We had the beef salad which was delicious but a little spicy. The ginger stir fry which was awesome. And the pad thai that I always have a hard time finding a good one and this one was great. We were on our way to a different restaurant and it was closed so we googled this one. I was a little underwhelmed because the setting is humble but the food was excellent and will be coming more often.

I don't have enough words to express how great the food it's at the restaurant! We were driving back from orange beach and looking for a place to stop and have lunch, even tho is not close to the freeway I'm so happy we took the time to drive to this restaurant! The owner is so kind and very helpful. There were 9 of us and a baby and our food came fast and our drinks got refilled quickly. Everyone ordered something different and we all ended up sharing from each other's plate because everything was so good! This place will be a favorite from now on! Give them a try you will not regret it ☺️

We came here for lunch. We ordered the fried spring rolls and soft spring rolls with tofu for appetizers. The fried rolls came with a sweet/spicy sauce and the soft rolls came with a peanut sauce as well as a sweet sauce. Both appetizers were good. For entrees, we had yellow curry, drunken noodle, and ginger/veggie tofu. The former two dishes were enjoyable, however the ginger dish was 10/10 great! I got it medium spicy, which was actually pretty spicy, but not absurdly so. Overall, the food was great. The flavors were right on target, and the food seemed freshly prepared. The restaurant is pretty low-key, so you might pass it without noticing. Give it a try!

This is by far the very best Thai food I have eaten! Very,very authentic and generous proportions. Service is great . They really care about their food, presentation and customer satisfaction! If you enjoy authentic Thai food you can not go wrong here! The Larb is my favorite, but other dishes are excellent too. And the prices are comparable to every other restaurant in town. LOVE this place and I highly recommend!

My new favorite place! Cody was our server and he is amazing! Always had our drinks filled, brought us anything we wanted fast with a laid back personality. The atmosphere should have 10 star rating! It’s a huge beautiful restaurant! I had the boudin balls with sauce that’s an awesome horseradish flavor. The spinach and artichoke dip is phenomenal! Perfectly cooked bow tie pasta deep fried for dipping. And this place has the BEST burger I’ve ever had! It’s the Steak Burger. It is so tender and delicious! It’s the only burger they can put a temp on to cook to order and mine was perfectly medium. Our best friend ordered two of the upside down pineapple drinks. The fries are nice and crispy and good dipped in the horseradish sauce. I added pictures of outside and the food, but my pics won’t do this place justice!

Went to The Chimes in Covington for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday. I really liked the atmosphere of this place. Very layed back. Family friendly with added bonuses on the property. We had a party of 4 and was seated immediately. Our server was really great. He put in our drink and appetizer order. Our every need was meet during dinner. Things came out in courses which I really like. The food was fantastic and so were the mixed drinks. After dinner however was the fun part. In the back of the restaurant they have 2 cute friendly goats and a walk way that leads you to the river. The have places to sit down to enjoy the view and you can also rent kayaks and paddle boards. On the way back they also had a place where you can play corn husk toss or horseshoes. They even have string lights to light the area up at night. This restaurant was so cool and was like a day resort. I will be back to The Chimes because this place is the total package!

The Chimes never disappoints! I ordered the Alfredo Pasta with Blackened Chicken. I went in pretty late to pick it up and found it still piping hot when I got back to my hotel room. Y’all. When I tell you that I licked my fingers CLEAN when I finished?!? Definitely a go to spot if you’ve never been. The brand as a whole does a phenomenal job, no matter the location. They’re awesome in Covington and in Baton Rouge. 5 stars! Nicely done!

The food at the Chimes was very good. In our party we ate the boudin balls, bbq shrimp, boat load seafood platter and a burger. Everyone enjoyed their food. The menu has a good selection of seafood and non-seafood options. Being a Cajun living in Texas the last twenty years it was good to eat some really good seafood that is seasoned to perfection. Definitely would recommend the Chimes and hope to stop the next time we are visiting family nearby.

