This place is amazing. Best Mexican food I've had in 10 years in north tx. Delicious salsa bar. I tried them all so good!!!! I got an everything (con todo) birria de res burrito with their salsa that looks like it's mixed with pico and it's the best burrito I have ever had in my life! My 4 yr old son who only likes Happy Meals and ice cream kept saying "so good!" as he ate his plane asada burrito. The place was quite empty plenty of seating. There are spices I haven't seen anywhere else this selection for Mexican Cuisine sold here as well. Definitely stop here if you're close, local or if you're coming through. A must stop!

I love the tacos de asada and their agua de Fresa is so good!!! Churros are the best dessert!! I love the owner she’s the best always there and happy. Definitely y’all need to stop and try some tacos

My son (teenager) and I stopped by after football practice and ordered the ~12 inch steak hoagies (I don't remember what they were called). We also ordered a side of fries each and a drink. The bill came out to about $31. We couldn't finish the footling sandwiches and fries, it was a hefty sandwich that we both wanted to take home and finish the next day (my son ate his and then my leftovers before I had a chance). I added some lime juice and hot sauce which tasted great. My son ate it "as is." The fries were seasoned fries (like Rallies?) We didn't actually need the fries, the sandwiches would have been enough for both of us. We were greeted within a about a minute of arriving and were eating our food within 12 minutes. Staff was nice, the place seemed clean and a lot of people came in for the ice cream options while we were waiting. The place is nothing fancy, more of a hometown diner feel with a Latino spin on everything. If you're looking for some decent food without going to a fast food chain or more formal establishment, this is a good option in Hereford. I'll be going back for that sandwich. This was my only visit to this establishment and everything went well, I will update as I explore the menu and gain additional service experience. Additional note: my son and I thought the place was closed because when we pushed on the door it seemed locked and were about to leave when a person passing by told us to; "push hard" because it sticks.

I went in at 330 pm for 2 papas locas and they took a hour to make them for me on top of that I clearly stated that I didn’t want sour cream or mayo on one how ever they still put it on there! They also had a very rude attitude and made the order with anger they also put way to much salt I literally had to throw them away they same way they were given to me.

Love this place!!! Don't judge this book by its cover. Good prices, good food, and great service. I prefer the quiet and darker atmosphere because it helps me relax. If you love a bright and hip atmosphere then you'll rate this aspect much lower. But, the food is excellent for the price and you can bring your family without having to take out a small loan for good Japanese food. Now they have a good selection of adult beverages. Large selection of non-dairy food. Staff is very professional and efficient, never had my order messed up. If you need a to-go order, usually about a 15 min wait. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome food, we really enjoyed and would absolutely recommend the food and surroundings here. Our server could have been a little more friendly but she was attentive and polite. We will definitely be coming back here if and when we are in the area.

Very tasty. Glad I found this hidden gem. I thought the prices were reasonable considering that many places now have dramatically increased their price for menial reasons. Food a little on the salty side but everything was good. Ginger sauce is bomb. I could detect small pieces of real ginger which is a first in all the steakhouses I’ve been to. Workers were a little reserved at first but opened up and very nice after a while. I like the atmosphere it’s calm yet vibrant. Nothing too fancy but not trashy either.

I took a friend of mine here for her birthday. First time for both of us and Omgoodness, I'm inlove. I loved the calamari and the sauce was wonderful. We actually didn't realize everything we ordered was cooked so next time, raw!! It was all fabulous and will definitely go back. Something we both tried for fun that wasn't quite either of our taste buds was the octopus 😆 but we tried it. I'm from Tulia so totally worth the drive to Hereford!!! So I took my daughter since the first experience was so good. The food was excellent but the service wasn't up to par by no means. Our food came quickly and was delicious but the waitress after that just disappeared. We had to ask for a refill on drinks, they don't serve coffee ( oh my who doesn't serve coffee) especially if you decided to have dessert. We waited and waited finally flagged her down for to go boxes and waited again before receiving our check. Originally we were going to leave a 20.00 tip, then I notice the chef had a tip jar so my daughter left 5.00 for him and 10.00 to the waitress. In all actuality it should have been the other way around. Anyway as good as the food was, I think I'll pass. Service is just as important as the food.

