Probably one of the top 10 best restaurants on South Goa, this place offers a unique menu with fish and meat cooked to almost perfect. The tenderloin steak was tender and so were the prawns. The pork chilly fry was also good. The spicy lotus stem was overfried and hard but they replaced it with a softer version. Cocktails were great, i liked one smokey gin cocktail from the gin cocktail list in the menu.

I visited this restaurant recently and had a really disappointing experience. The prawn masala I ordered was not only expensive but also tasted like it was made from frozen ingredients.The quality of the food was far below my expectations, and I left feeling unsatisfied and frustrated with the overall dining experience. This place serves amazing seafood. They don’t have a lot of varieties that you may find at other places but overall food is decently good. It’s a nice, cozy place to feast on delicious seafood preparation whilst looking at the crashing waves, with sand below your feet and breeze blowing around you. Major con - At night, although the place is calm, it turns into a lucrative zone for mosquitoes.

The dishes with bread was a complete meal though they were starters, we liked the Chanak fry and prawns. The rice and curry were subtle in taste but good. Desert mango cheesecake was yummy. The ambience on sand next to beach was nice and cool. The place was empty by 10.30 pm. Not sure on the restriction.

Loved this restaurant!! It is located right by the beach, you can enjoy the view of the beach while having food. Lots of space was available for open air parties. We ordered chicken tandoori and some rice with chicken curry. They made the chicken curry spicy also as requested by us. All items were tasty and quantity was generous. Definitely recommend if you want good food and also click a pretty picture.

Always spend a great deal of time here at the shack when in Goa, it's a must on any trip. The food is great (there is no better way to start a meal than with masala papads!), the owners are a lovely couple who go the extra mile for their customers, the staff speaks English and understand extra wishes and don't even get me started on how wonderful it is to sit inside the cool, breezy shack while the sun is burning down from the sky, looking out on the beach, hearing the sound of the water in the distance. Don't miss it!

Great place to relax whilst on the beach! Food is great! Staff is always around to help when needed. Their tables are spaced so that you have your own privacy, not sitting right next to the table next to you. Definitely a must visit place! The best for us was that they serve breakfast from about 8am!

Visited Mish-Mar Shack last week, food was awesome!! Very tasty and served without any delay. Server Rocky was very polite and helpful. The prices are also reasonable (unlike as in Baga or other beaches). If you are in Marjoda beach, this must be the shack you must visit without a second thought, Good job guys, keep it going!

Having food from beach shack is always a great experience as you get to have a fascinating view while eating and if food is also good, then you feel more happy. We had fish finger and calamari golden fry, both were very tasty and the dip given were also perfect. Would love to visit again.

We had heard very high talks about this place and hence visited to have authentic Goanese dish. We have visited the Souza lobo and other places like the Adlem Goa and have a decent idea of Goanese dish taste. But to our great disappointment, the food was not too tasty and service was also not so much good. I don't want to mark the effort of the staff as bad but in comparison to the restaurants at Goa which is my 7th visit and I have been roaming to ample restaurants, their taste and overall service was below par. And price was also very high in comparison to the food quality. Not recommended.

Hmm not great, the garlic prawns are nice but the prawn curry is like soup with a few small prawns in the bottom. Not good and I have eaten in 50 restaurants in Goa. Expensive - much better quality is at Hungry Shark in Cavelossim where I had the same meal for less money and the food was much much better.

Limited options for veg folks but then I guess it's given when you are in Goa or anywhere near the sea, for that matter. The consumer experience was well crafted - slow mellow classic music with locals also frequenting the place - that's a sure sign that the place is good. Couldn't have local food but fugaad was nice! Apart from that, we had fried rice, gobi Manchurian that were lovely as well. Paneer stire fry was strictly average. Overall, will recommend this place esp. if you are looking for a calm evening with Goan food, on the cards.

Located amongst beautiful surroundings..we loved the serenity of the place. The owner Nella was very welcoming and courteous. We had a good general conversation and she guided us with our order. They serve authentic goan food, continental and chinese. Highly recommend the crumb chicken served with chips, the squid batter fry, chilly fries. While the chicken Hakka noodles was quite tasty, the Chicken fried rice was made with boiled/fat rice which didn't go down well with everyone (but I liked it). The choice of dessert is limited. They serve homemade icecream (vanilla and coffee) and though it was tasty, it was icy. The portions are quite sufficient and the service is quick.

Great ambience and local food. It’s a Sunday afternoon and no wonder lot of locals visited the place. We been looking for a proper Goan food and we found it here. Although couple of food weren’t up to the mark but things to call out are prawns butter garlic, pork sausages chilly fry, beef fry, chicken lollipop, watermelon feta cheese and veg spring rolls. Prices aren’t high, best for a peaceful long afternoon time with friends and family. Special call-out for pineapple basil martini.

During our recent trip to Goa, we decided to dine at Johncy Seafood, a beachside restaurant located in the charming town of Benaulim. Our visit took place in the evening, and here is a detailed review of our experience: The first thing that struck us as we arrived at Johncy Seafood was its prime location, right by the beach. The setting was idyllic, with the sound of the waves in the background and the soft glow of the evening sun. The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating was comfortable, and the overall vibe was relaxed and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our visit was the live music playing in the background. The live music contributed to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We opted for a variety of dishes to get a taste of what this restaurant had to offer. The Chicken Manchow Soup was a comforting choice, with a hearty and flavorful broth. It was the perfect appetizer. Butter Naan, Cheese Garlic Naan and Garlic Naan : The bread at Johncy was absolutely delicious - soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The cheese garlic naan, in particular, was a standout with its rich, cheesy goodness. The Beef Chilly Fry was a savory and mildly spicy delight. The tender meat and well-balanced spices made it a pleasant dish. Although the Pork Vindaloo was decent, it fell short of being authentic Goan style. While it had a flavorful and tangy gravy, it lacked the depth and spiciness that characterizes traditional Goan Vindaloo. However, it wasn't a terrible dish, and some might appreciate its milder flavor. Finally the fresh lime soda was a refreshing and tangy accompaniment to our meal, especially considering the warm Goan evening. It's important to note that although Johncy is primarily known for its seafood, we did not sample any seafood dishes during this visit due to a seafood lunch earlier in the day. Nonetheless, the non-seafood options were commendable. Given its prime location and decent quality of food, the bill didn't leave us feeling like we had overindulged. Johncy offers good value for your money, which is especially appealing for budget-conscious travelers. In conclusion, Johncy Seafood in Benaulim, Goa, is a beachside restaurant that offers a pleasant dining experience. Dear Restaurant Owner, I hope this message finds you well. I recently visited your restaurant between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm and unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience. The staff's approach was very poor, as they made me feel unwelcome from the moment I entered the restaurant. The welcome was lacking in warmth and hospitality, and it seemed as though I was bothering the staff by asking for food. Furthermore, I noticed that the manager was on their mobile phone, seemingly more interested in scrolling through social media than attending to the needs of the guests. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment. The other guests around me were also unhappy with the poor service, as no water was served or even offered. I am attaching a photo for reference that shows the lack of attention and care provided to the guests. As you can see, the staff appears disinterested and unengaged with the guests. I understand that running a restaurant is a challenging endeavor, but I believe that it is essential to provide a welcoming and hospitable environment for your guests.
