I made a reservation through OpenTable for 7 PM on a Monday night, however, the reservation was not needed because the restaurant was VERY empty. I’ve personally enjoyed the quietness for a work event. Our waitresses were Brittany and Emily. They were both fantastic. Food was delicious. We had the tomahawk steak, wedge, salad, shrimp, cocktail, and lobster mac & cheese I would recommend everything… 10 out of 10.

We came to try their Tomahawk Tuesday and it was really good. For the salad, we both had the wedge, it was fantastic, the blue cheese was not overly strong but for me, there was a little too much dressing. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and so tender. For the sides, we opted for asparagus and lobster Mac and cheese for the additional upcharge. I also ordered a side of brussel sprouts which I was not fond of, quite crispy and dry. We decided on the chocolate lava cake to share and took the chocolate gooey butter cake home. So glad we did cause we definitely would not have been able to finish both. Overall a great dinner.

The vibe here is elevated and chic, with most patrons in the older range. The food overall was acceptable but not packed with flavor. I will say, however, that the butter that is paired with the bread is an absolute revelation. The menu does shift depending on the time of day, so that is something to keep in mind. They do additionally have an extensive wine collection, and the Vouvrey was positively refreshing. The staff is very friendly, and I enjoyed their help in getting recommendations. I also enjoyed the music selection, which seems to focus on smooth music from around the 70s.

Excellent place! Food was so delicious. All the seafood items were super fresh. Some of the best oysters in the city. The deviled eggs with caviar are to die for. If you’re not a seafood lover, they have a wonderful selection of chicken, lamb, and duck dishes. Don’t skip dessert!!!

Very nice Sunday brunch spot. Although their brunch menu is pretty limited, it is still a great place to try out. Burger was well cooked, mimosas were a sampler size, so had to double up on the order. Servers were extremely attentive.

Great food, impeccable service, fun atmosphere. Service is already great. They have a hilariously great tea selection as well. Dessert is a must have- the creme Brulee is divine as is the chocolate cake. Docking a point as the starters were a little weak... the octopus was a small dish, slightly overcooked. The Caesar salad has great flavor but lack variety, and the charcuterie board was incredibly basic. Drink menu is festive and tastey. Drinks are strong! Mains are far better.

The restaurant is nice and clean. The staff is knowledgeable, and they are perceptive to those with allergies. The food was enjoyable. I went with a group for a birthday lunch. Everyone found the food to be great. When it was time to pay, they wouldn't split the checks more than twice. This made it difficult to pay for our meals. I would return as a couple, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for more than a few people unless you are ordering the same meals.

I've been looking forward to going to Tony's for nearly a year as part of our real estate pac benefit. It was a beautiful private evening catered by Tony's. The service was absolutely impeccable. From the valet, to the folks with the welcome drink and passing the appetizers, and especially our table servers. 100 out of 10 for the thoughtfulness, service, and minimal number of seconds that would pass before water was filled, napkins were placed on laps, utensils replaced, cups removed, absolute perfection. I have no idea how they have servers trained to be so warm and welcoming and serving at the same time but they are doing an outstanding job. I did leave off one star because I loved the appetizers but some of the entree dishes were not amazing. The snapper was fine but not extremely flavorful even with the sauce. The main steak entree was extremely peppery but didn't have much other flavor. The butternut squash pasta was too sweet for my taste. I tasted my friend's branzino and it was good but again, nothing to write home about. On the other hand, the appetizers that were a big hit where the crab cakes, beef Wellington, and crab BLT among others. I would definitely come back but be more selective of the main entree foods.

Perfect! Tonys is a classic in houston. I dine at the bar and the service is excellent. The barkeep is a amazing making great cocktails and recommending the best wine for my meal! The filet mignon tonys style is a must and is better if your order the side of the truffle pasta. Dont forget the suffle!

This a lunch, food and service, review. While service here may generally be exceptional they did neglect to bring a menu for approximately ten minutes while dining in for lunch today. It also appeared they were pouring my spring water for another nearby table. The first course: gazpacho, simple preparation, loaded with freshly prepared seafood. It was light, crisp, and refreshing; however, I did find a fish scale in the soup. Also served with the soup course were parmesan crisps, and sesame crisps; whipped butter. The parm crisps were spicy but pleasantly so while the sesame crisps tasted good but seemed stale. The club sandwich, second course: dressed lightly with whole grain mustard and another condiment of some sort; perfectly toasted three layers of bread.The sandwich did not have mayo on it--which most people expect on a club sandwich--at least bring a side of mayonnaise with the plate. Also, since the other condiment on the sandwich is unusual and unfamiliar, while delicious, I suggest it should be listed on the menu with this food item. Accompanying the sandwich, half the house-made potato chips were undercooked and soggy--they were sent back. Note: Although I came professionally dressed, was courteous, friendly, and polite at every interaction, no apology expressed, or compensation offered, when I showed a dining room employee the fish scale from the soup. They had the proof of fish scale as they took away the bread plate it was on. Areas of improvement: I had no idea who my server was as no one identified themselves in any particular role. People did check on me periodically but not one person checked back shortly after receiving my courses. As far as I know no managers checked on me whatsover; neither did the Chef and I was there almost 2 hours. Amazing service and food! Ambiance is amazing. Carlos and his side kicks always came by with recommendations and phenomenal attentiveness. Highly recommended!! Ahi tuna and soft shell crab shown here as well as a great shot of the dinning space from our table. Sampled a few of the pasta dishes and split the 55 day aged ribeye which was exceptional!!

