We came to Redeye Grill as it was close to our hotel. We'd just arrived in NYC and wanted a drink and a light meal. This place was perfect for us. It had interesting decor, to say the least. But, it was comfortable and enjoyable. The drinks were big (and strong) which we appreciated after a long day flying. We chose to eat some of the "famous" coconut shrimp and a sushi roll. The shrimp were quite good, though I thought they were overpriced. The sushi was good. What made the night special was our server, Angelina. She took such good care of us. Even though they were closing and we were the last people in the restaurant, she never made us feel rushed.

This was spectacular. To begin the atmosphere was delightful. They had live music playing with bold dark woods all around. Not to mention our hotel is catered from here which is why we new the food would be good. Our waiter, I didn’t catch his name but he had a fantastic moustache, was amazing. He kept joking around with us and created an amazing experience for all of us. We all stuck to getting sushi for the most part and it was delightful to say the least. After dinner was completed they brought out complimentary cotton candy and chocolate cookies. And when I say they brought out cotton candy they brought a tower of cotton candy around 2 feet tall. It was crazy. Would definitely recommend

Fabulous service, swanky atmosphere, tasty food! The best of the best! I came here a few months ago on a Sunday for bottomless brunch. Every staff member was welcoming and cheery from the moment you enter. Our waitress was polite, friendly and helpful! She was an absolute Angel! I forgot her name but I remember she was from San Fran. Breakfast plates were divine as well were the mimosas! Art was beautiful too and I love the renaissance vibe. Love it here and would definitely come back if I’m in the Central Park area.

Our server was extremely attentive, patient, and polite. Table was cleared promptly and overall the dinner progressed at a nice pace. We ordered a variety of apps, the samosas and steak tacos were a highlight. All of our mains were delicious. The peppercorn steak came with 3 separate sauces, which added a a nice variety to the dish. The BBQ pulled beef sandwich was juicy and the fries extra crispy. Took 1 star off for desserts, they were very lackluster. Sorbet was too icy and sweet, apple tart was an apple turnover really, molten lava cake wasn’t super decadent. The highlight was the peanut butter chocolate mousse dome.

My husband and I went in with very high hopes tonight; unfortunately, I was quite disappointed in my order(this just may not have been the right restaurant for me). The manager, who was clearly very aware of every single person in the restaurant, immediately knew something was wrong. He made it his job to make SURE I did not leave the restaurant unhappy. My night went from truly unremarkable, to very nice because of his quick work. He is an asset to this restaurant. I wish I caught his name!! Thank you!

Excellent service. The staff here are welcoming, ready to help with your order, and are constantly making sure everything is running smoothly from beginning till end. The food is served fresh and hot, without having to wait long. The setting is beautiful with dimly lit areas for a more classy look. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend bringing a date, friends or family to this restaurant.

One of the most delicious meals I’ve had , chicken salad was amazing. What I enjoy the w most is breakfast, French toast , butter pancakes , sausage , western omelette and home fries. On every occasion, the food was fast, consistent refills on the coffee, classic New York diner. Definitely my go to place for lunch or breakfast.

After walking in. Nobody noticed me. So i ended up standing there for about 5 mins until i eventually just sat wherever i wanted. I've been here before and the food is what you would expect from a diner. Taste good and filling. The seating is comfortable and its warm inside. I left here feeling mission accomplished. Overall, a solid spot.

Disgusting service!!! Order a steak medium rare, got it well done. Sent it back and received a steak medium well. Told the waitress I will eat it because I'm no longer gonna wait for my food and it would be a waste at this point. Come time for the check and it's Full price. I went to speak to the manager who argued I should have sent it back again and that instead he will accomadate me but to never come back again. That he was banning me because he felt I wanted a free meal. I told him I don't want a free meal but a discount and that I shouldn't have to send my food back a third time. They should have gotten it right if not the first time then the second time!!! I'm not saying the food is bad but the service and attitude of the staff is down right horrible and the manager feels like business is so great he doesn't have to respect his customers and he's always right!!! DONT EAT HERE

My daughter and I absolutely love this diner. The place is warm and inviting. The owners are so friendly and they appreciate there customers. The breakfast is delicious and the French toast is amazing. Give them a try you won't regret it.

Still as iconic as ever, even with the change in name. And perhaps ironically, while it’s a steak house, it was the crab cake and the pasta a la presse that were the stars of the night. All the natural sweetness of the crab with the texture brought forth by the thinly slice potatoes and all without the heavy touch you would usually find in most crab cakes - this is perfection in a dish. And the pasta - it’s a showpiece dish to see the carcass reduced to a bowl of jul right in front of you.. a tad schadenfreude if I may say, then toss in the pasta that brings about an explosion of flavors. There is the steak of course and there’s nothing wrong with it of course - the NY strip is a joy, perfectly medium rare, perfectly seasoned but it just meets the (high) bar one would expect. Service is of course impeccable with David a wonderful somm to make sure we have the right wine to go with the night.

