While passing by, I suddenly decided to go in and eat, and I was delighted to discover a restaurant with delicious food. There was a mistake with my order, but they kindly changed it for me. I had beer and pasta, and for dessert, I enjoyed ice cream with espresso. The Aglio e Olio was really tasty, and the vanilla ice cream was also delicious! The espresso was enjoyable. After eating, I saw reviews from other people mentioning that the restaurant operates with a daily menu. No wonder there were many menu items “sugestion by the staff”. It's a shame I didn't know about that when I visited! I'll definitely try the daily menu next time I get the chance. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and made it a pleasant dining experience! 👍

Entrées very good, pasta ok. Warning: be careful since the menu is confusing and we ended up paying much more than expected due to the entrées listed are not included in the menu. I want to believe it is not made on purpose, but...... :(

Amazing Italian pastries, mind blowing and delicious! They offer plant based coffees as well. The staff are very nice and attentive, which you can rarely spot in such a tourisic are! Highly recommend!

Very great italian restaurant! The most special in luxembourg city center for sure! They don‘t have a menu instead they have 6 suggestions (always changing). One star off because they only have 1 veggie option! Prices are ok! (18€ for a bug starter and 19€ for the pasta)

My wife and me went to this place for celebrating our anniversary. We reserved a table upfront (recommended at the weekend) and got one on the first floor. Personally I would prefer the first over the ground floor as it offers more privacy; the ground floor is nice as well but more for a casual occurrences. Usually I am not a wine expert but the waiter provided based on the food a excellent recommendation. To eat we got the cold plate with a mix of everything - if you want to try a lot of different types of seafood the plate is your choice 😉 we have eaten nearly 2.5h in a very relaxed manner and couldn't finish it as it's more than it looks like. Service is superb. Skilled staff, very friendly and helpful and especially proactive. Even once the restaurant was completely full, speed of service was excellent. Really recommendable place to have a nice dinner :)

Great restaurant especially for grilled fish (Dorade)! Their sauce is exquisite and complements a well cooked dish. I would have liked the salad to be with more sauce but this is a subjective preference. Their escalope bathing in sauce is also very tasty. Staff is also friendly and well mannered. A must try! NB: the only downside is that the place is relatively pricey. Expect to pay at least 40 euros for the main dish alone.

One of must visit restaurants in Luxembourg. Need to reserve the table. The most centric location on the place of Hotel de Ville. Service is very good,we enjoyed. Food is very nice, definitely worth visits more and more. Very fresh,very tasty.

Real French brasserie atmosphere, outstanding front of house, great food…one of my absolute favorites in the center of Luxembourg. Open during the afternoon too so great for a late lunch or early dinner.

I visited the restaurant during lunch time during the weekend and the experience was extremely positive. The vibe of the place is very welcoming but at the same time sophisticated and the service is almost perfect with the personnel taking care of all your needs and always serving with a smile. The food is delicious but to better convey the message I would suggest you to look at the photos of the plates. They also offer an interesting lunch menu during the week at below 40€ for a 3 plates lunch which in terms of quality/price is one of the best alternatives in the area. I will definitely come back.

Disappointed with the restodays menu. The leek starter was too salty, the duck (main) was too tough and one of the desserts (strawberry vacherin) was not available. However, ambience was lovely, service was really good and the egg benedict starter was a winner. Overall, didn’t think it was good value for money.

WINDSOR wants to be a posh Parisian BRASSERIE, but in Luxembourg. Come on in, if you seek honestly highest-quality BRASSERIE staples and a sticky-sweet table service, however you would have missed your 1st class TGV to Paris. You'll get served with all the bobo bling-bling Place de l'Étoile of the affluent 8th Arrondissement. Take the entrecôte, for instance. If you show interest in the matured meat option referred to in the menu without a price, the waiter would reveal a mobile blackboard with a bold price chalked on it. Per 100 grammes. Next, if you would be on a (certain) budget, or if you would have snacked beforehand, you would settle with the minimum carve-out (250 grammes) and, once served, would comfort yourself on just how shiny the accompanying brass pot with the béarnaise sauce is, and just how stylish the faux newspaper pouch for the chips is...as cheap this place is not. Nor is its location as posh as the real deal Parisian Place de l'Étoile.