Such an amazing experience with top tier food and staff! Celebrated our 5th Anniversary here and they took great care of us! Our waiter brought out our dessert with a hand wrote message which was a very special touch. Hands down the best steak I've ever had! Will definitely be back!

Hands down, BEST STEAK we have ever had. Visiting from Denver (which has great steakhouses) we wanted to compare and we humbly give it up to Texas for having amazing steak; cuts like butter! Great flavors, prepared to perfection, and you feel the pride from the chef in the tasting experience. Truly the best! Drinks were yummy, and an extensive wine list. A memorable experience for me and my sister while visiting Houston! Lindsey was an incredibly attentive, genuine, and knowledgeable server. Highly recommend!

The food and drinks were stellar. One of the best steakhouses I’ve visited food wise. The mashed potatoes were heavy and thick. The steak had a perfect crust. The mushrooms were to die for. All drinks were beautifully made. The lobster bisque was less creamy than I’m used to, but had quite a few chunks of lobster. Service- reservation was for a birthday. No mention of the birthday was made by server or by hostess. We weren’t asked if we’d like dessert, the bill was brought to us right after dinner was cleared. We were disappointed in that respect. We thought service could have been better for that high of a price point; such as cleaning crumbs off table top between meals.

Guard and Grace was one of the top restaurants I have attended with the best service and amazing food! It was my one year anniversary with my significant other and our waiter Caesar gave us the best service. He was active and had a positive attitude. I have eaten in the top restaurants in Houston and by far I would say Guard and Grace had the best service. Don’t even get me started with the food. Every bite was amazing. I ordered the roasted salmon and I like my salmon a certain way and guard and grace accommodated that. The restaurant itself was luxurious and I would definitely recommend going for a drink there or even a nice lunch/dinner.

Went to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great time. Emily was amazing and super attentive, her recommendations knocked it out of the park! We really enjoyed the yellowtail appetizer, somehow it works. The sides are family style and can be a whole meal. The food truly was delicious and so was the service.

The food was excellent, there were no problems until the payment came. Our server split the bill when we didn’t ask to split it, I was charged $121.97 on my card and then $350.07, I asked my brother to talk to the managers about why there were 2 charges on my card, and the managers said that they would do an “investigation” but we never heard anything ever since. The service was great! But make sure they don’t take your money without explanation.

I went during lunch and had the pleasure of having Trevor as my server. It was an amazing experience, I recommend the Salmon dig as appetizer and the toffee dessert. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere is just as glamorous as expected. The valet is a little hidden, so make sure to pay attention if you choose to valet. Other than that, 5/5.

A popular fine dining restaurant with a nice vibe, lovely atmosphere and fantastic food. We have visited this restaurant numerous times in the past as a couple and also with some friends. I fully recommend their Garlic Seared Calamari and Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. They are delicious. Same goes with their steaks and lamb racks. Succulent juicy meat and tasty. Their sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Customer service was excellent. Staffs were attentive, friendly and efficient.

I am all about ambience and atmosphere. This place is truly met my expectations! I love trying cocktails, and my friend and I tried about 10 cocktails total, and all amazed us! We set at the bar for the night and ordered bunch of snacks. I would come back to try some of their steaks and sea bass. Great place to check out!

