Showed up shortly after opening last Friday and was happy to get a table since we did not have a reservation. Are server Merilee was attentive, personable and super friendly. My husband was so happy with his steak (he always wants the rarest the chef can do) our waitress went and got the chef Ben so he could tell him in person. Ordered the Calamari fries which someone on another review said was the best they ever had and I have to agree! They were tender and not overly battered like most places. The French Onion soup was delicious & savory. I can't remember what my meal description was because it was the fish special of the day, but it was Halibut on a rice pilaf with some kind of lemon aioli, topped with Dungeness crab. It was cooked perfect, nice and creamy and I enjoyed every bite. My husband got the Rib-eye and like I said he enjoyed his meal. I tried his and it just melted in my mouth. I can't wait to go back!

Best Calamari ever.. and I don’t just mean in Eureka, or Humboldt.. I mean ever. I’ve had calamari which I thought was the best in Spain but this beats it tenfold! At first bite I regretted ordering anything else because I wanted to enjoy every last calamari fry. The fish and chips I had was cod. Absolutely delicious. Definitely the best Eureka has to offer. The views.. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of the water. Just stunning on a sunny day. The decor was simply perfect. Such an incredible experience!!

Listen... if you don't go here, you and I are going to have a problem. The food is so good. The servers are so nice. The owner is a great guy. He chatted with us for a moment and he honestly seems genuine. I would 10/10 go back in a heartbeat. Please, don't even waste you're time looking elsewhere. Just come here. This restaurant is so good, I had to leave the review before I walked out the door.

This was my 1st time trying. The service I received was phenomenal, hands down some real down to earth and nice people here. The surf and turf was amazing and was cooked exactly the way I liked. When I was ready to leave my server asked me if I would like my food boxed up and I was expecting that I would be doing it, but she did it for me, and I was incredibly impressed. Next time in town I will be back and that's a for sure.

I’ll post this for two places: Brick & Fire and 2 Doors Down Reservation: I would recommend calling before your visit, just to make sure you got a table for you and your family/friends. The restaurant is not huge but cozy and nice for quality time. Reservation was easy and they are very responsive to phone calls. The website I hope they improve it in the future. Food: we are Vegetarian-Pescatarian so we do not no have meat experience. The food was fine, we enjoyed the variety of flavors we got, and I would say this is a mixed cuisine - Italian, Spanish or Mediterranean. I would describe it as Tuscan cuisine but this is only my interpretation from the food presentation. One dish we did not like was the Wild Mushroom Cobbler - was not really what we expected. Did not like it so much, juts personal taste. For drinks, they had nonalcoholic beverages so we got the house made ginger ale and black cherry soda. The ginger ale had a flat flavor in my opinion for a ginger ale. The restaurant was fully booked for the hour we wanted to visit so we were seated at their 2 Doors Down as they are an extension of each other. This was a fantastic find! We had such a lovely dinner here. The atmosphere was chill, love the dim lights. It was also not too loud that we couldn’t have a conversation. We got some appetizers (the Brie was great), and then did the wine pairings for our meal. Do the pairings! They’re great.

What a gem! We were in town checking out the Redwood Highway. Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were able to score a table at the bar, but it was probably the best seat in the house. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, great flavor and sauce! The polenta lasagna was next level! Crisp and flavorful. Steak was amazing and tender. The potatoes au gratin had great flavor, and the cheese on top was crisp and delicious. Crème brûlée was exceptional! Butterscotch rum flavor …… Overall, we enjoyed everything from the awesome staff and service to the great seating and food. Highly recommended.

The bacon wrapped pork loin was fantastic, my wife got the Mac n cheese that had a good mix between classic Mac n cheese and alfredo. We finished the night with blueberry & Lemon bread pudding. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Must-try: Piazza. Top rated Italian restaurant in Eureka. Overall great dining experience with very welcoming service in a lovely town. Started with Wild Mushroom Cobbler, we have Piazza and steak as the main dishes. They are both delicious and the Piazza taste especially amazing with simple components. For dessert my friend ordered ice cream. I tried black chocolate truffle with duck fat. It has a bit salt on it's top while the truffle itself is not rich of flavor of duck.