Food was ok. Not as good as I expected from the other reviews. Customer service could be better. The servers were inattentive. The owner and manager introduced themselves and conversed to certain customers - not everyone. The atmosphere was great, nice seating inside and outside. I love the renovation! (an extra star was given for decor, otherwise I would give this place 2 star rating)

Visited Lola's for the first time today and here is the run down- Located in an Old Railroad Station with Clean and Modern Details (refurbished), well kept dining area, indoor , outdoor and railroad seating, no I am not kidding, you can literally eat in the restaurant's extended outdoor which is apart of the old downtown Covington Railroad station in air conditioning. You will need to order at the counter/ bar for food and drinks and then your number is given and food is delivered to your table. Lola's offers wine, beer and a bar at the counter order area. The rail cart seating was way too cool for me not to give them 5 stars and its decorated, clean and the food daily specials are delicious. Great for a first try or a once in a while visit. Not seated for the partying environment. ⭐️

We ate in the train car. My hubby found it on Google and didn't realize it was as fancy. I went wearing yoga pants after a long day. The service and food was amazing. Not and every day but definitely worth the trip.

Great service, good atmosphere and a somewhat limited dinner menu. A slice of pie and all other desserts are ten dollars each. The food was very good but not great. The tuna appetizer was delicious but a little too spicy. Our mouths were burning for a while after eating it. Great blood orange martini.

What a hidden gem!! Definitely the best restaurant in Covington and maybe the best Italian in the whole state!! Very small quaint, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant that you will drive by as we have many times but be wise and stop for dinner. They have a patio we are anxious to try. The service is top notch in that they can't do enough to make your experience a good one. They may not all be well versed in the Italian menu and culture (like grappa) but they will find out for you!! The wine list was the most interesting! It is like cruising in a wine shop with the prices on the bottles and you just choose your wine. That was so much fun and we found a great bargain on a Premier Grand Cru. The menu has all the Italian favorites, making choices difficult. Know while making your choices that portions are large and it is all authentic and well prepared. We had the side of Saffron Risotto to start and that was perfectly prepared (so hard to find) which paired well with the wine. We had salads, one house and one cesar both very nice. I would not order those again because I needed room for the other food but being married to an Italian he loves to eat in courses, so.... My husband had the Eggplant Parm which was to die for and I had the seafood pasta with a mushroom sherry cream sauce, again perfectly prepared with mounds of shrimp, lobster and seafood. I ended up taking most of it home but it was actally fresh and wonderful the next day!! We of course had disgestives and they did have grappa and espresso much to my husbands delight! We shared tiramisu which we could not finish but then tasting is a thing. It was a culinary experience like you would expect in Italy. You should not miss!! It would be perfect for a cozy Romantic date night or a great place for a dinner with family or friends! Reserve ahead - It is small and likely fills up way ahead.

Was one of my favorite place to go until last night. I ordered a drink that I thought I may like and didn't. Appeared that they were going replace it and when the manager came and asked about how our meal was my husband was honest that it wasn't his favorite. Didn't ask to have it paid for, he ate it. He just gave her his opinion and then we got yelled at. Told that we were the "kind of people" that wanted to get things for free! The manager and bartender attacked us and we were told not to come back. We go there at least twice a month and gladly spend good money there. It was an awful discriminating experience.

Stepped in with our kids without reservation the waitress and waiter were nice. The manager(a bald guy with glasses on at the bar, not sure if it’s manager or owner or whatever) was extremely rude. I never know for a restaurant with this price range and set up is considered “high end”. Yeah we didn’t dress up and this place might not kids friendly (my kids are best behaved ones that grow up with fine dines), we got that so I wasn’t upset at all. We just simply didn’t feel cook and found a random restaurant to eat at an ordinary day as always. But the food… come on, below average. I don’t quite understand those good reviews about the food, I guess we’re just spoiled by the excellent food and top bar restaurants around the world. Seriously unless you can bring the best food on the table or there’s no reason to be arrogant and narcissistic think you are luxurious. Thousands choices around the Northshore area or just drive further to go New Orleans. If you have to go, apparently, don’t bring the kids!

