We very much enjoyed the Wattis Room before our symphony tonight. The food was excellent (especially the scallops and the lamb), the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere is simply elegant. We came back during intermission to get a drink and a coffee, and were delighted to see there was almost no one else in there - compare that to the lines that form at the concessions! Not to mention they have their own bathroom - also with no line! A note on the dinner service here: they only do one seating. When you make a reservation, you may come in as early as 5:30 for dinner, but that table will be waiting for you until you show up. This is a wonderful way to make your trip to the symphony even more of a treat!

Excellent menu and superior service! Dine in a beautifully decorated room prior to the concert and come back for dessert during intermission. And, for ladies, you don't have to be concerned about the bathroom lines! Food is absolutely great and service is fantastic. On average you will walk away for $100 per person for salad, dinner, dessert, and one drink. I highly recommend The Wattis Room!

My favorite dining room in San Francisco. It's in Davies Symphony Hall, so it's perfect for a pre-concert dinner. They have a small menu to choose from, but the items vary all the time and are always good. The service is impeccable, and the bartender, Raymond, is very friendly and remembers what I like to drink. The room is quiet and beautifully furnished.

I have eaten at the Wattis Room many times over the years and have always loved the ambiance and elegance of the place. However, I have never been overly impressed with the food (although the service is top drawer). It was always good without being exceptional, and often with too small of portions. Last night, however, I had one of the best meals of my life there! Simple, but elegantly presented, lamb (my favorite dish) was the best I have ever tasted, including my own excellent presentation (if I do say so!) The size of the dish was relatively small, but that's the Wattis Room style. Every element was outstanding, bread, salad, vegetable, main course, outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass, and delicious custom crafted "cookies" (three different fillings wrapped in filo dough, I believe). The place isn't cheap! Everything is a la carte. But it is as good as it gets!

I am a wedding coordinator who had a wedding here. This is a such a perfect place to have your dream wedding. Located inside the beautiful Davies Symphony Hall at SF, this venue made our wedding so unforgettable. All of our guests, including the bride and the groom, all enjoyed the intimate and romantic ambiance here. Plus, the catering service and cocktail are amazing too! We all enjoyed a memorable wedding together! I would highly recommend here to our new couples!

It was probably no hands down is the best part of the night. Nobody seems to be upset that we were rolling around on the sidewalk singing at the top of our lungs well really yelling at invisible voices in her head about them killing each other and being from the military experiments that are teaching people how to jump into other people's bodies, it was deep very deep and I was eating fried chicken from the gas station inside their little covid annex thing and like a few people drove by but didn't notice that I was using it as a makeshift loo :-) The only downside was that our phones ride a battery our power packs were out of battery and yeah we were just like without any power or juice or power juice

One of the most amazing through-and-through vegan restaurant with insanely delicious gluten free options I have been to in this city. The food is outrageously amazing, fresh, made in house, served with kindness and care and fairly priced. The wait staff is incredibly attentive, kind, professional, courteous and respectful. The owner surprised me with a happy birthday song and a slice of cake on the house without us even telling them that it was my birthday. They just heard us talk and cared. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy and clean. 100% recommend, this place is run with love, care and professionalism. Sorry I don’t have more photos, we just had such a great time and the food was so good we didn’t think of “instagramming”, we just enjoyed the moment so very much.

The most delicious raw dishes we’ve ever tasted. The raw ravioli was DIVINE. The raw tacos were phenomenal. Really enjoyed the brownie and cheesecake with raspberry sauce!!! Even the salad was amazing. We give thanks for your beautiful offerings and look forward to your nourishment the next time we visit San Francisco. The staff was very kind. Great find when visiting San Francisco. Why go to a restaurant that only provides an option or two on the menu when you can go to a 100% Vegan restaurant? The food was great! We started with the recommended empanada and salad. Our entrees were Lasagna and Fideo. We finished with the Mousse. Every dish was great! The service was very good. It's on our list for the next visit.

First I will say the decor in this place is very cool. It’s a very intimate place with dim lighting. The staff was friendly, including the band. I liked how they put effort into engaging with the audience in between their performance. I think this restaurant fell a bit short with the food. The food did not taste good at all. I was pretty disappointed with the food and feel guilty writing this review because the staff was so nice. But even the lemonade tasted bitter. Not sure how you can go wrong with lemonade. But anyways this place was fun but I don’t think I will ever return here.

This place is awesome. Highly recommend. Especially if you are looking for a very special, and intimate venue that celebrates live music, dance and good vegan food :-). The building is also historic (used to be a speakeasy) and the vibe is really, really good.

A really nice dinner and jazz club in the Tenderloin. Pleasant bar upstairs, and performances with bar and dinner downstairs. They get some really great musicians and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with high energy for the music. A few tables have obstructed views but I have always found great seating. Highly recommended.