This weekend we visited Sea Grill for the first time. I was very impressed by the aroma in/outside the restaurant. The smell was very aromatic and we were very excite to try out their menu. The welcoming staff she was very friendly. The restaurant has different seating options for dining in. The bar, fine and standard dining, but we were not asked where we wanted to be seated. They also have a party/event area for reservation. The female restroom was clean and comfortable. There is no dress code. I would say formal casual to formal dressing, depending on your event. We were out on a date so we were formally dressed. The mocktail menu is limited, but you could ask them to make something for you. The complimentary bread and butter were very fresh and taste. We were planning on having two appetizers, two main course and one dessert. We ended up getting half of what we originally planed because our server was not attentive as much to us and had difficult time answering my questions about the menu. We order beer battered prawns and it came with salad and baked potato. The salad is crisp and the vegetables were so fresh and we got it with ranch salad dressing. The baked potato was average. The main course was very delicious and cooked properly. The prawns was fresh, large and seasoned well. The side sauté vegetables were salted and nicely cooked. We also ordered the crème brûlée. I think everyone should start their order with this dessert, that's how good it was! I honestly would not mind just coming here for the crème brûlée. It was made with perfection. We love the over all ambiance of the restaurant, I just wish we got better service.

I had dinner at the Sea Grill. The restaurant had a beautiful decoration, and the staff was nice. Restrooms were clean. Parking was a little bit difficult, at least over the weekend. My chowder was delicious, my tuna was just ok. I do recommend this place for sea food lovers.

The crab fettuccine and the macadamia crusted halibut (the special), house salad, chowder, polenta, dinner rolls and a glass of cabernet wine were all very good. The service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We did not need reservations at 8pm on a weeknight, dress was casual and families with children were there. The primary negative point is that my wine glass had two lipstick lip prints on the glass when it was served to me. But, the waitress was extremely apologetic and immediately replaced my glass of wine. No further offer of recompense was made or requested. The total cost was $111, plus tip for the two of us. We took leftovers, but the leftover container was flimsy recycled paper product and the sauces from our food soaked through fairly quickly, so not good when traveling and needing to store in a cooler, which we are. Parking was street parking and there was a homeless girl wrapped in a blanket huddled in the doorway of a business across the street from the restaurant, right beside where we parked, so that was a little sketchy. I'm giving them a 4, because overall, the experience was a good one with only a couple of minor improvements needed. I would eat here again and recommend it to family and friends.

5 stars experience: Great environment and atmosphere!!! Exceptional service!!! All of staff is super friendly and nice!!! Very attentive to any customers’ needs!!! Nice and fast service to serve you bread and appetizers (e.g., soup or salad)! Very reasonable wait time to be served with freshly cooked delicious food!!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!! Delicious breakfast and friendly, fast service. I highly recommend the skillet breakfasts. They are perfectly cooked and have wonderful flavor. I also recommend Avery as a waitress. She was super nice and friendly. A true asset to this restaurant.

Adel’s has become our favorite place stop anytime we in Eureka CA. Customer service is and has always been great, the servers took the time to help us, were attentive and polite making sure everything is perfect. Burgers and chili cheese fries are extremely delicious, nothing like we have at home. The food is so good you get to forget everything else, lol. Delicious and tasty on every bite of the burger and fries, the flavor’s are just perfect. Can’t wait to go back. The food and service have meet our expectations. This place is a must.

GROSS!!!!! What is pictured here is just a part of the rotten avocado that they put on my mothers burger… She ordered onion rings with her burger which cost an extra 9 dollars which I thought was ridiculous… They brought her new avocado and we canceled the burger. What astonished me is they still had the audacity to charge her for the onion rings and avocado…. This avocado was literally rotten!! They handled this terribly and the bill was $100 for 3 meals on top of it!! Never going back!! I would’ve had a better picture but she took it back too soon!

Been here twice now and both exceeded expectations. The hot corned beef sandwich was simple but excellent, and we loved the chicken citrus salad. Very generous portions. Also very very good vegetable soup and super decent French dip. The chocolate cake and apple pie were excellent. We’re going back for more on our way out of town. Also very friendly service (both were phone orders) and ready quickly.

