Have been my go to place since last 5 years. I wouldn’t want to change anything about it, since the moment you walk in to the whole experience is just amazing. Never seen better customer service and how they go above and beyond for a customer, always ready to go an extra mile. Food is just out of this world, be it quantity and quality. Taste has been consistent throughout the years. The waitstaff is so helpful and knowledgeable about their and menu, absolutely adds more stars to the amazing place. Owner is the most down to earth person and always ready to listen and accommodate as per customers. I wish i could give it 10 stars, all my friends and family has same experience. must try 💯

Worst server you can ever get , go here to experience Karen . White old lady told us she wont be able to give us extra chairs for our infant car seat when we booked bigger table . Coz it will be waste of chairs when she can sit more adults who gonna eat . She started arguing until her manager had to jump in . No audacity to even apologize. Definitely not going back when they make you feel comfortable. Food was ok nothing extra ordinary or special

Impromptu plan to visit the restaurant but turned out to be a delightful surprise. Great portion size and very warm service staff. It is more like a neighbourhood friendly cafe. Would definitely love to go back and try out more from their menu.

I visited John’s Family Restaurant with my mother today, the place is nice but a little worn down. Our seats in the booth had huge rips in the leather, didn’t look too appealing to sit on. Ordered calamari as a starter, it was okay..average small pieces of calamari and the sauce was boring. We both ordered the chicken souvlaki as our main dish, the portions are unbelievably huge. Food wasn’t bad, chicken was fresh. Not a terrible experience overall.

Super cute restaurant with a diner and homey feel. The atmosphere was nice and food was great too! We got a couple omelets and an order of French toast as well. I’d definitely recommend the French toast, it was delicious! The service was a bit unfriendly honestly but I’m hoping it was just because they were a bit busy. Overall a good experience!

Food is great in taste, pricey for quantity vs quality, one star down for having Bhaji not enough warm to be served. Place has a good amount of seating capacity. Ample amount of parking space. All Tables weren’t cleaned properly at time of our visit and wasn’t busy. We cleaned up after ourselves anyways. Family Friendly environment. Ambiance is good. Good Food room from improvement in cleaning and customer service. Overall Good experience.

Amazing food for a great price. This would prob run $23+ in Toronto for the dish I got, but I got a beef kabob and chicken tika masala for $14! The chicken was so incredibly juicy and flavourful. I also enjoyed the dipping sauces on the side. There was a 15 min wait (we were the only ones there) but it’s well worth the wait. Plan accordingly if you have to be somewhere! I definitely will come back if I’m ever in the area!

The chicken shawarma was amazing. You get a big portion to eat, for just 15$. I am impressed with the presentation of food. And size as well. The bread tasted great as it was fresh and warm. The perfect Mediterranean spot. If you are looking for something budget friendly. Then this is the best place. Located in Bramptons downtown. Make sure you a pay a visit. Staff is doing a great job here.

Absolute bang for your buck. Came here yesterday evening and the price was $15 for the amount of food you can see in the pictures! Oh, and of course, food was DELICIOUS! Definitely the best Afghani food spot in Brampton after Pamier Kabob (R.I.P) closed down by main and steeles. If you’re in the mood for some fire waziri kabob or anything afghani come here! Totally worth it!

I was feeling for some goat for my birthday lunch so I jumped on google for the top rated Jamaican food in Brampton. This was top rated! The atmosphere was inviting, and the reggae playing sent me to back in the days. The waitress was nice and patient while we decided. I ordered the two meat meal, goat and oxtail. They don't call me long belly for no reason! I loved the goat, it was perfect! Soft flavor and enough pieces. The oxtail was good but not compared to the goat. My hubby had the fried chicken and he ate all of his food. We will be going back there. I also like the fact that there is a take out section.

Honestly, don't waste your money. I gave this place two honest tries. I ordered takeout and dined in. I ordered the red peas soup and a chicken sandwich for my takeout order. I was told 10 to 15 mins. When I went to collect my order, I was told 5 more mins. Then another 5 more mins. After checking 2 more times, I requested a refund. Due to it being my lunchtime, I had time constraints. The customer service was extremely lacking. She was rude and very impersonable. Subsequently, I received my 35 mins after I placed it. You would think that after such a lengthy wait, my food would have been decent. It sadly was not. I really had hope for the sandwich. Asthetically, the food was appealing. Sadly, that was the only appealing thing. The soup was flavorless, and my chicken sandwich was dry and tough. The silver lining was the sweet potato fries. They were ok. Dry, but this was the best part of the meal. It was a very unappealing meal. Needless to say, I didn't finish it. The meal came up to $35. What a waste. Upon the suggestion of a friend, I decided to give this restaurant a second chance. This time, I went for dine in. I ordered the coconut and shrimp pasta and an extra thigh of fried chicken. For appetizers, we order the platter. We chose the chicken wings, jerk chicken spring rolls, and coconut jumbo shrimp. Just a warning the cream sauce that comes with the shrimp is really spicy. Despite the waitress telling me that it had no spice at all. Needless to say, the platter was the best part of the meal. My pasta was filled with spinach. The shrimp in the pasta was tiny. The sauce was soupy and watery at best. It's not worth your money. The silver lining was the frozrn Mango daiquiri. I ordered a mango sunset, which the waitress recommended. Despite that , I was still giving the wrong drink. I will be honest, for the drink being not what i ordered, it was fantastic. Sold 8/10. I finished that for sure. The food, on the other hand, was severely lacking. I really had hoped it would be better. I was wrong. The chicken wings and the jumbo shrimp were ok. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Try your luck. Who knows. To me, it's not worth the time or money!

