We started our meal with the prawn and scallop appetizer. For 19.95, I expected more than 3 prawns and 2 scallops, which were nothing special. You can put as much lettuce on the plate as you want. It still doesn't justify the price. I ordered the Oscar with chicken and scallops instead of the crab. There was (no word of a lie... 2 scallops). My meal was so doused in pepper that I couldn't taste anything else. I know every chef has their spice of preference, be it garlic, onion, or in this case, pepper. But I'd rather taste what I ordered. We were not impressed with this restaurant, to say the least. I also ordered a vodka and Coke, one of them was milky looking. Terrible. I definitely will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

A lovely place with delicious food and amazing staff! We received outstanding service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Our meals were very tasty and the portion sizes were generous. Great atmosphere as well, very cozy and we got to enjoy some live music while we dined.

We would love to give 6 stars if possible. Oh my God what a lovely evening. Service from all the staff was incredible, especially Sascha.. What a delight, fun, outgoing, knowledgeable and super fun. But let’s talk about food! Wow, we were a party of 8 and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. Every single item was cooked to perfection, super tasty and on point. We all enjoyed ourselves so much and we will be back for sure for more deliciousness and of course the lovely ambiance.

I recently had dinner at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill and encountered some complications with the preparation of my steak. Despite requesting it to be cooked to my liking, it consistently arrived rare. This resulted in a very long waiting time, leaving my waitress understandably displeased. However, she took the initiative to voice the issue to the owner, and to my surprise, my entire dinner ended up being compensated as a gesture of apology. Despite the initial setback, I must say that the ribs I had were amazing, and the wine selection was divine. The flavors and quality of the food truly impressed me. Moreover, what truly stood out was the exceptional service and effort demonstrated by both the owner and my waitress (although I can't recall her name). Their willingness to rectify the situation and ensure my satisfaction left a lasting impression. Despite the rocky start to my evening, I would gladly return to Bourbon Street Bar and Grill for a meal whenever I find myself in Vernon. The commendable service, delicious food, and the genuine efforts made by the staff have earned my appreciation and trust. I am confident that any future visit will be met with the same level of care and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Bourbon Street is my 134th restaurant, eatery, and café in Vernon. It is attached to a hotel which means the prices can be a bit more expensive. However, most menu items use more obscure ingredients than what you normally see in restaurants around town. Chelsey was an excellent server. I ordered Pad Thai. I asked if the portion size for $27 would be big. I was assured it was. Judge for yourself. I thought it was big enough. After tax and 15 percent tip, I paid $36.23 for Pad Thai and two root beer sodas. The Pad Thai is almost like a pasta. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here at Bourbon Street. 134 restaurants down; 20 to go.

Busy fun place for a meal, staff were great, located in the Prestige Hotel. I enjoyed my Crispy chicken Sandwich my wife enjoyed here Eggs Benny. The prices were fair and we had some coupons related to our stay at the prestige.

Hubs and I recently tried out the restaurant as it was somewhere new for us. The waitress and other staff were awesome and the desserts were awesome. We were disappointed with the portion sizes given what the prices are. I ordered the salmon which I thought came with potatoes and veggies and all it came with was about 4 baby potatoes and over boiled spinach with olives. The tast was incredible apart from the portion sizes. My hubs had the prime rib and it came with a two bite piece of corn (so not even a half a cob)and two bite yorkshire pudding, which other restaurants also serve and they are three times the size. I would likely go back for dessert and the ambiance, but not for another meal.

Reserved a table for a birthday party for my 22 yr old son. Was a fabulous experience! The atmosphere is pleasing, music is not too loud, food was delicious and well-present and the employees were friendly and fast. All around a perfect evening! I highly recommend!! PS- The servers made room for my 3 yr old granddaughter and another child from a table nearby to have a dance party together. It was adorable and kept the little ones entertained!