This is one of the restaurants in the small chain. There used to be one in Santa Rosa but closed down. This location was really good. Service was great and friendly. Menu was pretty good and had some new items to try. The Grilled cheese Benedict was very interesting. When in the area, this is a great choice to stop by for lunch. Only thing we didn't enjoy wasthe mimosas.

The two stars is for the waitress because she was great. I got a cosmopolitan and my daughter got a margarita, they were both terrible. We ordered coconut shrimp and halibut cakes. The cakes tasted very eggy with a sponge like texture. The shrimp had little to no coconut on them, no flavor, and no crunch.the clam chowder was like watery potato soup with very chewy bits of clam. My daughter and I were extremely disappointed.

This is a quaint place to eat...hence the name Cafe Waterfront. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us and let us know it would be a 15 minute wait. She took our name and cell number. We walked around the waterfront and took in the fresh sea breeze. We went back into restaurant because I thought I had given the hostess the house number. Thankful I did not and she was ready to sit us. The staff was very attentative and the food was good. We had a bowl of the clam chowder which was savory and thick - the bottom of the spoon still had a coat after each spoon -feeding myself. The oysters were large, plump and juicy , served with home made cocktail sauce and horseradish (which the gentlman said was as stong as Wasabi) . The cocktail sauce was awesome. We also had the Combo Plate - a deep fried Charcuterie board like platter of Clam strips, Prawns, Oysters and Scallops with fries , soup or salad. This was perfectly fried and the seafood inside the batter was still hot and moist. Perfect spot for food, a walk and scenery

We were driving through and decided to stop for an early dinner, we loved it! No wait time since we arrived around 5pm. We were seated right away and our food got to us pretty quickly! My husband got the chicken parmesan linguine special and I got the chicken Caesar salad. We also got bread and clam chowder to warm up since it was pretty chilly out today! Great service and food, and such a cute location. We can’t wait to come back to Eureka and explore some more!

Best food for a brunch in Old Town. Sunday has nice subdued jazz. I like the specials board. Lots of tasty variety. If it's not too crowded, the atmosphere is good, hence the 3 on atmosphere. Recently visited the Green Lilly around the corner but was non plussed when compared to Waterfront.

Absolutely loved it here. Great tasting oysters paired with an amazing wine selection. I recommend the hot sauce. I will never eat oysters the same again. Ended up staying a while longer to have another glass of wine with cheese and I did not regret it .

I decided to drop into Humboldt Bay Provisions, Ammathee and Lucy happened to be in and guided me to some delicious Pacific oysters. Briney, sweet, loaded with Humboldt hot sauce, based on their recommendation for a dude who loves spicy food. And boy they were right. Every slurp was more delicious than the last. And the cherry on top was delightful conversation with a side of local craft beers. These two deserve a raise! Great bar service, oysters, and beer!

Always a good spot to bring the kids! My husband and I enjoy having a drink and the kids enjoy the coloring menu. The kids menu is a great deal and we usually get out with drinks and 4 meals at around 100 is really cheep for that much with alcoholic beverages and fancy lemonade for the kiddos. Sometimes they are short staffed but they always pull it through.

We come from crescent city for sports. Literally walked out today after waiting 20 min for our server to even acknowledge us. Then after we did order our drinks we sat for 45 min and nothing. Finally we walked out. We have given this place chance after chance and never fails. Last time We sat for an hour with no drinks then half our food was missing as well as horrible service. Don’t go there if you are hungry or want good service cause this place would be rated a zero if I could!

This is a review for the Applebee's grill at Eureka, CA. I went to dinner there with my wife on a Saturday busy night. The restaurant was clean, and there were plenty of parking available. We ordered two steaks (top sirloin, and a ribeye). The steaks were good. The problem was that ordered the ribeye medium well, and it came red. And we ordered the normal top sirloin, and it came the shrimp parmesan sirloin. They fixed ribeye, and it came cooked well. For desert we ordered the lava cake, it was delicious. In general, I would recommend this Applebee's, and give 4 starts. I believe if come in a less busy day it will be a great experience.