The food was presented like fine dining: like there was a contest to see how beautifully it could be presented. And it was delicious. I was outside, where the atmosphere was wonderful, but I think I was forgotten a few times as I had to flag down a server every now and then.

My overall experience I would rate 5/10. My waitress Sarah seemed unwelcoming and didn’t smile once. Wait times were very slow. I’ve seen multiple waiters/waitresses just on their phone laughing and had to wait 10 minutes just to get the check. Carne asada tacos were good. The rice and beans are very bland with not much flavor. The tortilla chips were cold and hard unfortunately. For the prices they’re asking, it’s not worth it. It’s pretty inside with nice decor but the wait times and a food just isn’t worth coming back.

The Hammond location is a solid ten but you guys have a great start! 🩷🩷🩷 That Boujee bi*ch on Wednesday for $7 is my jam! Love the artwork and the vibe inside. The food is fabulous as well! Loved the taquitos.

This place is amazing. The staff are genuinely all very nice people. Our service on both times we visited was phenomenal. The food is so GOOD! I cannot say enough good things about it. I would eat here everyday if I lived closer. My husband and I drove from Denham Springs to eat eat here! That is over an hour one way....it's THAT good.

I love this place! Was visiting out of town with a couple friends and we went here for dinner and it was just a great time! Delicious food, cool atmosphere, and great staff. Our server, Justin, such a chill and funny guy also just made our night the best. Will definitely go again when I visit next time!

This is one of the highest rankings that I'll give to any restaurant I've been to. We have been here many times before today and everything is always excellent, food service, etc. Usually has a wait during three time we go but we'll worth it. Today my wife had Eggs Benedict which were perfectly prepared with lots of yolk for the muffin. And her grits were real grits with the right consistency and cheesy like usual per her request. Today I felt like something other than breakfast and had the Veal Penne. It was one of my favorite Italian meals ever. Not thinking of the Italian name of this place, so I wasn't expecting what I got. This was the tastiest, crispiest veal I've ever had with a perfect Italian seasoning blend. The marinara sauce was perfect and not runny like some. Even the bread stick was perfectly toasted and crispy with seasonings. They have a small Italian selection but I'm going to try them all. Rereading the above, I did not overuse the word perfect. If you are in the area, this place is a must in my opinion, the perfect brunch spot.

This is a must try breakfast/brunch spot! They have people coming to eat until the last minute! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for the appetizer. It’s likely the best dip I’ve had but definitely the best homemade chips I’ve had! The chips taste like wontons! I ordered the American Cheese Burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was cooked to order, I ordered medium and the cook nailed it! My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and she loved it, says it’s 10/10. Our best friend ordered the special, it was BBQ shrimp and grits. She says the shrimp were seasoned perfectly, and the grits were a little greasy. Overall great experience, food, and service! Great breakfast restaurant. Very diverse menu from traditional to omelets. The pancake are huge. The crab omelet was smaller than I expected. My wife and I split one…mistake. Parking was sparse…riding around block several times, but definitely not a reason to not visit.

