Absolutely marvellous breakfast experience! Beautiful interior and great service, the scrambled eggs were divine, the French black pudding was a positive surprise and the pastries were fresh and baked to perfection. The only issue was that the temperature of the food could be higher when it was brought to us - it cooled down fairly quickly. Other than that I loved it and can't wait to be back!

The full english breakfast was disappointing. Although it tasted good, for £10.75 we got only one sausage, no beans, a very small amount of egg and FOUR slices of bread. We were glad to get a table without booking, but service was very slow. A 10% service charge was put on the bill even though it was just breakfast for two people, i hope i’m not being rude or anything but i don’t think this was very fair.

Walked in on Friday night and got a table despite being busy. Service was great and quick. Food was excellent, fish stew was outstanding. Crème caramel was lovely. GF menu was the reason we went, food is always excellent.

My First time visit COTE in NCL It was delicious crème brûlée it was a such a nice treat! Perfect high quality and the taste and texture reflects that. These are super smooth and creamy without being too heavy or over the top sweet.

A fantastic first visit for my partner and me. We were a bit skeptical initially but we were proven wrong every step of the way. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional and in generous proportions. Will definitely be coming back very soon. Cotê was the highlight of our day.

So glad to have stumbled upon this gem of a Desi Fusion restaurant in Fenham! The perfect fusion of Desi & Western cuisine. Gulab Jamun French Toast - that’s just one of the highlights you get here! 😄🍨 Aziz & Zara, the young couple who started this restaurant a few months, are the loveliest of people. I got to know that the chef is their very own Aunt - recipes for the Pakistani/Indian cuisine are authentic and really homely. The food served was incredibly rich. Plenty of vegetarian options! ☕️ Karak Chai (barista style) 🥗 Vegetable Pakora Bucket 🌶️ Paneer Chilli 🧄 Tarka Daal 🍚 Mushroom Pilau 🐠 Fish Curry of the day This is definitely a spot I would recommend. It isn’t at the main streets of Fenham, so coming across it as we were driving out of Fenham was a gem of a find. The best place in Newcastle to have homemade Desi food. Especially parathay! I don't think anyone in Newcastle does a thali so delicious or even at all. Customer service is incredible. They have a wide range of breakfast options including pathoray, pooriyan, and halal English breakfast.

Had heard about the great breakfast menu at Brunch 23 from a friend so went to check it out. I'm a big fan of dosas so got the chicken dosa. I got teo chicken stuffed dosa with chutneys and it was delicious. Looking at the rest of the menu I'm keen to return as there's so much to try! Would recommend.

Friendly and professional staff, with excellent menu options. We came here for the brunch options, where I ordered their halwa puri. The chole and the halwa were masterfully done, and the puris are light and flaky without being overly greasy. If you're feeling hungry, the big desi is an excellent option, comes with an aloo tikki(?) that's to die for. Their channa chaat was also excellent and sure to please a crowd. Tried their regular, karak and noon chai, and thought they were alright. Took a long time to arrive and wasn't to our tastes, but not bad enough to knock a star off.

The food we had was nice but there isn’t a lot of selection for people who don’t like eggs (there was only the granola). I had the saag aloo hash bowl with no egg which was nice. It’s great this place is dog friendly and the atmosphere is cool. Cocktail list looked great too!

Loved my veg hash bowl, but Turkish eggs on toast were way too spicy. Great brunch place and their lemonades are sooooo good, especially the ginger beer mint one! Also they are dog friendly.

Late breakfast at Ernest Cafe in Ousburn. A laid back relaxed setting with great outdoor seating We had the Plant Lovers Breakfast and the Turkish Eggs. Two delicious, healthy dishes and loved everything. Could have done without the beetroot falafel 😬 will have both dishes again, soon 😋

Well this was worth walking to find!! Delicious coffees, excellent cheesecake and a very nice prosecco to finish. A foodie tour of Ouseburn needs to include dessert, and this was a great spot for that.

