Solo vacation. Ate at the bar. Fantastic restaurant! I looked for three things: atmosphere, friendliness of the staff, and most importantly, quality of the food. All three were amazing. Love the outdoor ambiance under the tent. Had great conversation with Casey and Alex. They gave me recommendations for things to do on the island and what to eat. For dinner, I had the artichoke dip appetizer, the Pangea salad, and the fish of the day with rosemary potatoes and steamed veggies. The food was delicious. Loved it all. Great work guys. I wish you continued success! I’ll hopefully be back soon and will definitely visit again.

I reserved a table for my sister’s birthday. I let the person who took my reservation and the waitress know it was a milestone birthday. We arrived on time and were sat promptly. The restaurant is cute. They gave us the table smack in the middle. I recommend future groups to be sat in the corner by the lights. Service. My God it was sooo slow. It took 20 minutes to put a drink order in. The drinks were very light. I dont drink often and I am a light weight, I felt NOTHING. Not even a buzz. The food is good, but they were out of some of the seafood. It’s a sea to table experience, I anticipated way more seafood options. Nada. I ordered a dessert for my sister telling the waitress again that it was her birthday. She brought over a dessert and just placed it on the table. When I looked at the waitress she looked surprised. I was like is there a candle? “Oh no we dont have any.” What a damn waste. Would I go again? Maybe for a lunch or something. Would I recommend it for an special occasion hell no. Overall they needed more seafood, better service, candles and they need to hire an experiential consultant to train the entire staff. I get island life, island time, and chill vibes, but even if you calculate for all of that it was still a below average experience.

LOVED this place! The food was to die for. The flank steak was one of the best I’ve ever had, mashed potatoes and veggies were perfect. On top of it the service was fantastic, our waitress was awesome! Can’t recommend this place more.

Amazing restaurant nestled in the eastern corner of the island. All the food is sustainable sourced so the items can change daily. The fish is always fresh. You have to make reservations via text so text in the morning and you will get a reply a couple hours later. There is parking along the frontage of the property along the side street. The view from the restaurant is perfect. There is also a guard with camera's. The servers were so nice and helpful. She gave us her recommendations which were spot on. All the dishes were fantastic. The drinks had the perfect balance of sweet and salty with the alcohol. The food came out fairly quickly. We had the artichoke dip which was great. The ceviche fish poke with plantains. Also we had fish of the day which was the runner fish and fajitas with fish if the day. For dessert it was the pumpkin rum cake with ice cream 🍦. Wow 😳😳 so delicious 😋.

I was in a rush last night trying to get quick food to go and get out of rain. This place surpassed my expectations. They were east to find sun a local area serving at a later time when other restaurants were closing. They had a to go line which was outdoors. The workers were so kind to invite me in the kitchen to get out of rain and grabbed me a menu. They were so uplifting. Each and every one from the cooks to the cleaners. I ordered some of the best Greek salad I’ve ever had, a well seasoned minestrone vegetable soup and delicious eggplant Parmesan! I’ve posted pictures but trust me, the pictures do t do justice! Even at a late time, they were able to deliver quickly and effectively! Couldn’t ask for better to go service. Not to mention, It looked so nice inside..I can’t wait to come back and dine in.

Mixed review, everyone in my party loved rhere food. I did not. I ordered the special of the Dat ravioli with spinach and roasted shrimp. Ravioli was good, but my shrimp tasted like I was eating a cube of salt. I would give it another try someday. Oh the cheesecake stay away order the tiramisu instead.

We visited Virgilio's as part of a food tour in Charlotte Amalie. The restaurant itself is cozy and dark, with various artwork displayed on the wall. It appears to be more of an upscale eatery as there were fine linens on the table. As part of the food tour, we enjoyed a bananas foster show. The end product was delicious. My only complaint was the portion was too small. 😂

We stumbled upon this restaurant whil craving Italian food. If you have a large party, better to make reservations before hand. The ambiance of this restaurant is one that is filled with art work all around. The fresh garlic bread was amazing. We orders two vegetarian pastas - both were packed with so much flavor & taste. Lava cake for dessert was the perfect way to end the meal! I would definitely recommend this place when on the island!