We come here from time to time to sit on their terrace and it’s never disappointing. Whether for a juicy burger, a salad or just some drinks. Generally service is friendly and attentive. Try not to sit under a tree as the risk of getting pooped on by a bird is rather high!

Place de Paris always has charme and La Fontaine has become a good alternative for lunch. Great international service and good dishes allthough not the cheap end. Most important! The kitchen doesn't close at 14.00.

Staff were pleasant enough, but the food was not. I had a 'Steak' with egg, bacon and chips. The steak turned out to be a burger which just crumbled to pieces, the bacon was inedible due to being burnt. Chips in a wire basket went cold quickly as we sat outdoors. All in all, good service, poor food.

DO NOT go there!!! According to bartender, they have different owner and new menu since Jan. 2023, so most of the dishes shown on Google Map are no longer provided. As you can see the fries is different. Ordered Escargots (10 Euro) for hot starter, the presentation is dull and the taste is quite normal. Main course is Veau a la Zurichoise (25 Euro), very disappointed. Veau is dry, quite less mushroom and the color is BROWN! Ain't it supposed to be cooked with cream!? Even "light cream" is written in their menu. Called bartender foe this and he claimed the brown color is Luxembourg style. Are you kidding me or what? The only good thing in this meal is beer.

Absolutely quality! The older gentleman who served us (Gave my partner the pizza menu) you are absolutely phenomenal. You have an outstanding gift, ability to read the room and deliver exceptional service. Food was equally devine, we shared a seafood starter, followed by pasta and ravioli. My missus did not stop going on about how good the starter was. 100 percent recommend if you visit Luxembourg! Grazie!

Typical Italian restaurant. Staff is friendly and speak English. Food is very good. The decoration is unique. It was very hot inside the restaurante and there are no fans or airco.

Very nice menu choices and lovely staff. Highly suggested for lunch time as the starter+main plate+water/wine is €25 providing good quality for the price paid. I would suggest the pasta based plates over the meat or fish dishes as they have a more rich flavor and overall are more satisfactory from a taste perspective. The dinner menu seems a bit pricy for the plates that we tasted during lunch time, however it remains a nice restaurant for the lunch time. UPDATE: Recently came back for a second time during lunch time and it was even better than the first time.

we loved the food at Ristorante Essenza! They really surprised us! 😊 Giuseppe (the owner?) was extemely nice! And from sicily! (Posted a pic with him!) He treated us suuuper well and we’ll definitely come back. Listen to the recommendations of the house! We loved it! Price/food relation is incredible so really recommend coming here! We ate outside and loved seeing everyone pass by during a fantastic lux summer night.

We really enjoyed our evening at Essenza. We had the most polite and attentive waiter in a long time. We ordered a plate of tomato/mozzarella/burrata for starters, which was already unbelievably good. For our main we had ravioli with ricotta and parmesan cheese sauce and a plate of king prawns with roasted vegetables. The restaurants sommelier recommended us a wine for our main course which fitted perfectly. The whole experience was just very relaxing and beautiful while sitting in the heart of Luxembourgs old town.

Staff is very knowledgeable in the menu. Very friendly and can converse well in English. Food portion is very generous. More generous than you see in the picture (from their website) Ice cream : also from the same shop, and the mango is really a hit. Strong mango taste.

There were no tables available for our party of 6 initially, but they were kind enough to open up the upstairs area for us! We had a really kind and patient server, and we were served our drinks, appetizers and mains quite quickly. The meals were delicious and we were so happy to try some Luxembourgish food and wine! I would definitely go back there again!

Very good food and friendly staff. They have some authentic dishes from Luxembourg on the menu. I had Kniddelen, they were very tasty. The food was served fast and wasn't too pricey for the quality provided. I would defintily eat there again on my next visit. They provided water for our dog too. :)

I only came here for their ice cream stand. It is of high quality with a good choice of flavours to choose from and reasonable price too. I would recommend.

Went along with a friend who loves this place. I am not equally impressed after two visits. You cannot be in a hurry when eating here because service is slow. It doesn't take that long to get the food once you have ordered, but to order... Also, ordering I English didn't work well for me. Nevertheless, food is well made and the portions are more than generous. One of the visits we were served our salad once we already finsihed our meal so a whole bowl went to waste.
