I decided to visit this place after a long ride, mainly because of my friends' recommendations. I must say, this place surprised me. It isn't exactly cheap, but it's not overly expensive either, especially considering the above-average or might be even higher quality of the food they serve. The service, both outside and inside, was simply outstanding and maintained relatively high standard throughout. However, I did notice a few areas where they could streamline or offer more budget-friendly options without compromising the overall atmosphere and existing quality.

I have been to this restaurant several times with family and friends and I can’t get enough of it. Eddie is the manager of this restaurant who is so awesome, accommodating, friendly, and attentive. All of the waiters are all great. The ambience has a great scenic view of the water front, the drinks are nice and strong the way I love it, food is fresh, seasoned and delicious, the service is fabulous and the overall environment is relaxing and comforting. The price range for meals is reasonable especially with the cost of seafood today. Parking is not hard to find whether your parking in the actual lot or off the street. For party size great than 3, I would definitely suggest making a reservations for meal times after 5 pm. Prior to that you could walk in and be seated with a table.

My son had his reception here, a perfect, intimate venue for the amount of people we had, about 40. Everyone at the table was completely satisfied with the quality, taste and service. The staff were on top of everything, even running the bar and restaurant simultaneously. The steak I had was cooked to perfection. Couple that with the view, being on the water, it was a perfect, memorable day. The Marina Cafe really set the bar high for me.

I recently dined at Casa Verde and had an great experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, providing great recommendations. The food was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the seafood pasta - it was a perfect BLEND of textures and tastes. The dessert was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Will be back!

Absolutely adore this place. Food that is straight to the point, delicious, priced well and the staff is lovely. We celebrated our anniversary here, and it was great. Atmosphere is quiet and no one rushes you. Recommend for a weekday lunch, weekend or just any celebration you may have in mind.

Wow. This was easily one of my favorite meals… ever. The concept in itself is such a unique and cool concept. We were fortunate enough to be there when Nonna Sahar from Egypt was sharing her delicacies with us. I’ve never had a calamari soup, but it was amazing and would highly recommend. The branzino was cooked perfectly. The lasagna was very saucy (a miss with many other lasagnas) and had a nice tangy-ness to it. Start to finish, no letdowns. Take the free ferry!

The restaurant has the information wrong on Google. Call before going to the restaurant. We arrived at 4:40 pm and the kitchen was closed. We have to wait until 5:15 pm they opened it again. We ate Italian food today. María is a lovely lady who is 89 years old with an amazing actitud. She is an amazing woman. She remains me, my husband's Nonna. The food is good, nothing outstanding. Homemade food. You feel you are eating on your grandma's home on sunday !! The guy behind the bar is not very friendly. We asked him for two glasses of prosseco, and he never offered us a bottle of $ 39. Instead, we paid for 4 glasses $52. But besides that, he was grumpy. Good experience, but we won't return it. The check was $ 145.00 to much money for someone who cooked italian food as a Nonna. Only cash or Venmo payment. 75 % recommended it.

Everything here was so good and everyone was so nice! It’s a relatively small space so best to make reservations beforehand. The miso salmon was the best I ever had and the meatballs and sausage were so soft and flavorful. Would definitely come back again!!

Great concept and the food was delicious. Everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere felt very homely. This place is like a third place for our family, a place to try out the different cultural foods. I would come often to try out the other dishes on the menu as the entree portions are filling. Double check with the portions as grandmas love to stuff you as much food as they can ;) Most of the menu is prepared by Nonna Maria and each day would have a guest grandma preparing a few dishes. As you're seated surrounded by a motley crew of figurines and action figures, you would start off with their freshly baked focaccia before your entrees come out. They have a wide selection of wines and alcoholic beverages to choose from so you would never be tired of drinking the same thing. At the end of the dinner, try out their different desserts and a cup of joe from Joe. Joe, Paula and Safa are the best and will take care of you through your meal. I highly recommend giving Enoteca Maria a try!

What a wonderful experience! One of the highlights of our trip to NYC. We asked for the candied walnut recipe and after a few minutes, Paula gave it to us handwritten. And then the bills arrived for our food and they were handwritten as well. When does that ever happen anymore? The food was delicious and the experience was warm and friendly. Highly recommended. We learned that a movie about the restaurant is coming out soon. Stay tuned!

Staff was attentive and friendly; services quick and professional. The fried calamari was good but it came with a sauce that's new to us, a little hint of buffalo and perhaps tomato..? We weren't sure what the sauce was. The beef carpaccio was interesting and the sauce accompanying the salad was delicious. The beef, however, was thinner than a slice of paper; we had trouble picking it up for it shredded so easily due to its thinness (really wish it was mildly thicker so we can actually taste the beef). Our favorite was the fettuccini carbonara; creamy and flavorful, pairing perfectly with the complimentary bread! Tasted even better when we asked for some black pepper! Overall the entree was more delicious than the appetizers, so definitely try their main entrees if you get a chance! Thanks for reading and good luck everyone!!