This is a fantastic restaurant with excellent food and extremely friendly service that is quick, warm, inviting and welcoming. Perfectly cooked eggs benedict. A very cozy and roomy vibe. Located in Covington, LA. this restaurant is sure to please your appetite. Can't wait til my next visit so I can try out some of the other menu items. Bloody Mary was fantastic. Not strong, not weak, but just right to be paired up with classic eggs benedict. I posted a photo of the bill and some photos of the menu. The menu is no nonsense which I absolutely love. Ever sat down in a restaurant and been handed a menu with 10 pages? I have! And it is overwhelming. Not at Mattina Bella. It's front and back! Love it. As I sit here still at the bar at busters writing this, I can’t help but think this is one of the best lunches I’ve had in a long long time. I started first with a half dozen chargrilled oysters. Now I’ve eaten this in every oyster joint from New Orleans to the keys and they were phenomenal! I will say the size left some to be desired as I got one good oyster and 5 very small ones. But they were delicious. Then to my main course, I ordered the shrimp poboy dressed! The shrimp tasted fresh, they were perfectly fried and crunchy! The French bread was almost perfect! I sat at the bar for this lunch time Saturday meal, the atmosphere was great, the staff friendly! Even the back of house guys that came up here were awesome! This restaurant has 2 entrances. One on the main drag on old town Covington, the other in an alley, the vibe coming in the alley entrance was great! At the end of the bar is a small oyster shucking area that is very old school and cool! I could sit here sipping beer all day long watching the shuckers at work! The only bad thing I have to say about this place is a very limited beer selection and an even more limited list of local options. Outside of that, I won’t be making a trip to Covington in the future without stopping at Busters Place! And I suggest you give it a shot! Cheers!

I decied to come here for the 1st time after this time on the Northshore bc of supposed steak night. I don't think I got the advertised 18.99 for a ribeye... Which I also pre messaged on FB about it. But it is what it is. Seating here is free for people unfamiliar with it. It did take a minute to get waited on as the waitress did not seem aware I was at a table for a min. Which she apologized for I don't per se think it's her fault but a fault with the system. All the food I had here was very good. It may not be top tier food but it definitely tasted great. The rum punch was also alot better than I was anticipating. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium and was juicy and tender. There should also be a note there is a credit card surcharge which I find slightly obnoxious in today's climate when electronic tenders especially post covid are ever more popular. Shateria did help make up the experience for me which is why I elevated the service status to 3* which were originally going to be a 2. Not the best random walk in experience but the food and her best efforts definitely made up for it

The service was fine. We were confused walking in as first time customers. We werent greeted but told to sit anywhere. Food was pretty close to hospital food. Oysters tasted(and were) burnt, northshore gumbo was floury, and tasted like it was made days ago. Meat was incredibly dry, flavorless. We had to season everything. Shrimp platter was bland. I was halfway done half a poboy. I took a bite and had this awful, salty, slime in my mouth. The food tastes like it's for elderly people with taste buds for bland (hence the older crowd). the bread was amazing! I must stress it is super bland. Update: ive got food poisoning- not exactly how I wanted to spend my Saturday night

We went to Buster’s on Sunday 7/3, right before the restaurant was to be closed for the following week. We were not greeted so much as being told to sit anywhere. We ordered the chargrilled and raw oysters. The chargrilled oysters were not hot and the raw oysters were not cold. We watched as our server held the oysters near her shoulder while she had a prolonged conversation with the oyster shucker, her ponytail swinging dangerously close to the oysters that we were about to consume. When the oysters finally arrived, we ordered a beer to go with the oysters. She did go get the beer right away, but her conversation with Mr. Shucker was not over. Once again, we watched her hold the beer as she continue the prolonged conversation with the shucker. He must be very interesting! When the chargrilled came, they were not bubbling hot like one might expect something coming out of a broiler might be. They were little warmer than room temperature and topped with barely melted waxy parmesan cheese and seemingly nothing else. We split the seafood platter which wasn’t terrible. Although it lacked seasoning save for the oysters which were extremely salty, it was hot and not greasy. The oysters were heavily breaded and cut into strips rather than fried whole and we did not receive the ‘corn fritters’ that come with the plate. When we asked our server, she let us know that Buster’s was closed the following week and they had run out of them. Perhaps, she should have mentioned that when we ordered? The ambiance of Buster’s and the cleanliness were okay, but it definitely felt more like a barroom than a restaurant. While it was very affordable for a seafood place, I guess you get what you pay for and I that we will not be back. ps- lastly, we added a soft shell crab and it was the smallest crab either of us had ever seen.