My wife and I had high hopes for Virgilio's after reading glowing reviews and coming highly recommended by our AirBnB hosts. The food was good, but the portions were small by mainland Italian restaurant standards. What we found unsatisfactory (hence the need to write this review) was the service we received. We had 6:30PM reservations, and were seated immediately in the back corner of the dining room. Another couple was seated next to us at the same time. The server came by and took our drink orders, and they were brought to us 20 mins later. At the same time, we placed our order for an appetizer, salads, and our entrees. At 7:20, our our appetizer arrived, followed shortly thereafter by our salads. The table next to us (who arrived after us) received their appetizers before us, was asked if they'd like another cocktail, and had their entrees in front of them before we received our appetizer. After almost 2 hours, at 8:20, we finally received our food, from one of the kitchen staff, and I had to ask for a glass of wine to pair with our meal. We began eating, and after another 20 minutes and our plates were empty, our wine came... Maybe the waitstaff just had an off-night, but at near-fine-dining prices, one should be able to expect excellent service. I'd give them a second shot to confirm if this might have been the case if I lived on the island, but I don't.

The food is so incredibly fresh and delicious, authentic and perfectly seasoned, the wines are paired perfectly with what you want, the dessert was worth all the calories you didn’t need but had to have and the service… I haven’t seen service like this in years! We’re still talking about how well we were treated from the time we walked in until the moment we left. I’m so grateful we found this gem and we definitely #enjoyed our time, eating authentic Italian food, sipping wine and listening to Frank Sinatra in the background! I personally felt like I was Julia Robert in Eat, Pray, Love. I ate like I hadn’t eaten in a while, I prayed and thanked God for all the love that surrounds me every day and I loved this little place! One of my all time favorites. Hope it’s yours too ❤️🥰💃🏻🎶🐉

Make a reservation! We didn’t, but luckily for us it’s the slow season and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. We had the best server in the joint who we’ve now adopted into our family. The drinks were delicious, the appetizers so tasty, and we were all nearly 100% satisfied with our food. Photos don’t do it justice because of low lighting.

Did I expect to get great Italian food on a Caribbean island? No. Did I get great Italian food on St Thomas? Absolutely! The muscles in the garlic cream sauce alone are worth the visit. The carbonara was fantastic and I really enjoyed the salmon a la Toscana.

One of my favorite dinner spots. Great pasta, great drinks and very good service. Mondays are pasta nights where you can get a fabulous entree for around $20 but honestly their normal menu prices are very fair. All pasta is homemade. Mussel appetizer was fabulous!!!

We had the shrimp scampi, and pasta carbonara. I was not expecting it to be this good! Everyone raved about it and it delivered!! This was probably our favorite meal on our vacation! The pasta is homemade every day. The drinks were great as well! The staff were attentive and friendly! You won’t be disappointed!

My husband, our 2 year old and I had an amazing experience here. We made a reservation for our 4 year anniversary. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal! They even drew and all the staff signed a personalized card with champagne at the end! Highly recommend this place for any special occasion!

Amazing. Simply amazing. Service was great and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Jerry was an amazing host and he took great care of us. Wanted to come back again and every time I visit, I will. We got the 9 course and were blown away by every bite. I have never had anything like this before and I feel like this experience has changed my assumptions on fine dining. This was one of the top 5 meals I've ever had. 7, 9, or 11 courses, the first is excellent and each one after is even better than the one before. You can sit at the counter and watch much of the food being prepared, the tables are great if you just want to relax and enjoy. The price is higher than other places on the island, but it is worth every penny. Go here. Whatever you are at St Thomas for, make sure to go here at least once.