Modern NYC steakhouse. Very nice busy ambience and service is excellent. All the food served are very high quality and tasty. Expecially the pasta ala presse..using the concept of the french pressed duck, where as using a special machine and compressed the bones of game and duck and veg and squeeze out the juices from the bone. Then uses these bone juice essence to make a sauce to make the pasta....a good show and delicious. Prime rib is also very good but I think overpriced. The jus is a bit weak and diluted and can be improved. All in all this place is good and I recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I must say, the food was great! From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and welcoming. Our recent team dinner here was truly unforgettable, largely thanks to our exceptional server, Mo. He went above and beyond, ensuring our evening was not just a meal, but a memorable event. The menu offered an exciting selection of dishes, starting with the "Summer Time in N.Y." salad. A refreshing mix of cucumber, ricotta, tomato, and watermelon, all perfectly balanced with a balsamic reduction. The unexpected delight was the edible spaghetti blossom - a creative touch that made the dish extra special. Don't miss their Tater Tots. Served with Bacon-Onion Marmalade and Whipped Cheddar dipping sauce, they were an absolute crowd-pleaser. And the Beef Wellington for Two? Simply out of this world. Such a great addition to Herald Square area - It's complicated to find great restaurants there besides K-town. The experience was way beyond our expectations. Love the Mad Men and the 50's and 60's vibes - the environment is cozy and chic. We tried a lot of dishes: oysters were so fresh, Crab Rangoon was so refreshing! The ravioli was melting.. delicious. Beef Wellington for Two was perfection and the Crab ‘Rice-A-Roni’ was the perfect side. For dessert, we had Cherries Jubilee for Two, so so so good! I will definitely go back!

Delicious dishes, amazing service and very nice interior. They offer complimentary sparkling water and refill the cup the moment it’s empty. They answered all the questions and just in general the experience from the beginning to end was great. We did rack up a $384 bill for 3 and it was worth every penny.

Everything we got was delish ….except for the salmon. Salmon was “edible” but on the bland side. Sea scallops were good and the crab rice was on point The Crème Brûlée was ‘next level’ ! Service was exceptional.

An amazing experience of food and flourish. All menu items experienced were First rate. Cocktail are crisp and inspirational. Many appetizers to choose from. Solid Chef and staff at all encounters. Entrées run the gamut. Portion sizes are just right. The desserts, are the capper to a very satisfying evening of dining. The cherries flame, with chocolate, a Show stopper. Located in the Hotel Martinique, Herald square near Macy's. Good atmosphere, private dining areas with intimate bar. A theme from Mad Men, with an emphasis on the newspaper and publishing past industry of 1950's Manhattan. Very much Upside potential to this restaurant, with roots and bloodlines throughout the City's cuisine highways. They are new, innovative and worthy of further exploration.

Lovely atmosphere right near Lincoln Center, so a great pre-show spot. I had their sushi and really enjoyed the Yuzu roll. This is a great place to take parents visiting too. They have nice booths and take reservations.

We were walking around the area when ended up at Atlantic grill on west side. We found a table pretty easily. The ambiance of the restaurant is gorgeous. The hostess offered us a table right away and the server was as on top of us all the time trying to make our experience pleasant. We ordered the seafood paella, the lobster roll and oysters. All plates were delicious. You feel the freshness of the ingredients. We enjoyed our dinner and the whole experience was really nice.

The octopus was okay, I didn’t love it. The lobster roll however was delicious, the roll was warm and buttery, generous chunks of meat and the sauce was very complimenting, would definitely order it again. The lychee cheesecake wasn’t my favorite. Service was excellent!!!

I enjoyed this place. The customer service was very friendly and informative. Our server was very helpful. Explained the menu to help me pick the right meal. The seating area was comfortable and spacious. As u should already know they bring the raw meat out and u cook it on their grill. The meat is already seasoned and ready to go. Our server gave us very useful tips to help not only speed up the cooking process without burning it. The drinks that they had were also well made. Overall I enjoyed coming here & I'm looking forward to returning at a later date.

Amazing experience in everything. Spacious restaurant with plenty of seating options including a bar. Friendly staff and service was excellent. The waitress nicely explained the menu for me and how things go around the grill. It was my first kind of experience and I enjoyed every bit of it. I ordered the (limited time) Wagyu meal. It's little pricey and it fills. Would recommend the place to invite people over to impress in this unique spot.

I've been to 3 different guy-kaku locations and they never disappoint. Meats are always delicious, as well as the sides. Looooove the spicy bibimbap. Service is always good and the happy hour prices for drinks are great! Always leave super full and happy.

We came here for restaurant week menu. It’s $45 per person with a choice of appetizer, a set of 3 meats, a choice of veggies and a dessert. They also give each person a salad, 2 pieces of beef sushi, a miso soup and a bowl of rice on top of the set. It’s very well worth it. Two of us we couldn’t finish all the food and had to box up the leftover. One thing we were a bit disappointed about was the grill. The fire was not big enough and we can only use a corner of the grill to cook the meat and veggies. We asked our waiter to take a look, and he did make an effort to fix it. But the grill was still not hot enough. And they did not relocate us to a different table, I guess probably due to the amount of people on a Friday night. It took us quite some time to finish the dinner cuz we had to grill little by little. I think it’s only our table that had the bad grill. The table next to us came after us but left earlier than us.
