We visited two times, dishes tasted quite different than the first time we went! All the dishes got very salty except the pork. Pork is amazing, definitely better than steak! The first time we went we ordered duck, very nicely cooked and flavorful! Highly recommended if you want to order meat, just order pork and duck! A romantic place with good food. The famous duck can feed more than 2. 3-4 people can easily share it if ordering other dishes on the menu. Duck was juicy, and the jus was great, but it would've been better if I had been served the legs, too! West Coast oysters were superb. Souffle could be more tender. They were more like sponge cakes. Great seaweed butter, though. Great service from the manager of the restaurant. Fabulous chocolate dessert made by pastry chef, which is hard to find in NYC these days.

I loved Francie! The food was excellent; we had a very hard time choosing our favorite dish. The starters are small but not disappointing, and all incredible. Pastas on the medium to small side as well, the duck pappardelle was great (perfect al dente bite!) if not just a little salty, but the bucatini was so well balanced. The pavlova was so refreshing - sweet and tart. Good espresso. My date and I spent an entertaining while discussing the aesthetic vibe of the place. We landed on "classy French bistro on a vintage cruise line", fun and classic. I liked seeing into the kitchen, and the bathrooms are clean. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that they didn't cram the tables too close together. The wait staff are kind and helpful, and also waited for both my date and I to be at the table to hand us the check, which a lot of places don't do. Bonus: I love the presentation of their whole roast duck - while we didn't indulge this time, I plan to return to try it sometime soon.

I can’t state this vehemently enough… Dining at The Musket Room was an absolutely phenomenal experience. I have been lucky enough to dine around the world and have had a few Michelin star experiences. This one was tops. This meal will be remembered fondly for the entirety of my life. My friend and I both enjoyed the Omnivore tasting menu and the wine pairing. The worry with a tasting menu is that you will be full before you finish, hungry when you leave, or that each dish couldn’t possibly be delicious. This tasting menu blew all of the preconceived notions of what a tasting menu should be out of the water. Each dish was a flavor sensation. It was the perfect amount of food for a full experience. And the wine pairing was absolutely outrageous — I was wildly impressed with each combination. The wines were so delicious that my friend and I asked for pictures of a few of the bottle labels to look for when we return home. Finally, our server Bobby made the entire experience memorable. He was attentive, friendly, casual, caring, funny, welcoming, informative. Bobby made us feel like we were his only table for the night, like we were in his living room, like we could be friends for life. I would visit 1000 more times to sit and chat with Bobby. We had friends show up at the tail end of our meal and he invited them to sit next to us, treated them to a glass of dessert wine, and gave them the cookie box that complemented our meal. I can’t imagine ever having better service than what we received from Bobby. I will be recommending The Musket Room to everyone I know, forever. I hope it is open for decades to come, I will be returning every time I am in NYC. I would give 6 out of 5 stars if I could, rate it an 11 out of 10. Fantastic.

Tasting menu was lovely and well-priced. The interior was fairly relaxed for an upscale restaurant, which gave it a warm, homey vibe, and the tasting menu flavors echoed the environment. There was quite some variety across all the dishes, and some sort of odd tastes, but the bread with anchovy butter was fantastic, and the real star of the show was the fruity and tropical tuna. We enjoyed the tuna so much that we separately ordered a few more plates to share, since the flavors were so bright and the texture was immaculate. The starter with caviar was also delightful. Overall, the portions are small, even for a tasting menu, so I wouldn’t expect to be super full but it was a fun trip and I’d recommend visiting at least once.

The tasting menu is lovely. Well balanced, fairly priced and a good amount of food. All the dishes seemed very thoughtful and were well presented. This place is upscale but still has an approachable feel which I find really nice! I’d recommend this place to try!

Went here on a whim last Saturday evening, and it was not at all what I expected (though not necessary in a bad way). With a name like “The Musket Room”, I was expecting wood paneling, some dead animal heads, and maybe a musket on the wall. It fact, the atmosphere was modern, trendy, and fairly unassuming. My impression is that the restaurant wanted the food, not the decor, to make the impression. I had the omnivore tasting menu with the wine pairing. With the first toe courses (caviar and lamb tartar, along with a champagne wine pairing) I was worried that I committed to a fairly expensive outing for only “okay” food. Fortunately, things improved markedly from there. The octopus and pork dishes were fantastic, and the wine pairings got more interesting as the evening progressed. The Jamon and mussel supplement was worth the add-on (though I’d suggest splitting it, just so you can try it). Overall, I thought it was an interesting culinary experience and I’m glad I did it, but I probably won’t go back at that price point.