Horrible food I waited and waited I should have known something was wrong they were rewarming stale food. I was charged $19.49 for a small ackee, they added $2 for an upgrade for 3 bananas. My question is what was the standard? Call the server Ashley she hangs up on me. That is why they can't reach anywhere.

If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food with flare, then I highly recommend that you visit Xaymaca Restaurant. Deserving of 5+ rating, they have exceeded my expectations with customer service, restaurant ambiance and food. Food made and plated with love, my favourites from their menu include the grilled jerk salmon w/mango salsa and white rice. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Also loved the jerk chicken spring rolls, fried plantain and red pea soup as appetizers. My server Ashley was knowledgeable, attentive and very friendly. I'm looking forward to another visit and trying her dessert recommendations - rum cake!

Me & my friend came here for dinner, Its our first time here. We were seated as soon as we walked in. We gave our whole order to the waitress, we waited 35mins just to get our 2 drinks of ice tea and coca-cola. Our appetizer ( buttetfly shrimp) came before our drinks did... shortly after all our steaks came, the shrimp was amazing, the steak was okay could of been better, my mashed potatoes was cold and my friends steak was tough. The stone didnt stay warm long enough, it went cold pretty fast as my steak didnt get to cook all the way through

It was one of a great food experience . The mocktails were amazingly delicious. The calamari was also top notch. It was a nice dinner place with Halal Stake House. The customer service is amazing, the food presentation is uniquely arranged on a wooden board with hot plate or hot stone which they are very careful in handling and delivering to your table. The only nay would be the sitting space of this place.

Visited a few days back with some friends. The food was very good, we had Shrimp Tempura, 3 steak meals and a Tiramisu at the end. The shrimp was cooked well, laid out nicely, same with the dessert. The steak with chimichurri was well seasoned and had a remarkable taste. The service was just a bit slow but I still think it was worth the wait. Highly recommend. 👍

I was pleasantly surprised how elegant the restaurants ambiance was. It's spacious and decor was modern with beautiful lighting. Our server Abhishek was extremely attentive and hospitable. you will be lucky if you get him as your server. The meals we selected were extremely tasty, especially the Mussels and the Jerk chicken. You will be surprised that there is no alcohol served but regardless, that means more money to spend on appetizers or Dessert ..if you have room following a tasty entree.

Food tasted okay but service was bad. First came out with plastic cups that you get from dollarama for the water. I ordered a pop and they just brought me the can not even with a cup of ice. Steak was good but portions was small for the price. Ordered a cheesecake for dessert and it came with two plastic spoons. Very disappointing for a “steakhouse”. Also waited 30 minutes trying to flag down a server for the bill.

Poorly managed location in terms of food quality, service and cleanliness. Other pickle barrel locations are are much better. Our server was in a rush, there was hair on glass of water. There were left over food chunks in our menus. I would not recommend going to this location

Loved the ambience here, it’s perfect to celebrate! The food tasted so good, we couldn’t resist ordering more. The chicken pesto fettuccine and coconut shrimp was my favourite. The grapefruit cocktail I had ordered was good. Too cozy and refreshing restaurant, no doubt about it. I recommend this place for anyone on any occasion.

Ate at this location recently and the service and meals were OK ( almost good, not great but also not awful). Dined here about two years ago and recall the food was much better. The Yorkdale location was much better as well. A few of the meals were lacking in some areas. The only dish that had no complaints was the steak and fries. Positives: Varied menu options Vegetarian friendly Nice ambiance Great dessert menu. Cheesecake was tasty. Negatives: -The smothered chicken was a bit bland and underwhelming. Mashed potatoes also bland and a bit watery. -Almond crusted salmon dish was also bland and the accompanying rice serving was super small, (less than a cup. More like a spoonful). For the price, it should be more. - Wings were bland -Chicken fettuccine was watery and bland Maybe it was an "off" day, but the meals seem to need a bit more attention.

Tasty local restaurant downtown brampton, make sure you check out the Queen Gypsy Markets that runs year round - amazing pastries (turnovers and cinnamon buns). Can pick up frozen soups and entries to enjoy later as well. Can also order take out, Queen Gypsy has generous portions and the pork schnitzel is awesome. This is a must try.

Hasn't returned to dine in but picked up gypsy stew and special schnitzel. Portions were very generous and both are terrific. The cream cheese stuffed schnitzel was crispy on the outside with a luscious core. Must have been a million calories but each one was so tasty. The stew contained many many tender pork chunks with just enough fat to keep the meat moist in a thick red sauce. Can't decide if the sauce was tomato based but it was rich and nicely seasoned on a bed of rice. Tangy slaw and beets complemented mains. Vera was kind hearted enough to give us turnovers and raisin buns when they ran out of the brioche buns we ordered. Maybe because it was for someone's birthday. Overall a wonderful takeout experience. Hope they open again for inside service.

Love everything about Queen Gypsy. Food is amazing. Service is great. We had a big lunch order and everyone from my workplace were very happy. Schnitzel was perfect. Veggie option was lasagne and it was fantastic. A nice cheery turnover for dessert.

A favorite local spot of ours for a drink or bite to eat. It's cozy and the service is consistently quick for a small staff that can get very busy some nights. We're vegetarian and options for a full meal are slightly limited so you have to piece together a couple sides and a salad. But ingredients are fresh and we'll return many times over.
