the best food we have tasted in Stafford by far. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff that are so welcoming also. Fantastic!

One of the most delicious and memorable meals I've had in the UK. Absolutely outstanding. Perfectly flavored, wonderful textures, fresh and light. On top of that the staff were lovely. Despite being super busy and stressed, they kept a warm and inviting atmosphere and put a smile on our faces throughout the entire meal. I will definitely be back for more! :)

Fantastic and consistent quality, friendly service. The only thing that lets this place down is the fine details. Menu's dropping to bits and the same with the table mats. Just this attention to detail would make dining here a spot on experience. I'm not really picking flies but it's just the icing on the cake. Not a criticism, just an observation.

I went with my wife on Fathers day without booking and we were served greatly. The staff was very friendly and professional, the food was tasty and well resented. We received complimentary pasta crisps, which we never tried before but they were great too. We had also some great calamari fritti (fried squid) as stater and then I took the fish and my wife some great ravioli with goat cheese. For desert a tiramisu. We will surely come back and would recommend to anyone willing to have a nice Italian treat a a fair price.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Nice interior especially with the sun out due to the vast glazing, almost feels like being outside. The staff here were very good. Really polite and helpful when we walked in to book. Efficient and helpful throughout, always looking out to see if we needed anything. Nice touch of free crisps at the table before we ordered. The food is good and very well presented. However, as it is everywhere, eating out is getting expensive which many places seem to compensate for by uping portion sizes with non expensive ingredients, this is my bug bear everywhere at the moment, not just Zizzi, but I think sadly it will see many turn away from eating out. My seafood carbanara pasta main was £16.50 and for that price I'd expect a lot more sauce, it was quite dry. Other than that they have everything else nailed.

One less star for the fiddlyness of the online ordering, it dragged out the first bit of the evening, but the staff were friendly and patient and kept their humour, and once we figured it all out the rest of the evening was flawless. Food was lovely, portion sizing was generous and good value. 👍 service was quick and the courses came out in a timely way. Thanks zizzi!