Went here for an indulgent anniversary dinner. Did not disappoint! In fact we left deciding this needs to become an annual tradition. We got the vegan tasting menu with the added reserve wine pairing, which were both phenomenal. The flavors were so complex and some dishes introduced me to spices and ingredients I had never eaten. The staff were delightful and so informative. Absolute wonderful experience.

Few tips for the waiters here: must offer steak knife if the patron orders a steak. This should not be an optional request. The food was good but the service made the experience less wanting to go back. The wine glasses were always empty (in other words the wait staff were not there to keep filling them). The place had a good ambience. If not for the service quality, would recommend a higher rating overall.

Have only visited the bar here but that was good enough to give it 5 stars. The staff is super friendly and makes amazing drinks! I’d say my favorite drink was the Burnout but the bartenders can very easily make you something off menu if that’s what you prefer. Highly recommend stopping by!

Very lovely place to be in . Staff is excellent. The building is a nice change of pace . The food is great . Little more on the expensive side but I would say worth it. The seared scallops was excellent but a little less salt would make it more of a delicacy. Same with the ribeye . But will happily come back . More expensive but worth the experience .

Our last night in New York my husband and I decided to be a little fancy and have a nice dinner and spend some $$. The whole experience was amazing. Our waitress was great and had many recommendations when I asked questions about different dishes and wine! All the wait staff where amazing! Our meals where delicious! The toffee pudding though was the best thing Iv tasted. If you do decide to come to this establishment it is located on the 2nd floor of The New York EDITION. I definitely would recommend restaurant to others! And I also can’t wait to come back when we come back in a year! Huge thank you to the wait staff for making the experience amazing!

Exceptional service. Favorite dishes were the truffle tortellini with chestnuts, smoked rutabaga, apple donut. Extreme attention to detail about food preferences and restrictions, in some cases with minutes of notice. Even though I wasn't a fan of every dish, the flavors ranged from very good to sublime. Would return and highly recommend.

From the moment we were greeted at the door, we knew this was going to be an experience like no other. The service was beyond extraordinary. You felt like everyone was happy to see you and that they were awaiting your arrival. Friendly, personable but not overwhelming- just perfect. And, I’m talking about everyone: the greeter, the person that charged my phone, the person that walked us to the bathroom, the person who brought us holders for our pocketbooks so they were convenient for us, our servers - The list goes on. We went all in and had the 10 course meal for lunch last Saturday. Each course was labeled with one word, including the cocktails, keeping it simple and clean. Each morsel at the table was a new experience with different utensils and explanation and presentation. Unbelievable! We were also treated to enter the pristine working kitchen as they prepped for dinner, where we had a personalized moment with a private dessert tasting. Such a treat! Everything was amazing - Savory, sweet, all plant based. We were spoiled by this experience. It was worth every penny, every star. Kudos to everyone and thank you for exceeding the expectations of three hungry friends who lunch. Simply fabulous.

My husband and I are not vegetarian and we enjoyed our 6 course dinner here very much. We did not compare this with a non-vegan restaurant, as we don't think that's a fair comparison. One can argue about the price point that vegetarian dishes are cheaper than non-vegan ones, but there is the cost of labor and overheads that seems to have been discounted. With that being said, we found the dinner experience delightful. The service was excellent, as can be expected. Sometimes we wish the staff are not as stiff and can be less precise and corporate, but it's not likely given the caliber of this establishment. Our host was friendly and personable, which made our evening. We were impressed with the flavors and textures of the dishes. The cocktails (Rice and Jasmin) were delicious with intense flavor. And we were full by the end of the meal. I would recommend coming here without comparing it to another Michelin non-vegan restaurant.

The all vegan 3* is a must to see, eat and taste in the city. The complex dishes do not need anything spectacular around, they are mostly quiet, but the sensations explode once in your mouth in a very delicate way. We recommend to try a cocktail from the changing bar creations as a starter. The wine selection is gigantic and it helps to look at it before you are there…, otherwise you will be probably just overwhelmed. We usually do not do the wine pairing and went for a very nice California Merlot from 2015 that was perfect. The espresso at the end was the only thing we would want to improve… The service is super smooth, not creating any disturbing and the setting is very relaxing.

If you’re on the fence remember this has been at Michelin star level for 23 years - the sheer consistent brilliance required to execute that, is unthinkable. Pretty disappointing overall. Great wine selection. The oysters were decent. The rabbit spatzle was amazing. The bread was not complimentary and very dry. The duck was over cooked, bland, and may have been the worst I’ve ever had. Service wasn’t the best and was awkward at times. I expected more for the price tag. I’d recommend coming to this place to split a bottle of wine, but not for the food or service.

