I love coming to MJ’s with my friends. It’s got a very cozy atmosphere and it’s family ran. We always get the sizzling rice soup. We also got crab rangoons, spicy salmon roll, and tiger roll. The tea is free as well. It’s definitely one of our favorite comfort food places.

HORRIBLE sushi!!!!! Prices on the menu are not accurate, you will be charged more than what the menu states. Sushi looked pale and didn't taste like fish. Genuinely concerned about food poisoning. We didn't even finish our meals we just left.

I would gave given them zero stars if I could have. Very super rude person taking my order. Snatched the money out of my hand. I just left without my order because I was afraid they were going to spit in my food or poison or something! You can keep the money! I will never ever, ever, ever go back to that place!!!!!!!

Cubby and Spider roll pictured, it was some Flavorful and Fresh tasting Sushi. Will definitely be returning and would recommend you give it a try. My wife had the Philly and California Rolls, she was happy! Crab raggoons are delicious as well.

One of the treasures of The Village of East Davenport. If you like pork belly I'd recommend the pork belly flat bread. The salads and sandwiches are also delicious. You also get a great vibe inside or outside. Our servers Adam and Steven we awesome and took great care of us. We've not tried the brunch yet but it should be on our rotation soon.

Good place to stop and eat. Service was a little slow and they “didn’t have mustard” for dipping the Reuben. Sitting on the porch was very comfortable. They forgot my salad dressing, but that was easily corrected. Unfortunately, a large group of loud and obnoxious people showed up and “took over” the patio. Not the fault of the place, but kind of ruined the dinner vibe. If in the area, I’d eat here again as the menu was interesting and the food was delicious.

Nice little spot with great vibes. We decided to come here when it caught our eye after passing it heading out of town to our hotel. We thought about sitting inside, but decided against it because of the loud music inside. Thankfully the outside area was really nice with beautiful iron work and other small details. They had a N/A beer option for me which was nice because I could have something other than water with everyone else. And, the others seemed happy with their beer list. The food was delicious. We had the pretzel and stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. The huge pretzel is a visual sight though a bit difficult to easily share. If I lived here, I would order those mushrooms every time I came in - sooo good. While I originally ordered the half and half Greek salad with the cheesy pesto sandwich, they were out of pesto. So I got the turkey, brie, and cranberry. Happy it happened that way because the pretzel bun was amazing and a great combination all together. Given the need to change my order, they were kind enough to even give me a full sandwich. While our server maybe wasn't the most experienced and had to manage too many tables for one person, she was nice, easy going.

Checked in for a date around 6 on a Sunday (7/9/23), place was busy out on the patio. Inside wasn't so crammed. Food was very good, we had a salad that didn't get served right away but it wasn't even a big deal, we just asked about it and they apologized and immediately had one brought out. Our waitress was very polite and sociable and felt awful about our salad being missed but we reassured her it was no big deal at all and that everything was fantastic. Staff was efficiently managing a good crowd of people with little staff and they did a great job with what they had to work with. Not much room for any complaints. Will definitely be back again.

Sat on the patio on a beautiful day. The food was delicious. I had the Mexican street corn soup and half of the spicy pastrami sandwich. It was very savory. The service was prompt and courteous. Will definitely come back to visit this hidden gem in the Village!

This was the worst experience today. I ordered three tacos and the tamale combo. I couldn't even eat my tacos because they fell completely apart the minute I picked them up. They were stuck to the paper. So I did eat paper. Yum. My cup of pop was 2/3 full. She never came back one time to check on me in the 45 minutes I was there. Horrible food and service. Then I ask to speak to a manager and they act like they have no clue what I was saying then say "oh...she not here". I show them how my food fell apart how the paper was stuck to my food and she says "oh sorry". That'll be $10.50. I should have just walked out. But I paid. I will never in my life go there again that was a horrible experience.

5/5 - We had one order of steak tacos (soft shell) and steak burrito. All the food was very warm, great taste, and only took a few minutes to get to our table. The chips and salsa are amazing, but not for the feint of heart (it's a bit on the spicy side). Food brought out with red sauce (about as spicy as salsa) and green sauce (pretty mild, but amazing flavor). I myself loved the salsa and red sauce, but my other half was barely reaching for the green sauce :D

Ordered Tacos to go on a Tuesday. Great priced tacos at just 99 cents! I thought they would be small so I ordered a few extra but they didn't skimp on the portions. This was a great value for great food. Been to La Finca many times. One of my favorites for an authentic Mexican meal. Will always keep coming back here! Highly recommend!

We were staying in an AirBnB close by and we needed some food and found this place. Wow! Really great food. The menu is large and the guy there said people order everything on it. We drove up and ordered and they had us park our car and they brought it out to us when all was finished. Really hot (made fresh) and tasty food!

It was a weird experience. Its part restaurant and part liquor store and part convenience store. There were people actually using the drive through for non food items. Thats what made the drive through for food kind of odd because you will hold up the line. Anyhow, what I didn’t like was the prices are not shown on the me menu. There are literally no prices. So you pay whatever the woman decides. It was late and we were visiting and very hungry so we did it anyway.

