Just ate at this Bob Evans today and was pleasantly surprised. Place was pretty busy for the lunch crowd but got seated pretty quickly, staff was friendly and attentive, food was really good - country fried steak, mashed potatoes & green beans. My brother had something off the breakfast menu and his wife had a salad. No complaints here. Will try to get back more often now that I've tried them as it's been a long time.

Our waited was amazing and she told us it was her first shift solo and she was new. She did an amazing job and was super friendly. Food tasted amazing and Was a great value. Overall great experience and don’t forget about the delicious banana nut bread.

Really nice spot for breakfast with a great view out the south window. It looks like they're building a patio on the south side and I'm curious to come back for that when it's finished. Friendly staff, generous portions, welcoming and nostalgic/homey atmosphere. One of the better-kept Bob Evans restaurants we've visited in Florida. I appreciate little touches like the fiber degradable straws (not paper, so it doesn't turn soggy when wet).

Went for lunch with my mom. My food was delicious and so was my mom's! She ordered the chicken salad. And I ordered the small portion turkey dinner. Both meals were very good. And our service was impeccable.

Five stars i’m from Arizona, New Mexico, California and Mexico. I’m used to that kind of Mexican food. This is one of the few places in Florida that resembles authentic Mexican food good people great great food grab a beef soft taco.

Let me start with the positive. Our service was great. The atmosphere is welcoming, very simple but fun. We started with margaritas. This was the worse margarita I have ever had. It tasted like a mix minus the tequila. Our server was very accommodating in exchanging our drinks. My order was beef enchilada and beef taco with rice and beans. There was no seasoning in the beans, rice or beef. Food very bland. I’m not talking about heat, I like to add my own (hot sauce, salsa etc). Very disappointing. Our server was receptive to mine and another customers comments regarding bland food. Hopefully the chef is responsive.

Amazing service and a friendly staff! Cute atmosphere and a good location. Prices are great. The food is ok, we had the carne asada which was cooked well and had a great authentic flavor and the combo 13 with chicken which were very average...we weren't wowed but it is the best Mexican restaurant in Clermont! We recommend giving them a try!

Our waitress, Summer, was an absolute gem. She patiently guided us through the menu, helping us make informed decisions about what to order. Her recommendations were spot on, and she ensured our comfort throughout the evening, contributing significantly to our overall dining experience. While the food was undeniably delightful, it was the warm and welcoming service that made our visit to Root & Bar Bistro + Bar truly unforgettable. My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary, it was one of the best meals and dining experiences we have ever had. We had the fried green tomatoes (amazing!!!), Livin’ on a Pear cocktail, salmon, roasted chicken, and dessert. Everything was lick-your-plate excellent. Details such as the hostess opening the door for us, our waiter (Jon) being delightful, the chef coming out to see how our meal was, and a handwritten card for our special occasion made it a meal we will never forget. Our only complaint is that we wish we could take the whole restaurant back home with us!

I’m so glad we found this gem! Everything we ordered was delicious. Summer made this dining experience memorable by responding so well to our questions and needs. My mother ordered the pork chop and it is by far one of the best she’s ever tasted. My husband enjoyed the pickled tomatoes so much that he bought a quart to take home. I told Summer we would be back as soon as we ran out. The drinks are strong and so tasty. We recommend the Margarita Violeta and the Old pineapple sweet!

I had the pleasure of dining at Root and Branch this weekend for the first time. Boy, have I been missing out! The service, ambiance, menu offerings, food quality and presentation certainly exceeded my expectations! We decided to just try a few appetizers and each was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. We couldn't leave without indulging in the creme brulee, which was out of this world! I can tell this establishment uses only the finest ingredients. Sadly, I was too excited when some of the appetizers arrived, I neglected to take pictures of them all, but I did take a few. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights.

We had an amazing dinner at Root and Branch on Friday night! The fried green tomatoes and Brussel sprouts were gone so quickly that I forgot to take a picture. But they were delicious! We also had the most amazing kale salad ever with locally sourced grown kale. Best we’ve ever had! The pork chop, gnocchi bolognese and bone in ribeye were all delicious too. Personal service and a visit from the chef/gm made the perfect meal. We highly recommend!

I went to this location recommended by my daughter! The atmosphere and place was great. We ordered several dishes and everything was delicious. We had the southern fried green tomatoes and it was superb. Our server was Kim B and she was outstanding! I really want to love this place but the service and food is just not the best. We waited almost an hour to get our food, only to get a raw, rubbery grouper sandwich. I said something but unfortunately we had to get home since we were there so long. The waiter did take the food off since it was raw but nothing else, we also got 3 drinks and the bread app along with another entree, and I ended up going the night without dinner… I got the vibe this happens a lot and they didn’t really care if we had a good experience or not.