Lovely food and great rustic interior. This is a nice heart place offering various pub style and modern lunches and breakfasts. As I require halal food, there is a great range of vegetarian and vegan dishes available on the menu. Overall it was good food, nice vibes and I would go again for a breakfast or lunch. I ordered the bangers and mash and definitely enjoyed it. The tea was decent too

First time coming here, staff rushed off their feet, however very attentive and friendly. Food was so good, poached eggs were a bit over done and I needed extra hollandaise sauce however hot, good quality and really tasty, partner loved the business breakfast which was huge, and drinks were lovely, great atmosphere and very clean nice environment, will be back 😝

Went there on a Friday morning with my partner. We had to wait around 15 minutes in a queue outside as the place was full. Once we were invited in, we set at our table and ordered the food and drinks. My partner got the USA breakfast, with pancakes, hash browns, sausages and maple syrup, whereas I went for the halloumi breakfast, with spinach, fried eggs, baked beans and halloumi cheese. The food came promptly and it was nice. Overall a nice experience and would love to have a second visit in the future.

Blown away by our experience in the famous Butterfly Cabinet Cafe. Without fail, there always is a queue of patrons waiting to enter. 🍔 Blue Cheese Burger 🥪 Vegan Rio Grande Sandwich 🍣 Salmon Benedict Muffin 🧀 Halloumi Breakfast ☕️ Mocha Coconut For the price, food quality and the service, this was definitely a steal. I am definitely coming back again.

Visited for restaurant week which is always a risky choice. Staff took us to the wrong table and the waiter was slow, having to remind him of what we had ordered and get one dish corrected in terms of its sides. Prawns to start and the Black Forest moose to finish were both fabulous although the supplement for the prawns wasn’t clearly indicated. Unfortunately the main course was average at best, the Normandy chicken turned out to be a standard chicken breast with a few French fires, a meal anyone could easily cook at home for a lot less. This significantly let down a promising starter and excellent dessert in an Enjoyable and refined dining room

Had a overnight stay and had dinner and breakfast ... Dinner didnt start to good ,I asked one of the hotel staff if it was a limited menu due to these Covid times but was assured it was a full menu ..Guess what it wasn't a full menu which was a disappointment... The limited menu was a struggle for my Veggie partner but we managed to choose a starter main meal and a dessert.... I won't go through what we had but the prawn starters where cold and didn't have that much taste.. The main meals which where fish and steak dishes where okay but nothing to get excited about... Desserts where Profiteroles and a cheese board which yet again was nothing to get excited about.. I have stayed and dined at this place many times and I understand with Covid that hotels and bistros are finding their feet again but after last night's meal I don't think I would dine there again ..... A unique place with history. Has a big screen at the back showing pictures and holds cinemas nights. Very good food and the service was excellent. There is also bar with alcoholic drinks. Access via Pilgrim Street.

Why not give it a try when shopping in Newcastle . We just opted for a light snack. Although ghe meals leaving the kitchen looked very nice and really good portions.

The wine selection is decent. I ordered a iced latte, which could have been better. Espresso shot had gone bitter and you could feel that in every sip. The staff and the service was spot on, very polite and professional.

Try the valentine’s special dishes with cocktails and lobster. The portions are generous and the meat is very fresh and tender. Especially the seafood is delicate and juicy. The sauce of shrimp and scallops for the starter is more Mexican, a little spicy and salty but not overpowering. The truffle fries are crunchy, without the truffle bits on the top but the truffle flavour incorporated into the fries. Dessert is toffee Creme pudding, which is a bit sweet but goes well with ice cream. A very filling and satisfying dinner. The waiters are very friendly and patience.

Went for afternoon tea and thought £27 was the price for two as it didn't clarify on the menu but got a massive shock when we got the bill and found out that that was the price per person with a service charge on top of that, which again was hefty and we didn't know about. Came away dissapointed and out of pocket- £60 out of pocket! All for a couple of sandwiches, scones and tea. Parts of it was very appetising and it was a lovely setting to be in but my partner couldn't eat some of it as some of the flavours were a bit out there- not a traditional afternoon tea at all. Good view of the quayside and friendly staff but go only if you can afford it and saved up!

Absolutely gorgeous food. First time we've ate in the resteraunt but not our first stay in the Malmaison. We've a weekend booked at the hotel this weekend and our table is booked already :) Highly recommend.
