The restaurant is the ideal venue to have a nice meal before an opera. It's located down the stairs from the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion. We, a group of four, ate there on opening night for Don Giovanni. While we had an hour to eat before showtime, the staff expedited our order and we were able to eat without feeling rushed. While we ddnt have dessert we could've had that too if we had wanted to. My hubby and I are vegetarian, so we had the tasty pasta with vegetables dish (can't remember the name). The portions were very generous, so we only ate half. Next time we'll split the dish and add a salad. The vegetables and pasta were cooked perfectly al dente. Our friends had the short braised ribs, and they enjoyed it as well. We shared the Brussel sprouts appetizer which was also well seasoned and balanced with cheese crumbles. Unfortunately, we thought we wouldn't have enough time to eat so we didn't take pictures of the food.

Kendall's Brasserie is located on the street level of the Music Center on Grand Ave. We had about an hour before we needed to find out seats at the Ahmason. This restaurant was very conveniently located. We had drinks and appetizers. My aperol spritz was good. His Maestro Palmer was delicious and notable - wow! We also had the roasted mushrooms and baguette. The mushrooms were so meaty and went well with the herb butter sauce.

For the price and location, the food was mediocre. Over priced and limited menu. Very loud inside. Our server was attentive, but my steak was way undercooked, bland and I had to ask for a steak knife. Caesar salad dressing was bland. French onion soup was sweet. Husband had the Gumbo which he said was not seasoned well and Potato leek soup which was bland. We had to ask for salt & pepper. Location was convenient to theater, but not worth the price.

WOW SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Most signs that claim to be world famous or the best are usually false. But this place LEGIT tasted like the best taquitos I have ever had!! We came at 10:30am on a Saturday and surprisingly there was no line! Just ordered 2 taquitos (now I want to go back for more) with the avocado sauce and MMMMM!!! The avocado sauce wasn’t creamy like I expected but it was unique and extra delicious (not too spicy but tangy like another Yelper said)!! The taquito itself was perfection. The right amount of crispy, heat (temperature-wise), and packed with delicious beef. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it because I gobbled it down (and the sauce is very messy leaving sticky fingers unable to touch a phone). Definitely recommend coming here!!!

This is a landmark of Olvera Street. You can find it open even when the tiny shops are closed. It stays open late and it’s a great little spot to get traditional Mexican food. It’s even worth it to go here from the Union Station to get some food and walk back to the Union Station. Their chips and salsa is really good. Sometimes there is mariachis playing music snd singing along Olvera Street. If you are in the area make sure you visit this iconic restaurant.

The food was very tasty. Tried the birria pasta and the corn one both very tasty but the corn one definitely took the W. Super party in my mouth is the best way to explain it. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Really cool place ! They told us that this building was former Bank of Italy. You will be surprised to find a big vault door in front of the restroom. The interior is extremely gorgeous. The food was like creative pieces!! They had just opened, so we were lucky enough to get a reservation for Christmas. Thank you for wonderful experience.

One of our favorite restaurants, especially in the Downtown Los Angeles area. Food is always so yummy. Even if you have tried hummus a million times, this place makes it just a little bit better. Our kids love the lamb and always gobble up the pita. Some of our other favorites are the grilled prawns and oyster mushroom kebabs. Cocktails are just lovely too. Service is wonderful and decor still looks good after all these years. If possible don’t sit by the windows when the sun is going down or you’re gonna get blinded, and the flies will be hovering over your table. Overall expect a really amazing dinner.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in LA. The setting is beautiful, the crowd is always cool, the service is consistent and good. The food is what we keep coming back for. Everything is so thoughtful, from the fresh baked breads to the sauces made specifically for each dish. You MUST order the harissa prawns. They are game changers!!!!

Walked in late on a Tuesday night & had bar seating. Was helped by Sarah all night who was extremely friendly & was advising us on how to order the right combination of plates for the appetite we had. Everything was fresh, high quality, & perfectly seasoned. Enjoyed every bite of food & walked out with a good kind of full (not a 'having overeaten' kind of full). Ambiance & atmosphere was airy & charming. Great spot for date night or group meal.