I dined at The Souther on 8th in Clermont and had a mixed experience. The deviled eggs were a standout, perfectly seasoned and a delightful appetizer. The Angus burger also impressed, juicy and flavorful. However, I was let down by the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It lacked the expected heat and the chicken was a bit dry. The service was great, but the inconsistency in food quality left me wanting more. While it's worth trying for the deviled eggs and burger, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich might not be the best choice.

What a great place. Feels like you’re at home. Visiting the area and dropped by while my car was being worked on. The staff is very friendly and the place has a nice warm vibe. It’s obvious this is a definite local hangout. The menu is super. They have a wall board with specials not on the menu, like fish and grits, which was very tempting. Since it was my first time, I thought I would order standard dishes to compare them to other places we visited. The server was wonderful. Very friendly and conversant. My wife ordered the country fried steak and eggs, and I got a three meat omelette. We chose different breads, a biscuit for my wife and rye toast for me. The food was promptly delivered, piping hot. The toast was nice and hot too. The country fried steak was big and the gravy tasty. The grits were good and served with margarine. I prefer butter and asked the server, which she brought out promptly. The eggs over easy were on point! The omelette was generously big, with plenty of meat inside. It looked like the omelette was cooked at a high temperature which led to the outside being browner than I like, and the inside a little wetter than I like. That said, it was delicious and I enjoyed it. Definitely worth a visit!

The first time there the waitress was excellent and checked on us often the price was great on a $16 dollar bill i gave a $10 tip we will come back again many times the food was excellent and hot which is rare for a breakfast. Thank you

Cute place in a large plaza. My wife complained that her burger was obviously frozen. That did it for her. She could not finish hers. I liked mine. The chicken in the chicken soup was tough. My wife could not finish that either. Those reasons will make us seek another place to grab lunch when in Clermont. I'm also not a fan of having my server announce what I owe without seeing an itemized bill. Also, it's uncomfortable to have a device put in front of me, where I must decide the tip amount with the server standing right there. That is a private decision not to be made with the recipient watching.

I went to papas diner for breakfast a few days ago and WOW was I blown away at the wonderful staff, tasty food and great atmosphere! Literally feels like home! The manager was so friendly and helpful! By the way the review that was left from the lady about her shrimp and grits is far and I mean FAR from accurate! People are just so cruel these days! If you’re going to leave bad reviews, please consider our small local businesses! 😊

Nice diner that was very busy. Took a little bit to get our food, but the waitress made sure we had coffee refills whole waiting. They did have a couple vegetarian dishes and great. I had the veggie omelet with home fries and rye toast. My hubby had the western omelet. The home fries were good and never became soggy.

Decent food. Staff is usually pretty attentive and friendly. Errors in food but they are quick to fix. Can’t beat the 2 for 1 happy hour. Just wish they didn’t come out at the same time, and then glasses were the same size and filled up. Decent amount of food at a fair price.

Went to dinner last night. Horrible experience. Server Jen was overworked, overwhelmed, forgetful. Two for one were a disappointment. Mac and cheese with the chicken fingers was watery and not close to being filled. Chips and salsa were cold. Ordered a plain cheese Quesadilla it came out with chicken and bacon So that had to be remade. It came out 10 minutes later when the rest of us were almost finished eating. It was rubbery like it was microwaved. The kitchen staff was yelling and cursing the whole meal. Unlikely to return.

We had the lunch pick 3 for $14.99; a drink, chicken enchilada soup (hot and delicious with large chunks of chicken) and chicken bacon ranch quesadillas (cheesy and crisp on the edges) only complaint-couldn't taste the bacon, we could see it, but the other flavors masked it. Service was quick and responsive. The food was timely, hot, good portion size, and what we ordered. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. The aisles were wide enough for Mom's walker. She was able to turn it around easily without disturbing other guests. Our server offered to store it out of the way and brought it back to us after we paid. We would eat there again.

The food was ok. I couldn't eat much so I ordered 2 sides of mashed potatoes and they tasted very different. One was too garlicky and the other was just off. I ordered fries and they were very good. My friend had a double burger that looked amazing. She said it was the bomb! The restaurant was very clean, the staff were all friendly. They had different sporting games in which was great. My server, Jenn, was absolutely amazing! Ask for her and tip her well. She was the sweetest! I look forward to going back to visit my friend on a Friday or Saturday, so that we can patronize this establishment and be served by the best. Happy eating!

I was here a few nights ago and had the most patient bartender take care of us. My family had a great time and my son left his toy at the restaurant and freaked out.