This was such an amazing experience. I can not speak more highly of this restaurant and the service. We did a 9 course tasting menu and everything (I mean absolutely everything) was incredible. The service was so friendly and attentive. This place has a laid back vibe of the island with 5-star, high-end food. This is an ABSOLUTE must when visiting St. Thomas!!

One of the best meals I've ever had. Perfect ambiance, perfect service, and the most excellent lobster, seabass and scallops that we've ever eaten. Just a perfect evening for our honeymoon dinner. Thank you to the staff and management for a delightful evening. Was it cheap? No. But it was so very worth it.

My wife and had an amazing meal at Oceana on our last night in St. Thomas. The food was spectacular and the setting and ambiance were top-notch. We ordered raw oysters and Wahoo ceviche as a starter, both of which were delicious. For my entree I had the grilled snapper special, and my wife had the Carribean curried Mahi. Excellent! Our server Adan was attentive and polite and gave us great food and beverage recommendations. When we return to St. Thomas, Oceana will certainly be on our date night dining short list.

Enjoyed the meal, great location and hence nice ambience. It was our first time back after 2016 and it did not disappoint. They also have a nice section above the bar with lots of art on the walls. Keep in mind that they do not have a kids menu (if you plan to eat there with kids).

We went here for my mom’s birthday. The ambiance was perfect. There was a beautiful view of the water and an area to sit out and look at the ocean. The staff were extremely friendly & our server Pamela was very helpful with providing suggestions for what we should eat. I only had the Tofu but everyone’s food including mine was AMAZING! The chefs really put careful thought into each dish. The wait wasn’t long and it was such a fine dining experience. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting St. Thomas. Getting a reservation ahead of time is a must.

I had lunch and dinner at The Castle Grill on June 6, 2023. For lunch: I ordered and sat at the bar. The food came out quickly. I ordered the ceviche (Snapper, Tigers Milk, Citrus Glazed Sweet Potato, Onion, Plantain Crisps) and a virgin pina colada. The food had great texture, it was moist, and had good combination of flavors; however, it could’ve used more seasoning. The Virgin Pina Colada was good. For dinner: I sat in the dining area and ordered Frutti Di Mare Risotto (Arborio Rice, Shrimp, Calamari, Scallops, Saffron, Parmesan) and a watermelon sangria. The food came out in a timely manner. The server was cordial, polite, and professional. The risotto was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed it. The portion size was adequate. I like sangria, so wanted to try the watermelon sangria because I expected it to have an additional umph to the flavor with the watermelon. The sangria was just alright. Nothing spectacular as I could not taste watermelon in it. I was looking forward to the Tuesday night karaoke; however, it was cancelled due to DJ being sick.

Wow how does this place have 4.5 stars? The food was miserably prepared and service extremely slow. Today we ordered an $18 avocado toast and a $22 lox benedict. I’m allergic to eggs, so asked for the eggs to be on the side of my avocado toast (my husband usually eats them for me) - we were charged $4 for this request. Eggs still came on top. Additionally, we received only a small smear of avocado on the toast itself. I’m posting a photo for everybody to see. The Benedict came alone on a plate and looked soggy and sad. Service was slow and didn’t listen. They did try and rectify the “no avocado on the toast” situation, but I wouldn’t be back. There needs to be serious re-training to make this place worth even 40% of the prices they’re charging.

AVOID them. FAKE REVIEWS! Over priced and sub-par to a Dennys. The best thing on the menu is the view. What a sad place, 15min for coffe 15min to get cream for the coffee. 30 min for food. (Eggs Benedict) came to me pre popped, and looked like a 15yo prepared it. No coffee refills. Water tasted like pool water. waitress was nice, but very poorly trained.

3 Palms was hands down the best restaurant we ate at during our stay in St Thomas. The food was an up level experience over both Caribbean Fish Market and Sunset Grill which is saying something because both of those were also very good. The drinks here were also amazing and you could tell that they had one of the best bar staffs on the island. They sat 8 of us comfortably, and the views were awesome too. BTW - totally try the veal chop.. seriously!

