Thank you for seating at a premiere spot for a walk in Sunday lunch. The young Asian Australian at the service desk was incredibly polite and professional. My fiancee and I were served by a young caucasian Australian lady who made us feel at home. Simple things I enjoyed. Being welcomed. The mood explained and culinary journey plus the suggestions. Drinks were great. Watching the chefs weave culinary magic was spectacular. Food was faultless. What a great experience. Thank you to all of the staff. Highly recommended.

Came in with high expectations but was quite hit or miss. The Delmonico Steak was great (but undersalted) but that should be a given due to the price. Potatoes & the beef tartare were great - nice textures and flavour. However the Octopus was horrid, texture like hard rubber and tasted extremely fishy - suggesting that it wasn’t at all fresh. Service was mediocre, staff were mostly attentive but on seperate occasions was almost impossible to get any service. One attempt to flag down a waiter took 5mins (hand raised high and waving around), which is totally unacceptable given the price of the restaurant and the sheer amount of staff roaming around.

The servers were very respectful and helpful. Great recommendations. Food is amazing. Quite a different taste and feel compared to other places. Not bad, not the best. However we still enjoyed it. Highly recommend the lamb dish. Amazing and crab cakes.

Restaurant is well decorated, excellent location by the water. Food is good but not exceptional to match the high price point. Raw fish plate was ok, grilled octopus was good. Steak was cooked perfectly. Long wait between meals, however. Cocktails were very disappointing, tasted like straight up watered down lychee from the can. The other cocktail was very lack lustre tasting like the cheap jelly drinks from the Asian grocer.. was asked many times if the dinner was for an occasion but no complimentary dessert for the occasion was provided or offered , as many other places do. Wouldn’t come back & hesitant to recommend to others

Good food and atmosphere! We got the Feed Me #1 set at $88pp and the food was nice! I especially liked the Kingfish sashimi and the duck. The rest was decent, but will probably order by myself next time as portions of each dish was very small. We went on a Friday night and it was packed, so definitely make a booking if you don’t want to be disappointed. Also keep in mind that the tables are very close from each other, and it’s quite of a noisy place. But the ambiance was still pretty nice!

The service was excellent, the food was a decent size but very pricey, and most of the food was spicy 🌶️, not the regular spicy you expect. If you like strong spicy food this will be the place. I ordered a plate, not even saying it contained 🌶️, but when it arrived, I could tell it would be a hot dish. I tried one bite. I needed to drink two glasses of water to cool down my lips… Luckily, there is a friendly staff, and he is so kind to exchange another dish for me at no extra cost. I will suggest putting some icons or notes to mention the hotness of the food if they are out of normal standard hot.

It was an extremely busy evening and not an empty table. Great selection and choice. Waiting staff were initially attentive, but unfortunately, this didn't last, and we often had to ask for more drinks. Normally, that would be fine with me when a place is busy however out server seemed to spend their time chatting to colleagues. Only a group of 5 and struggled to hear anyone across the table. Still a very nice experience, I liked the decor and fun atmosphere. The food was fantastic, and I definitely enjoyed 😉

Super hyped restaurant on TV but in reality I felt underwhelmed. Price is too much for Asian street food. I guess you pay more on table service, service was great tho. They have too much staff than customers. I left hungry after paying almost $300 for a two person meal.

I had so much fun last night on my birthday at the soda factory. I had no idea that they placed me right in front of Audrey Hepburn picture. That really made my night. She's my inspirational celeb. And to top it off, I didn't know there was a music bingo night that made things even more fun for me and my friends!!! We had a blast screaming out the lyrics to the music. And the DJ/Host was amazing. Definitely the place I'd celebrate again. If I could, I would give twenty stars. It made my night, the best birthday night ever! Thank you to soda factory. The food and drinks were amazing too.

I hosted an event at The Soda Factory to feed 150+ people and we absolutely loved the vibes, the venue and the food! The staff were super friendly and accommodating and I would love to go back again. Definitely treat yourself to a bucket of fried chicken on your visit.

Loved the place. Food was good. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. We loved the steak the jambo prawns,Macha tart,the duck and the fish. They also gave us all halal options. Most of their produces are halal. And the stuff also helped me to make sure the sauces were halal also for example they did not use alchohol.Thanks guys for making our day special. The prawn and the matcha tart is a must try. The duck and the fish were very good also, and the steak was awesome.However wasn't a big fan of the housemade cheese with baby beets and the mushroom tartar was alright. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Honestly wasn’t great. Nothing memorable or stood out and service and ambience was poor We had the Valentine’s Day menu. Entree scallop with bacon seemed like it was missing something, like a garnish. I actually liked the the confit salmon trout the most. The main which was a slither of steak was missing the crème fraiche, didn’t realise until after so couldn’t ask for it. Maybe it was in there but we didn’t notice? Dessert felt lacking as well, felt like something I could pull together at home (some meringues, sorbet and berries chucked on a plate) Service was not great. Took them about 25 mins to bring out a plate with 4 pre-made chocolate things on it (petite four). I had to ask when it was coming for them to bring it out. Not only that, was never offered any ground pepper at the table but I did note some other tables did. Ambience wise they only realised the fluorescent lighting was impacting the ambience and decided to change it..at like 8pm. Felt much nicer but was too late. Not too mention that the restaurant is in the middle of a hotel lobby so people were chucking or dropping their stuff from high up and hitting the restaurant (someone’s pill/drug fell from a higher level and nearly landed on our table). Probably won’t be back, sorry.