Buckle your seat belts, because this is one doozy of a 5 star review! First, the door was held by staff, the immediate flood of greetings was awesome, made us feel very welcome. We were seated earlier than our reservation time, which was kind of them. Second, the staff also placed napkins on our lap! Talk about being treated like royalty, truly I was gushing. Third, the wait staff was attentive, fast, and extremely knowledgeable in the food that was served; Edward was our waiter and he was absolutely lovely and provided all the answers to our questions without fail. Now the food. What can I say other than it was absolutely amazing. The calamari hot app was delightful, soft, chewy, and flavorful. The fresh focaccia bread? I would never expect it to be so soft and jam packed with rosemary and butter and just fantastic. I had the lamb entree, and it was 100% worth the price, I’ve never had lamb and this was perfect, a plate straight out of Gordon Ramsey’s book. I also had a cappuccino break, and while I like my coffee sweetened, the cappuccino was so good and didn’t need anything added to it! The dessert, which was the chocolate fondant, was superb, the rich chocolate was definitely not made with Hershey’s cocoa powder, which is why I enjoyed it. Lava cakes are lava cakes, but the consistency of the fondant was not like a normal cake but a nice thin chocolate pastry that cradled the lava sauce, and the ice cream? Fresh vanilla bean and perfectly paired. If you’re looking for a spice of life, change of plans, or willing to break open the wallet for an experience such as Masraff’s, do it! Worth every penny, worth every minute. I cannot wait to go back!

Do yourself a favor and save room for dessert! The creme brule is the creamiest I've ever had! And the apple pie was so flaky!

Came to Mastro's to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. Didn't know what to expect since it was our first time. From the beginning, Jonathan made our experience great with his exceptional service. He helped us out with drink selections and food options. My wife had the pork chops with mac n cheese, and I had the red snapper, blackened, with asparagus. Portions were a good size, and the food was delicious. My wife also had a lemon drop, and I had an old fashion. Overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend it as a place to try for any occasion.

I generally prefer local restaurants than chains. But I was blown away by how good the food was at this steakhouse chain. We went on a Saturday with no reservations and sat that the bar. Despite being busy we were immediately greeted by the bartender. Here is the food we had and our review of it: Scallops - 6/5 perhaps one of the best scallops we have had. How they get the scallops so brown on the surface and yet juicy on the inside, I don't know. King crab sushi - 4/5 pretty good, but not exceptional. Would have liked to taste more of the crab. Filet Mignon 6 oz and 9 oz - 6/5 Absolutely perfectly cooked steaks, with a nice rub/dry sauce on top which was to die for. One of the best steaks we have tasted recently. By this time we were so engrossed in the food that we forgot to take pictures of the entree and the sides😀 Half side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes- 5/5 Very tasty. Creamy, indicating lots of butter 😀 Half side of crab fried rice - 3/5 Was good, but perhaps not worth the price. This is the only one we would perhaps not get when we come back again. The bartenders despite being busy gave us prompt attention. The ambience makes for a moody evening and good people watching. Valet parking was convenient. We are converts and will definitely be back at Mastro's

This already feels like the weirdest review I've written so far. Mastros is one of our favorite places to eat for steak. We've also frequented the location in New York as well. However, this last visit was strange for us. For starters, we went for a birthday in which I had a custom cake ordered for the occasion. When I made the reservation, I selected the birthday occasion. The restaurant also called to confirm the day of the reservation. At no time was it mentioned that outside cakes were not allowed. We showed up with our cake, and they told us it could not be eaten in the restaurant. They were nice enough to store the cake during our meal, but still! I feel that this should have been told to us at the time of reservation or at least when they called to confirm we were still coming that night. I understand they don't want to serve your cake, but no one asked them to. We are perfectly fine with cutting and serving our own cake. Our waiter was more attentive to his other tables than us. We had to wait a long time to get things. We'd ask for simple things like a cocktail menu and still had to wait about 15 minutes to get it. Meanwhile, we can see him clearly tending to other things and at times just standing. Basically, he just wanted to take our order and be on his way. It's like he just kept forgetting about us. However, every bite of food was lovely. It was almost too good, but I still thought about the cake we wouldn't be able to cut. The cake we brought with us for no reason. They did provide the complimentary cake, which was absolutely wonderful, but only enough for us each to have a good spoon full. Giving it 4 stars because of the waiter and the fact that we couldn't eat our cake. The good food saved this experience, though we probably won't be back for a while.

Wonderful experience for Restaurants week. Great food! I had the French onion soup, salmon and mango sherbert. I'm extremely picky about how my fish is made, but I had ZERO issues with mine! I added the truffle butter and wild mushrooms and black truffle Gnocci (these items are up charges on the Restaurants week menu). The waiter was amazing (wish I remembered his name, hope he sees this and drops it for me lol) he knows his wines and got me a great red! 🤌🏽 My husband got the Tuna, T-bone steak I think (upcharge, but it is huge) with lobster mac and cheese and butter cake. For his drink, he had the sazerac. Great date night place. Also, there is a valet but I think you can park a little way and walk to the restaurant. The only very small draw back was sitting outside by the waterfall. It was beautiful but my friends were sweating lmao, the fans helped buy its way too hot in Texas at the moment. I will go back when it's cooler.