Great for a fancier dinner out with the wifey. The staff was excellent, extremely attentive, and delightful. We had the lobster ravioli (pretty good, but too rich for my wife) and crawfish risotto (amazing and fresh with the asparagus). Our mains were the scallops and also the veal(that night's special). Both were excellent. The veal was much more than I could eat though if one were really hungry the scallops might leave one wanting a side as well. For dessert we had the key lime tart. Nothing earth shattering but still excellent. If your looking for location is right above hooked and behind Agave.

First time in St. Thomas & this place kept coming up! Many people recommended it despite never having been & it was in a magazine they handed us at the airport. 📰The pictures looked incredible!! It must have been a 🌟 sign 🌟… or so I thought. The drinks were freaking phenomenal. 🍸🥃Our bartender/ waitress was so friendly! 💃Her drinks were the perfect mix every time. I forgot her name, Samantha could it have been? I’m so sorry to forget as she definitely left an impression! She was great conversation, very informative, and overall awesome. 💁♀️ 10/10… five stars for the rockstar she was. The menu is BEYOND OVERPRICED 💸💸 for the quality of food 👎👎 We are visiting from Manhattan, NYC. We know food, and have experience with spending way too much on food. But if it’s good, it’s good! 👍👍 We chose the octopus 🐙 and a burrata ⚪️ for starters. The octopus was cooked well, especially given the fact that octopus is difficult to cook and can easily turn into a piece of tough rubber. The only issue is that it wasn’t seasoned well. 9/10 for taste. Possibly worth the price tag. The Burrata was over a few leaves of arugula 🍃 and half-cut cherry tomatoes 🍅 in a light vinaigrette. You could have added more greens. Possibly a drizzle of balsamic? The few cherry tomatoes were perfectly crisp and sweet! The Burrata though was HARD! 🤜 When you cut into a Burrata it’s like the molten lava cake of cheese. It is supposed to ooze out deliciousness. Not this one. I could have thrown it at my husband who ate most of it anyway because “we don’t waste food!” And he’s right! but please make sure your food is fresh 🙏 Huge disappointment. For entrees we had the swordfish which looked yummy, but VERY TINY PORTION. 8/10 bc it was not seasoned, but the fish itself seemed fresh, despite being the smallest portion of food in the bowl. 🥣 We also opted for the Ravioli special which was apparently made in-house. That sounded awesome!! They were said to have had short rib in the center. Sounded even better. 😋 We were served TWO RAVIOLIS. TWO. Each with two tiny squares in the middle of the pasta. Nothing else, just two short rib squares in each of the two raviolis. Usually ravioli comes with a filling… i mean that’s what a ravioli is… a little pocket of yum? These were not “filled” other than the two tiny squares of cut short rib. The sauce was a red wine reduction I believe? It was okay as far as flavor but could have been thickened a bit- very liquid like. 0/10 because who serves 2 ravioli? Even at the $$expensive$$ restaurants in Manhattan we have never been served two ravioli. We have traveled throughout Europe and not once were we served TWO, BASICALLY EMPTY 😑 ravioli. I am 2nd generation italian-American and Nonna is shaking her head at me for eating these empty Ravioli 🖐️. Our $200 bill left us still hungry. 🫠 Management needs to do a little revision. Please!!! I hate to be negative but I hope this serves as helpful and constructive. The potential is amazing and I am sure everyone who “recommended” this place to us without actually having been, would most likely go if the quality of food made sense with the heavy price tag attached. (I would love to come back and update this review!)

A really lovely small restaurant with outdoor seating on the water. The food and drinks were amazing. Really enjoyed the Mahi Pontchartrain, lobster dumplings, and brussel sprouts. Nice selection of drinks. Only issue was it took a while to get our drinks and food orders in. We were a large group and I think it slowed down the service. Our waiter was great and we loved the setting. Just overall a really relaxing dinner.