Had a father's day weekend brunch here with a group of people. Very nice atmosphere, clean dining area. Service was a little slow but I'd imagine thats more of a understaffed location issue and less of a bad employee issue. The gentleman that helped serve us seemed friendly and polite enough! Hands down the best breakfast burrito I've ever had in my life so far. Good cold brew as well. Good experience and would definitely come back again for a light breakfast 👍

City Loafers came on a recent Google search for "sandwich" and "Davenport". I've still been looking for more good local sandwich shops, so this seemed a good place to try, with the added benefit of getting into downtown Davenport on a Friday evening. I didn't realize it from the internet or even from the storefront, but this place is inside a hotel - The Current Iowa. They have a nice looking lobby/dining space, too! Black and white polished marble/tile lines the entire floor. There are interesting decorative features throughout, including some suspended cocoon-type glass sculpture and various pictures/paintings in the space that add character to what would otherwise be a fairly sterile hotel lounge. Lighting is supplied by a combination of recessed fixtures in the ceiling, suspended chandeliers stylized to look like they have inverted electric tea lights, bulbs in a large drop ceiling featured above the bar, and ample natural light from the large windows along the entire space. It all comes together to look modern, but feels very warm. For food, I ordered a sandwich called the Bluff - a Portabella mushroom sandwich with swiss cheese, spinach, and aioli of some sort on ciabatta. I'm not usually one for a clearly vegetarian sandwich, but this was fantastic! It had a earthy taste that was well complimented by the richness of the cheese and aioli. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I'd had in a while! The house chips that came with the sandwich were a perfect accompaniment - crisp, not too salty, and also thin enough to provide texture but not tear up the mouth. Truly fantastic. The gentleman serving at the bar was engaging and friendly during my entire meal. We chatted a little about work, the drink specials, and the rotating menu at City Loafers. Between the menu rotating and the fantastic service, I look forward to coming back to try other parts of the menu. I'm glad I called off my week here. The space is nice, the food was great, and the service was excellent. Thanks, City Loafers!

Quiet, beautiful, airy location was a perfect spot for a late breakfast this morning. My ham and swiss omelette was fantastic, as was the oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries that I was able to substitute in for hash browns and toast. Had a great chat with the server and got some tips on what to check out as I walk around town during my visit. Would definitely stop in here again during lunch or dinner to try something on their regular menu.

My sweet heart and I split our plate.They charge a $2 split plate fee which was odd, but the food was great. We are the Fowl Play sandwich. It tasted great, and is a good size.

Horrible service! Couldn't find anybody to even seat us at a table. Then the host just handed some menus to us while we were standing in the middle of the restaurant. We turned around and walked out. Will not be back!

We asked several people where to eat as we were in town for a conference. This place was highly recommended. It was within walking distance to our hotel. It has a beautiful interior with modern touches. The food was delicious. We had the crab appetizer which was very good. My salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband got a burger with the most delectable fries. Large portions and very good service.

I want a cocktail glass of the Madeira sauce with mushroom demi glaze that is on the pork chop. Half Nelson never disappoints. The staff is always friendly. The themed drinks are always delicious.

The ambience was nice and cozy. However on entering the airport we had to wait for 15 minutes at the door before walking in to find someone and ask for us to be seated when the restaurant was almost empty. We ordered a couple of cocktails and a pecan chicken and Korean BBQ cauliflower. It was a dry piece of chicken with a thick layer of breading on a bed of decently cooked cheddar grits, and a side of steamed brocollini. The steamed brocollini was my boyfriend's only favorite part of the dish, that was sad. My steamed cauliflower was bland, no salt or flavor whatsoever on a bed of totally lackluster white bean puree. It was a tasteless disaster in my opinion. The side of sweet corn was dry too. Having read the reviews about this place on internet and many articles quoting it the top restaurant in Davenport, I had high hopes for this place. I drove almost an hour and a half to try it out and was utterly disappointed. I have had bad food before, but this felt like they didn't even make an effort to try and make it a decently edible plate. With the extremely limited menu they have, I would expect high quality on those limited dishes. I personally wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Convenient location, nice spacious seating area, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, nice assortment of different drinks, and good food. Everything was on the higher end for pricing but never the less we did enjoy all our meals. The tiki drink we had was delicious. Our friend had the cauliflower and was happy to have a vegetarian option but said she would have liked it to be more seasoned/flavorful. I had the steak and my wife had the fish and we were both pleased. The only thing I would prefer is a little more food/sides to go along with the entrees. Don’t get me wrong the sides were very good, I just would like more of it. I wouldn’t say it’s the best steak I’ve had around here but it is definitely up in the top 3.

Three stars on a scale of 1 to 5 is average, not bad. Decent beer selection, but when I visited, the cooler for half the taps was malfunctioning, so the selection was significantly reduced. I had the french dip. Unfortunately, the bread they use is unable to support the meat, making it pretty messy. Their homemade chips are decent, but I have had far better... might be better without the garlic and parmesan. Their is a VERY smelly sewer grate in the street outside the business. I am not sure how customers are able to sit outside with that smell, but maybe it doesn't reach them.

The food was FANTASTIC. Perfect place to be on a warm summer day, especially when they have the garage doors open. Great selection of food and drinks. Service was great. Reasonably priced. Big portions! You HAVE to get the bread pudding. We got a full slice, but could barely finish it. Will definitely be back!

Came for dinner last night. Served by the owner’s daughter. She recommended the Reuben, which was delicious. I got a side salad ($2 upcharge) which seemed a little much for iceberg and shredded carrots that looked like it came from a bag-o-salad, BUT their homemade creamy garlic dressing made up for it. I also got onion rings ($1 upcharge?) instead of fries, but they LOADED the plate with the amount and I definitely got to take some home with me. They had $2 off mugs on Tuesday special so my date and I got an IPA. They have a better selection of IPA choices than most bars. The sandwich was fantastic, onion rings perfectly crisp and delightful. Service 10/10. The bill was right around $45 for 2 people with meals and drinks. Will return.

I got the RED WINE BURGER Grilled and steamed with sweet red wine. Topped with bacon, grilled onions & Swiss cheese. So, I asked the waitress what kind of wine was used to cook my burger. She said "Merlot" uh? What? No wine, sweet or dry, was tasted, but what was dry the the burger. Nothing tasted fresh. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