This place never disappoints no matter what u order. Our fav is the Veal Ragu over Papardelle. Grilled Octopus, zucchini flowers, salad all delish. You'll also love the bread with a c apanade!

Great atomsphere at the Marina. Dimly lit. All the food was delicious from the Carbonata, to the Veal Martini👌. Lemon🍋 tart dessert & tartufo -which wasn't offered, we asked for it. Service could have been a bit better (mid way through the meal asked for french fries - waiter told me 45 minutes..what??)

The portions were enormous and the place was surprisingly elegantly appointed for a place in a strip mall! For $40 we got essentially a 5 course meal: bread, salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Basically 2 whole meals for $40. Not too shabby! Their salmon with champagne sauce was quite good. Their tomatoes were unfortunately just so-so which is surprising given it was summertime when we dined. The "parfait" was literally just ice cream and the other desserts were pretty average as well. Clearly not a place that employs an Italian pastry chef. One of the waiters seemed very cranky to be there but the other staff were charming and lovely. Overall, great value!

I had a fantastic time at Cafe Bellavita in Staten Island, where we celebrated my sister-in-law's surprise birthday party. The food was perfect, the staff was amazing, and the ambiance was lovely. We ordered a variety of dishes, from pasta and salads to chicken and fish, and everything was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, the flavors were authentic and well-balanced, and the presentation was appealing and appetizing. The portions were also generous and filling. We also enjoyed some wine from their extensive selection, and they even offered some kids meals for the little ones. The staff was incredible, from the hostess who greeted us warmly, to the servers who took care of us attentively, to the chef who came out to wish my sister-in-law a happy birthday. They were all friendly, professional, and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed, and they even brought out a cake with candles and sang along with us. The ambiance was cozy and elegant, with a nice decor and a relaxing music. The restaurant was spacious and clean, and the lighting was soft and romantic. They gave us a nice private room where we could enjoy our meal without any disturbance. Cafe Bellavita is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal with your loved ones. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality Italian restaurant in Staten Island. I will definitely be back soon!

My uncle hosted a 60th birthday party for my aunt here tonight and everything was phenomenal. I rarely write reviews, but I was really blown away by how amazing everything was. All of our courses were delicious; portion size was great and presentation was perfect. Like the food, service is also worth raving about. Our server and back waiters were all attentive and professional. Looking forward to dining here again in the near future.

Would give them a 10/5 if I could. Saturday night entertainment is top notch quality if you like authentic Italian music. Food was perfect. Even the teens and kid enjoyed everything they ate, and couldn’t stop smiling at the singing by the owner and pianist. They made my mother’s birthday so memorable, even serenaded her, and we absolutely will be coming back.

I was taken here by dear friends who live in Staten Island and have dined here before. I was impressed by the clean, spacious and nicely appointed atmosphere and the friendly welcome we received. Our waiter was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and knowledgeable about the extensive southern Italian inspired menu. Unfortunately, the food itself was uneven, with too-dry baked clams that tasted "sandy" and "old" preceding a veal chop that was tender yet tasted a bit overcooked. On the other hand, the Chilean Sea Bass was excellent, as was the paparadelle dish with the seafood medley. All in all, the restaurant is very good and, with a bit more attention to detail, could be excellent.

Horrible service. Came here for my birthday dinner with my entire family. My sister had to leave with her child because it was soooo incredibly loud that you could not hear the person sitting right next to you and Not only did the waiter not check on our table numerous times, he couldn’t take the order until every one sat down and then proceeded to walk away from our table in the middle of taking my fathers order. Our food was so cold that it had no flavor and my brother in law didn’t get his food until everyone else was finished. The waiter was not friendly and we felt dismissed every-time we asked him for something. Then drops a plate of butter over my brother because he’s in such a rush. At the end of the dinner, they sang happy birthday to me and I had the cake sitting in front of me for 20 mins before my sister had to call the waiter over and ask for a knife so we can cut the cake and he looked at her with such an attitude and said “Ill cut it, I’ll cut it” and said it with such a disrespectful manner. As my other sister was talking to this waiter to order coffee the waiter literally walked away from her as she was talking to go to another table. And the icing on the cake, we forgot a card behind and we called to see if they found it and said they would call us back. They never did. I recommend to go anywhere else on this island than this place. All the money we spent, and every single one of us said one time or another that we would never come back to this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

What a terrific experience. Visited here with friends. Food was terrific. Service was on point. We had family-style for our table. It was worth it since we had a large party. Entertainment was incredible. Eating, dancing, laughing, etc.. Staff was super!

Recently we visited the Syrian . Unusually quite tasty, food from simple ingredients, but prepared with taste and professionally. The cuisine of Syria is similar to the Turkish one...a lot of vegetables, spices, but also very little meat, of course, mainly lamb, beef and chicken. In general, it is inexpensive and tasty

On July 30th, I visited Laila for the first time. It was an incredible place. Everything was 5 star. Very friendly staff, delicious food, and the place looks beautiful. Really appreciate separated restrooms for men and women.