I struggled with how many stars to give in this review. The food was very flavourful and the service was exceptional, but I wasn't fond of the jazz group. To me jazz is classy, but this was a whole different experience for me. In my opinion, the music was definitely not classy. There was a lot of vulgar language used during the performance. As soon as we were done eating we asked for our check so we could leave. We did not want to stay to end of the performance. We paid $45 per person for our reservation, and another $90 per person for dinner and one drink. For the price we paid it would have been nice to enjoy a good performance.

So good! We saw Sungazer here and had the prix fix menu with drinks! Great dinner and show, but don’t expect to show up and mosh! Parking is bad. Park in a safer-feeling, cleaner part of town and grab a taxi or walk. I don’t think it’s actually too unsafe, but it’s not a welcoming area outside. The venue is great though! There’s a street-level bar, but the main stage/bar/dining area is downstairs. Super lovely!

Such a great experience, my first time in a jazz club , music food and the ambiance was great, oh my god i loved the chicken dish that I ordered , my server was so good and staff were very friendly , we got a great sitting spot, come visit this place, it gave me the John wick feeling 🤣, if you know what I mean 😆

We visit this location on April 20 2018. We ordered chicken wings, Louisiana lemonade, and a ginger beer. Everything was good and the servers was nice. My only problem was the cost but other than that I was good. The bathrooms was clean as well. The most important thing was the music and I must say it was "off the chain". I wanted to dance and wish they had a dance floor. They were really really good and we enjoyed ourselves.

Visited Biscuits & Blues on my first night in San Francisco. Awesome, little blues joint with friendly waitresses and good drinks. I was excited to see Christone Kingfish Ingram. He absolutely blew the lid off the place. Seeing such powerful music in such an intimate setting is a real treat. I unfortunately didn't try the biscuits, that's on me. Just an excuse to go back! This is a must stop experience for and blues fan. I really wish I lived closer.

Great classy place. Top of the line service and presentation. I dined here with a great group of friends on July 23, 2024, and I had a great time. Everything from wine to food was delicious. My favorite was the grilled salmon. Absolutely cooked to perfection. I can honestly say the best salmon I had over my entire life. I highly recommend it.

Can we give six stars? This place is a San Francisco institution. If you're in town for a few days you should make it a point to stop by here. Have a drink. Grab a bite to eat. Hang out with some friends. They were for sure make you feel comfortable and at home and went here with the group of six people and everyone was treated great. The food was excellent. Decent wine list beer on top of course. Many cocktails to be had. Did we mention the live music? It's not enough to have a piano player, but there are also vocals to go on with it. It really set the mood for the evening

If you’re looking for a classic dining experience set in a mid century ambiance, maybe even “new york-ish”…this is it! And i meant that in the best way possible. Its a great place for a birthday or celebratory dinner. Live music and delicious food. You HAVE to get the bone marrow as well. This is up there with other legacy city institutions in my opinion. Yes yes house of prime rib, but bix is definitely a part of that conversation.

The ambiance was wonderful! They had a pianist playing that evening. He was very good, and made dinner more enjoyable. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I ordered the wagyu and it was fatty. It was ok, but I felt it was way overpriced. I would go back just for drinks and the jazz band, or pianist.

Awesome place to sit at the bar, have some drinks and order some snacks. They give you a little bowl of Chex mix which is nice. Their rolls are really good and so is just about everything on their menu. If it’s a hot day out, they have A/C so it’s the perfect place to cool off. Also their steak is one of my favorites. Staff is always very friendly, the one female bartender makes the best espresso martini’s

I kicked off my birthday week with dinner and a show at Berber SF last night and it was fantastic! The food was very good, lovely exotic Moroccan flavors. The service was wonderful, staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The show was highly entertaining! Will go back! Highly recommend!

Brought our mom here to celebrate her 80th birthday! The service was excellent and attentive. The food was delicious. The lamb tagine was tender and juicy. The Moroccan chips crispy and well seasoned. The trio of bread dips was amazing -- each a delightful flavor. The couscous was filling and flavorful. The octopus was a good portion, but a bit rubbery. We even had mint tea which took my taste buds back to my time spent in Morocco. The atmosphere was electric and mysterious. The performers were personable and talented and we appreciated how they greeted every patron and announced all celebrations. My mom really enjoyed herself and was excited to have this memorable experience. Thanks Berber for a great evening!!

It was a nice experience having dinner with the show. The dinner had a prix fixe menu of bread, olives, lamb tagine, and baklava for dessert. The drinks were great and the food was good, however, it was a pricey evening out.

I just got back from Marrakesh and miss it so much already. We went to Berber in SF for the Persian New Year Celebration high tea and we had a wonderful time. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout my visit. Even though most of them are not Berber (a member of the indigenous People from North Africa), they remind me of Moroccans a lot. So genuine, so much passion & their hospitality. The food was amazing and authentic to Marrakesh. I was blown away by the flavors and textures in each bite. The standout for me was the cocktail, which was the perfect complement to my meal. According to Michelin guide, Berber's cocktail is top-notch must-try. Bartender Bo is the best. We haven't got the opportunity to watch dinner show. It looks like circus do Soleil, can't wait for my next dinner show 3 course experience.