An authentic restaurant with a great interior design. I can tell that the service was above professional. They are so many wine 🍾 options so might want to go there to try them, they also have exotic cocktails with Austrian items. The menu was a little bit confusing to me as a first-time guest but they were helpful to make sure we are not lost. The prices are high so our expectations were excellent seeing and taste the duck was really good and the schnitzel but there were few items in the plate that weren't fresh in fortunately. There's something romantic about this place and it's a great place for a date.

What a treat this was. How Wallse never hit my radar all these years is beyond me. Our meal was amazing - I loved the foie gras terrine with pear gelato and requested extra brioche to finish it! The schnitzel was out of this world and compliment by a perfectly recommended Austrian white wine. I look forward to returning!

We visited numerous Michelin star restaurants in our New York City visit and all were great but Jean-Georges blew them all out of the water the food was spectacular service was personal and exceptional the sommelier was personable and accommodating the atmosphere was just beautiful the table lighting was beautiful and unique. My wife and I both agree on our last trip Jean-Georges was our favorite and exceeded all our exceptions. I would highly recommend and I want to thank the team for providing us a lasting memory and even allowing us a picture at the pass exceptional!!!

What a delightful experience. From the ambience and service to the food, everything was on point. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and we felt this was a very special experience. We chose the 10-course omnivore tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The only dish we didn't particularly enjoy was the squab. It was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were very interesting, but it felt too heavy as the ninth course and the flavor of the meat had a strong aftertaste. This, I'm sure is a matter of personal taste. I would have personally preferred the wagyu beef from the 6-course menu. The other nine courses, the amuse bouche, the special anniversary mousse dessert and the mignardises were all fabulous! The French and SE Asian flavors were delicate and complex at the same time, combining textures, temperatures and all four flavors plus umami. Just exquisite. Thank you for making our day so special. Shout out to our friendly server from Georgia.

I’m happy to see that Jean-Georges is every bit as good as it was when I was last in NYC with time for an exceptional dinner 9 years ago. It shines in every way and everything is without exception, exceptional. Perhaps in French one would say it’s magnifique! I met Jean-George’s brother Philippe and his daughter both of whom have a role in the tremendously great hospitality on display. It shows that you can be a two star Michelin restaurant and be warm and friendly with customers who prefer a convivial atmosphere rather than a formal one (not that there is anything wrong with that as Seinfeld might say—to each their own!). On my first visit I got to see Burt Reynolds at the table next to ours. On this visit I got to meet Philippe. Maybe next time I will meet Jean-Georges himself and then I can tell him personally how much I’ve loved his restaurants and that I remember and miss Vong from a long time ago.

Amazing creations, impeccable service, very good wine list and a cozy atmosphere. I've tried a lot of Michelin star restaurant in NYC that, to my opinion, did not deserve their star. This one: make it all worth it. L'Appart was an incredible experience all dishes were perfectly prepared and very tasteful. The staff was welcoming and polite, taking the time to pay attention to every detail. I could describe each plates and their flavours but I would rather say: try it for yourself it's worth the experience!!! The maître d'hôte took the time to communicate with me to verify if any of the guest has allergy or food restriction (really appreciate that!!!) therefore I was delighted to try a different dish for my shrimp allergy.

Phenomenal from start to finish. It has been almost 2 months since my visit and I still daydream about some of the dishes we had at L’Appart (the ramps gnocchi will go down as one of my lifetime favorite dishes). This restaurant is somewhat difficult to find. It's inside Le District at Brookfield, tucked away in a corner next to a grocery store area that has been closed down since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out. You have to go through Le District to get to it; they don't let you through the grocery store. The dining experience was wonderful. The ambiance was very calm and quiet, which I personally prefer. The tasting course was tasty and well executed with only minor issues: - The portion of the first course -- caviar with bread -- was pretty large. I wished it to be smaller in portion so I can ease into the meal. - There were two desserts: one heavy and sweet, one light and acidic. I wished to finish with the acidic one. Maybe they could add a small separate palate cleansing course after the cheese course. Every dish was good but the quail for me was the highlight of the course. It was absolutely succulent, and everything on the plate worked together to pack flavors into each mouthful. The service was good but had some issues: - We couldn't finish much of the cheeses during the cheese course and wanted to take them home. They took them to the kitchen to pack. We had forgotten about it when we were leaving. They never brought out the cheeses or stopped us to wait. - Our table had two servers. Both were fine but one of them was more friendly than the other, and I wished the other one was just as so. At the end of the caviar course, the not-as-friendly server said "you're not going to finish the caviar?" in a disapproving tone. He probably didn't mean it but it just came off condescending. These were minor issues but I expected a more flawless service at a pricy, Michelin-starred restaurant. Despite these hiccups, the experience was positive. They change the menu frequently so I'm looking forward to what they come up with next!