This used to be my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE restaurant in LA for many years since opening in 2018, and have been at least a dozen times, but this last experience was just okay. Food wise, first 5-6 plates that came out still hit home, but lamb flatbread and grilled dorade didn't hit the same. It's possible that our palettes were just overwhelmed by the first few dishes and our server seemed to be having a off night. Music was incredibly loud, which made everyone talk even louder, so it was hard to make conversations at the table even with an intimate party. Not sure if I'll be back for a while, but Bavel will always have a special place in my heart and I'll always speak passionately about this spot because of the owner/Exec chef/pastry chef, the consistency of the food/beverage quality, service and training from a hospitality perspective. 5 stars for basically everything and 2 stars for ambiance due to the music/noise volumes. I will always have so much respect and love for Bavel!

The atmosphere—immaculate. And the servers—beautiful and prompt. The food—DIVINE. We came as a group of 6 so this was ordered family style. For apps we got the baba ganoush and hummus duck ’nduja. We got the marinated olives, but I recommend opting out, it’s nothing special. If you’re ordering the dips, get more bread for the table as they serve only 2. The oyster mushroom kebabs are AHMAZING order them. Then the lamb flatbread came which was not as impressive compared to the whole lumina lamb rack which was tasty. I will say this once, and once only— order the malawach!! This bread is unlike any bread I have ever tasted. It was amazing dipping it in the sauces but just as amazing by itself. Finally the wagyu oxtail tagine which is approved by the Caribbean gyals at the table. Mark my words this will be your favorite spot in LA, it most definitely is mine and I can’t wait to come back.

Fun lemonade-based drinks. The staff are attentive and efficient. If you're unsure of an order, you can ask to sample a few of the lemonade flavors. You can mix some of the flavors. I got the lavender elderflower lemonade mixed with some plain green tea to cut the sweetness.

Room temperature food just makes it feel like the food was sitting around for awhile. The carrot and ginger lemonade was delicious. Serving sizes for the food and drinks were good.

Light and delicious meals. My meal came out to $21-24(?) which was two sides, a protein and rice. I got the Mexican street corn and mash potatoes (very tasty) with the grilled chicken (tender but a bit bland) with the spicy piri sauce. The sauce brought everything together. I don’t remember the exact price as I paid with cash. I got their classic lemonade and it was very good. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Went in for lunch and had to wait over 30mins for my food. Ordered the sopes with rice and beans. Although the chicken had good flavor my tortilla was super hard I couldn’t cut into it. The beans looked dryer than my skin and had no flavor. Agua de piña was tasty but too pricey for such a small amount. Service was ok but they don’t bring out your food. You must go get it yourself. Overall, not worth it. 4/10

The Panorama Cafe is located at the 9th floor at the Stanley Mosk courthouse they served good meals at courthouse but a great view of Downtown L.A.. The food is really good lots of people go there for lunch and a view of Downtown.

I came there for lunch one day while on recess from Jury Duty. It's one of the closer place's that are in the area. They do have a pretty big menu like a restaurant and food that's already there made like all cafeteria's, so you don't have to wait for your order to be made. I got a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was the thinnest slice of meat possible not worth the 12-13 dollar's it was. And they don't put ketchup on it in the kitchen so you have to get ketchup packets and do it yourself. Pretty good view from up there although and the dinning room is fairly big. And you get a nice breeze which is good after being in a Courtroom for hour's.

The best part of Panorama Cafe is the views. You can see dodger stadium, the new sixth street bridge, and the skyline of downtown. Go during off hours—not right at noon to avoid long lines. Another plus is that you can order ahead of time and pick up. Note when you do order ahead that you can go to the kitchen window behind the cashier area and you don’t need to wait in the (often long) cafeteria area line. I’ve tried the teriyaki chicken plate which was surprisingly good, the burgers are decent but tend to get soggy under the hot lamp if you order ahead. I just had the breakfast quesadilla and it was delicious. I also noticed pre made breakfast burritos under a lamp ready to grab and go. From my experiences the staff there have always been very polite and efficient. If you’re at the civic center, this is the best cafeteria in comparison to KHOA and the cathedral.