Absolutely impressed by the taste and presentation of the food at a reasonable price! I really admire the creativity of the chef and how he create this perfectly balanced French and Asian fusion cuisine. We will be back in a month time!

After reading all the reviews I must admit my expectations were high. We were welcomed by friendly staff at front of house, they staff had remembered that we had a birthday celebration and promptly wished the birthday guest a happy birthday. We were shown to our comfortable seats and intimate table. Overall the staff were all really great, service is prompt and attentive without being overbearing. However I have some regrets about the food, the steak is good but at 220 a pop I was expecting a lot more quality. The lamb was extremely fatty and we found it a little hard to eat. They did provide a little ice cream courtesy for the birthday which was nice.

I visited Fred’s for dinner on Friday night and wow!!! Is all I can say. From the moment you enter this restaurant, you know you’re in for a treat. I loved the atmosphere, the rustic feel, the service and the food. It’s 100 percent farm to table, everything was so fresh and delicious. The 1kg steak was a big hit and the cocktails were fantastic. Couldn’t fault this place at all, service was also amazing and I can’t wait to return

Exceptional. Walking into Fred’s feels like stepping into a warm, rustic home in the French countryside. Staff are gifted in their skills and attentive with their time; and the food is divine. The culinary team prepared the most beautiful vegan dishes for me, off-menu which highlighted fresh, seasonal produce and were balanced for both taste and texture, to an art form. Every detail of service, through to food preparation and decor feels like it’s been crafted with deep purpose. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Fred’s.

We had the pleasure of having our wedding at Kittyhawk and could not recommend it more highly to anyone thinking about doing the same. Jason and the team made our day everything we could have ever asked for and more. We had the ceremony upstairs in the Officer's Mess and the reception downstairs in KH. The Officer's Mess was set up so beautifully with candles and seated each and everyone of our 90 guests. Every one commented on how good the food was with the lamb a particular favourite. The flexibility of the staff to sort out last minute dietary requirements was an amazing touch. Finally, the drinks continued to be on point all night with the old fashion a must have. Once again thank you to everyone involved in making the day so special and to Jason for always being attentive to any questions we had leading up to the big day. Do yourself a favour and get along to Kittyhawk, you'll fall in love with it just like we did.

We booked KittyHawk for our EOFY company party. We had roughly around 90 attendees. Planning stage - I would say we were a bit difficult in terms of last minute changes! But communication on both sides could have been better! Food quantity wasn't enough for the number of people. Since it's a banquet style - not everyone got to eat the right portions of each dish. Here are some of the dishes what I remember having: Bread with the butter - Butter was great! Scallops - Just ok Cauliflower with kale - the kale tasted burnt. Lamb - it was so tender! Delicious! Dessert ice cream - Delicious! Service on the day was absolutely amazing! Special mention to Mary & Sarah who were the organisers - they took care of us and coordinated with me perfectly and they made sure we were all happy and within the budget. They accommodated the seating adjustments without any issues and communicated well with me on the day. The servers/bartenders/waiters/waitresses everyone was your hype person! They were all amazing, friendly, fast with the service! We then moved to the Officer's Mess which was really nice! Beautiful location. Everywhere was picturesque.

Actually enjoy the atmosphere here. Live jazz band was honestly the reason we came for. The service was good however there was one manager lady was quite aggressive from nowhere when we tried to reach out for the dessert. And they forgot to put the order in. King fish was really good must have to get that again next time. Steak was decent. Overall, still a good night and very enjoyed the vibe here.

I will come for the Lobster next time. I love the winding stairwell filled with mysterious bottles. The smoky dark vibe of the underground cabin, different style of seating available and the jazz music playing in the background makes for a relaxing evening.

The food is absolutely amazing! The waiters and waitresses made me feel so welcoming as it was my birthday dinner woth my partner. Definitely recommend booking for seats near the band as it creates such an amazing vibe. Would eat there again!

Roast chicken, roast chicken, roast chicken. Been a couple of times and that roast chicken just does not disappoint. Duck parfait amazing. Steaks are average IMO. Mushroom with pepper sauce is also super tasty. Puff pastry desert with cream is to die for. Impeccable service. Super cool vibe and extremely awesome fit our. Can’t complain at all.

We were super excited to try Hubert after all the hype and great reviews. We even booked a month in advance! But we were let down by the food. The duck parfait wasn't really to our liking - it was very rich. I can understand the appeal but it wasn't for us.The steak tartare was again quite rich and quite salty as well. This set the tone for the rest of the meal which continued to be overpoweringly salty. The chicken was beautifully tender but the flavours lacked the complexity and tastiness I would expect for a $95 plate of food. Overall, the food wasn't worth the high price tag. The staff were super nice though and we got free macarons as it was our anniversary! I also appreciated that they asked for any dietary requirements after we ordered. The ambiance was great too but the lighting was a little too dim for us. Each to their own, but we would probably never visit again.