Kelly O Bryan's is my 118th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon. Note: Appy Hour is 7 days a week between 2pm-5pm and 9pm-Close. Another note: You get $20 off on birthday meals for lunch and $30 off for dinner. I haven't dined in at Kelly O's since I was 21 years old when somebody I am no longer friends with celebrated her birthday here. I had pachos delivered once in 2020. They were overpriced and mediocre. It was a great opportunity to give Kelly O's another chance. Luckily I did my Appy Hour research before coming here. My server didn't say anything about Appy Hour, but thankfully I went with my gut that it would be in effect. A veggie Portobello burger meal is priced at $22.95. This puts it at $2 higher than any other gourmet veggie burger I have encountered around town, and as high as $6 above the cheapest gourmet veggie burgers at restaurants (Red Robin's Burnin' Love burger). I couldn't justify paying up to $29 for a veggie burger, lattice fries, and water after tax and tip so it was one of the rare times where I felt priced out of a burger meal. I bought the deep fried pickles at the Appy Hour discount (they are normally $14.95). I tried buying a bottomless soda with it, but if you order root beer they bring you a Dad's Root Beer. Sadly, the server said nothing about root beer orders defaulting to Dad's Root Beers which means they aren't bottomless. I get the impression that the server thought I was a regular. These are just some minor tips for him. After 118 eateries in Vernon, I feel like I am unintentionally that guy who thinks he is being helpful but rather is that annoying nitpicking guy. What have I become. The deep fried pickles were pretty good. Sir Winston's are still the best in town, but Kelly O's are on that secondary tier. After tax and an eighteen percent tip, I paid $16.81 for deep fried pickles and a Dad's root beer. Is the menu overpriced in contrast to the similar restaurants throughout the rest of Vernon? Yes. Should you take advantage of Appy Hour: Yes. Fill up on Appy Hour, avoid root beer when ordering soda, and maybe come here for a heavily discounted birthday meal here at Kelly O's. It's more like a 3.5/5. I really liked the patio area and the whole decor inside the restaurant. It is a very clean place too. The server also got a lot friendlier as the meal progressed. I should note the big fire downtown happened a few hours earlier, and I know everyone was sad and quiet today. I could see everyone just needing to go through the motions for the day especially given Okanagan Eatery is a fellow restaurant that was lost today. I will come here for Appy Hour again. Just please reconsider reducing your burger meals. Even a dollar reduction will make a lot more people willing to buy the burger meals. 118 eateries in Vernon down; 40ish to go. It was great to give Kelly O's another try and be satisfied with Appy Hour!

Amazing sushi spot here in Vernon, everything is made well and quality of fish is very good as well. Staff and ownership always make you feel welcome. My favorite order is the Boston roll and the spicy salmon roll, highly recommended!

This is easily the best sushi we have ever had! My husband and I were visiting for 3 days and ate here twice it was SO good! I have a bunch of allergies and food sensitivities and they took such good care of me. Miriam made sure everybody knew what to do with my order in regards to my allergies. She took such good care of us and deserves a raise!!

Aug 2023 update. Was the inlaws 61st wedding anniversary and they were here for a visit, so we decided to give Phoenix another chance. Dinner tonight was better than our first visit. Steak tenderlion was seasoned nicely and cooked to desired med rare. The anniversary couple had lobster dinners which they enjoyed, little lady had the seafood pasta which was also described as "pretty good" this evening. Tried the escargot again, for an appetizer which was loaded with cheese. If you enjoy a substantial helping of melted cheese this is a go to dish for you. All in all a much better experiance this evening. The staff was helpful and efficient but seemed in a hurry to clear us out from our early evening reservation (6pm) for the next seating. Dinner was wrapped up by just around 7. Regrettably, underwhemling on our thursday night visit. We arrived bit early for reservation and were offered a seat at the bar till our table was ready for drinks with "Vernons best bartender". Drinks were ok, watermelon margarita was one of the specials. Most of the fun sitting at the bar (we were the only seats) is friendly banter with the bartender or even a bit of a show to watch while slinging bottles and mixin, even when they are busy. Not today Appetizers were ok , no great flavors from either the calamari or the cheese soaked escargot. Dinner was hosted by a very friendly server and her service was the high point. Steak and lobster, steak ok, lobster dried out, warm clarified butter was sent back for more lukewarm. All mains lacked a flavor we were looking forward to. Givin some of the reviews and recommendations from locals. All the meals were just ordinary, bourbon mushroom sirloin, Madagascar pepper striploin, seafood spaghettini. No desert tried Nice space on the patio, no views but done up nicly. Service for dinner well done, bar service needed some help on our visit. Not a cheap dinner out at well over $400.00 for 4. We were hoping for more, maybe tough to get back for a second try..........