I liked this place. My only complaint is that the stakes are priced pretty high. I can get a better plate at Texas Roadhouse for way less. That being said the food was very good and I will be back.

One of the few restaurants in Hereford that is open past 6pm, and a true gem. The Chicken Mescalero was outstanding!!! Highly recommend!!! The portions are more than generous compared to the prices.

Went for a late lunch early dinner. Couldn't order off the dinner menu, so very limited items are available for lunch. Ended up with an appetizer, and we both got the chicken fried steak. I'm sure this is an evening or weekend type place. Unfortunately, neither of us had been impressed. The food was very bland and lackluster. Was hoping for something special. This left us both very disappointed and dissatisfied. Really wanted to enjoy our experience at Dakotas. Sorry...!!! Was looking for a lot more.

Excellent service super clean and nice decor. Didn't wait long to be served our meals. The egg drop soup is tasty and our spicy combination rice main dish of shrimp, chicken and beef was on point. The egg rolls were also a nice appetizer. Grear plate size for a fair price. Definitely going to go back.

Had moo goo gai pan. It was terrible. And way too expensive. Sauce was watery. No flavor on chicken. Vegetables tough. Eggroll not great. And they no longer have hot mustard, which i love. Rice was well , rice. Very disappointed. Its always been good in the past. What's going on. ? Probably won't be returning for a while.

Food was served old 🤢 chicken was hard as if cooked twice to keep warm. Shrimp fried rice was spoiled yet warmed and served. Requested a refund and was asked to not go again or I’d get a NO TRESPASSING!! Definitely not worth a star. 🤢🤮

This is still my favorite restaurant since I was a kid. The atmosphere is always nice, and comforting. The staff are always attentive, respectful, and kind. The food is absolutely amazing, and honestly I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Nobody beats their enchiladas, in my opinion. I definitely recommend everyone try it if they're in the Hereford area. Definitely a staple of a restaurant for the town.

So much better than thought it would be. I’m so picky about Mexican food. This is AUTHENTIC homemade. Salsa was spicy for my taste but the chili verde was flavorful within being spicy! AMAZING! You have to try this place! Elvia was the best waitress- ask for her!!!

This place is excellent!!! Have been there twice. So far I have had the enchiladas as well as the carne asada and both were really good!!! The plates come with rice and beans, lettuce, tomatoes sour cream and guacamole. The rice and beans are out of this world!!! Their complimentary chips and salsa are excellent as well.

Good food and service. Cute clean place. We both ordered enchiladas and it was served super fast. Generally, I’m not a fan of refried beans, but theirs was super tasty. Excellent salsa too. Prices were very reasonable.

This is at the top of my list…. Salad bar more than half was not available covered in paper towels, mixed lettuce was the parts that should have been thrown away. Loaded baked potato was about the size of a tennis ball and not completely cooked. Chicken fried steak was a pre made patty of something that looked like meat also not heated completely, cold under the breading of some sort. Really bad. Before ordering I asked the waitress if the chicken fried steak was fresh/ hand made and not the pre made garbage type. She stated that they make them fresh every morning, however she did not say that they were probably made fresh every morning in a damn factory in China. But let me say the white grave was ok. Cause without it I would not have been able to eat the cold mystery meat. Oh the tea was also good thank god needed it to wash it down. The food is way overpriced for what you receive. They really need to evaluate the quality of food that is being served, or better yet close the doors and turn it into a pawn shop. This place makes McDonalds a five star restaurant. And you wonder how it’s at the top of my list? My list of places to never eat at again…. Sorry

We were ther over an hour waiting on our food. The people at the tables behind and in front of us ordered aftrr we did and got their food. They were finished eatting while we were still waiting on our food. Never hot our food finally left and they still charged us for my glass of tea. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY APPAULING. Will never return. What a joke of a restaurant.