Update: Finally returned for dinner and dined inside this time as it was late Sept. The dining room was quite welcoming with cozy tables and booths. As it was Happy Hour we started with some appies Mussels and shrimps, Escargot and Salad. The portion sizes for happy hour were the normal full size which was nice to see. They were all delicious. For dinner we split the 16oz Ribeye steak and added a peppercorn sauce. The split cost an extra $4.00 but you also got extra vegetables and potatoes with the 2 plates. The steak was phenomenal so juicy and a perfect medium . The service staff were super friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu items and very attentive. All in all it was a wonderful evening. Dined on the upstairs patio on a Friday evening. The patio is rather small so reservations are recommended. There is no scenic view as it faces the back. Lots of fans to keep you cool. They did have a guitarist playing which was a nice touch. Started with the Bruschetta, you had to assemble it yourself but it was delicious. Then the Caesar Salad which was not a typical Caesar salad as it was made up of only arugula which was over powering ( you had better love arugula if you order this). So this was a disappointment to me. Later after reading the “fine print” on the menu, it did list arugula however it could have been called Arugula Caesar Salad so one knew upfront as to what to expect. For entrees we had the special Half Rack of Ribs which came with fries and coleslaw. Also the 6 oz Filet Mignon which you had to pay an extra $3 for a Bernaise or Peppercorn Sauce. Everything was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary for the prices charged. I was hoping for some memorable pizzazz to my meal. For dessert we had the Cheesecake Trio for $10. These were the tiniest squares I have ever seen. Also the Chocolate Torte, again a super thin slice. They were both scrumptious but disappeared way to fast.

During the Kelowna fires of 2023, Megan, the owner, offered my group of evacuated roommates to all come up for a complimentary lunch so we were well fed. An amazing gem in downtown Vernon. Extremely friendly staff, charming decor, always tidy and clean. And amazing food. I have tried several other items most notably their Benedict selection. Probably one of the best Benedict I have ever had. The salmon Benedict is exceptional as well as the ham. Their daily custom breakfast bowls are also amazing. I highly recommend this location if you go once you will definitely go again.

We went on a Sunday morning so it was quite busy, but it didn't take long for us to order and get our food. The staff was working very efficiently and the lady that took our order was so friendly! As was the rest of the staff. Very good service! And the food was amazing! They put flavours together that I never would have thought would be good together, but it was so tasty! I was recently in town visiting my spouses family. We decided to have brunch at Eatology and ended up going back a second time in the same week for breakfast. The lineup was out the door on Sunday but for good reason, and even then we ordered and were seated in about 15 minutes. The food is phenomenal, the staff is very friendly and efficient. The eggs Benny is my go-to and it literally keeps me full until dinner lol. This will definitely be our breakfast spot whenever we visit Vernon again!

Visitor to Vernon and had to try this “must try place”…and was not disappointed! Had the to die for candy bacon…YUM! The cut was thick, fried to perfection, and just the right amount of sweetness. So many great choices, but in the end I settled for the half rack St Louise pork ribs and gumbo. Wow! A party happening in my mouth and I loved it! So flavourful! Tried all their dipping sauces and my favourite was the Afterburner that gave just the right amount of savoury and hot-kick! Finished the meal off with their in-house cheesecake. YUM YUM YUM!

We were SO impressed with this restaurant! Arrived in Vernon late Sunday evening and needed some dinner - I'd looked this place up online ahead of time as we all love BBQ. Our waitress was the friendliest most amazing server I have ever had in a restaurant! She was so sweet with our kids and she asked us what we were doing here and what we were going to see and recommended us Kal Beach which we went to the next day and loved. The food was SO delicious, and our kids loved the free root beer refills - being from the UK we don't get Root beer or free refills so that was a bonus 🤣 I thoroughly recommend eating here if you find yourself in Vernon!
