Having recently moved here from a big city area that had an AMAZING food scene, we've had to temper our expectations of many restaurants as being "Redding Good" vs what we were used to back in our former home. This is the first place that just legitimately blew us away. The staff was excellent. The ambiance was perfect. The food... My goodness... The FOOD! By far, the best we've had in Redding, and would easily compete with the best restaurants across the country. It's that good. If you're looking for a date night, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not coming here.

It's pretty good food. They had also some vegan food very tasty. You should bring plenty of time because the service takes little longer. We enjoyed our dinner. They have also a good variety of wine 🍷

Hidden Gem is an overused phrase but the only one that fully captures Cafe Paradisio. Locally owned, family run, a solid but adventurous menu made with fresh ingredients prepared in the moment. Many favorites and zero misses. The missing star is from an only so-so wine selection. Plan ahead, seating is limited and regulars fill the place most nights.

This is my new favorite place in Redding! The menu options are small but creative and delicious. Every menu item came out of the kitchen piping hot! So fresh! We have the mushroom polenta appetizer. it was creamy and delicious with a tasty garlic olive oil. The garlic bread was a bit peppery for my taste but I enjoyed it. It makes you want to have a beer! Are the chicken marsala which was yummy I asked for spoon because it was nice and saucy the way I like it. My husband had the bas il penne pasta with the sausage. The waitress recommended the sausage. It's complimented the green basily sauce the penny was richly coated in. We were simply too full for dessert but the ones that came out looked good. Are ticket came to $64. the waitress well earned her tip. she knowledgeably guided us in our selections and answered questions intelligently. I will return here again and again.

Great Fish n Chips! The batter is so tasty and can be ordered light if so desired. The crinkle cut Fry's (chips) are golden and delicious. All comes to your table nice and hot. Adult dishes come with macaroni salad or coleslaw The Lighthouse is the place to go.

I recently dined at the best fish and chips eatery in Redding, CA, where you place your order at the counter, take a seat, and have your food delivered to your table. I indulged in the bread bowl clam chowder, the 3-piece fish and chips with a dipping sauce, and coleslaw on the side. Additionally, I ordered the fish sandwich, which came with fries and coleslaw. My absolute favorite was the bread bowl clam chowder. The warm sourdough bread paired with the creamy clam chowder was absolutely heavenly, and I couldn’t resist finishing the entire thing! The restaurant itself was clean and spacious, adorned with charming lighthouse decor that perfectly matched its name. The parking lot was generously sized, providing free and convenient parking. It was a fantastic dining experience with great food and fast, friendly service, and I’ll definitely return when I’m in town.

This place has the best fish in Redding! If you love onion rings, then this is the place to go! If you have never been here... let them know when you order. They give you an extra piece of fish! Excellent service and friendly staff! Enjoy!

The best part of dining at this fast food style restaurant was the nice and hot food for a change. My fish and chips came right out of the fryer none of that heat lamp junk here. And the fish was meaty and tasty as well as the fries. The condiment table was well stock with every thing you need to complete your meal, like cocktail sauce, tarter, and ketchup.

We are from out of town, looked at a couple of nice places for my 21st birthday celebration, and chose view 202. Server was wonderful, he was great with recommendations and getting us our food + drinks. only issue we had was the steak in the picture. it was undercooked and it came out all cold. they were kind and understanding with refunding and offering a free dessert. Just was expecting a nicer meal with the price of the food.

Went as a large party for a bridal shower brunch. We called like 1-2 months in advance to reserve. We got there right when they opened and got seated outside in July, which was HOT. The view outside was okaay. We were seated in a corner that they warned us when we arrived that there were spiders and spider webs. That they tried to get rid of webs as best they could. Well, their best was not enough. As we sat and waited for the server, there were spiders crawling all over us and hanging down from the ceiling. I expected more cleanliness with a restaurant being on the higher end. Especially when we called far in advance they still couldn't even clean the area for us. Goes to show how unprepared they were. When we ordered a round of shots for the whole party, they brought out shots that were very inconsistent in amount. Like it was very obvious to the point the waiter pointed it out in front of us. We had to even them out amongst ourselves. I don't understand why the bar couldn't have poured more consistent amounts when the restaurant wasn't even busy at all on a Friday brunch. Again, goes to show how careless they are. Definitely not high end restaurant worthy and definitely not worth the hype. Other than that, the food menu is pretty small. Kind of favored towards vegans/vegetarians. There were no complaints about food from our party. They forgot an appetizer we ordered.

I went there for the first time for my birthday dinner. Mariah was our waitress, she was amazing. She went through all of the gluten free options and substituted the crustini with their cauliflower pizza crust so i could have the baked brie cheese board. The no flour chocolate cake and ice cream were delicious.

The BIG REDWOOD 1LB BURGER!!!! Lumberjacks Redding CA. Took half this BURGER home for the boy. This was a good burger, everything you could want on it and they will make it however you want. It is served on a sourdough bun with pickles, tomatoes, onions, bacon and cooked well done or medium or rare if you like. Lacey got waffles with chocolate syrup that were served nice and hot. Service was awesome as well checked on us multiple times refilled our coffees as needed and made sure everything was okay.

Nice clean place,great service. Our waitress was really nice and kind and brought our food right away. The food was expensive and it was horrible. We paid 15 something for a tiny little burger and a little bit of coleslaw that tasted funny. My taco salad would have been good if the meat wasn't burnt, the meat was so burnt. It ruined the taco salad, but the mini corn dogs and the fries were good. Great portion for a little guy

The food here is good but the portions are massive and the prices are on the high side. We paid $75 for breakfast for two people. We would definitely split a plate next time. They didn’t offer us an itemized receipt so I’m not sure why it was so high. The place was mostly clean and the service was ok.

I had breakfast for dinner from the 55 plus menu. Large portion of food when compared to other restaurants. There is a definite theme to this restaurant. Good country music played so I could hear it while enjoying my dinner. My server was pleasant and attentive. The coffee was good.

Best hot chocolate hands down, tasted ahhhmazing! I got the french toast and it was just delightful. The steak was also delicious. The staff were friendly to us as well. We got the berry cobbler for a dessert and it was marvelous. The only con is that their parking lot is small, they need more parking!

Great place to go for Italian food and drinks in Redding. The eggplant Parmesan was top notch along with the spinach artichoke dip and some signature cocktails. The soup however has a lot of potatoes. The server was friendly and informative regarding places to check out around. Clean area and restrooms. Would recommend it. Plenty of parking.

Absolutely perfect. It wasn't busy so it was quiet. The food was great. Service was on top of it. The "pay at your table" kiosk was ok, it was a little finicky with my card but my card is about 3 years old. I had the Ravioli Carbonara with Chicken Fritta. My wife had the Seafood Alfredo. Both really good.

I've eaten here for decades. Prices are still reasonable, the food is very good, the endless soup and salad is always a favorite. The wait staff is usually very friendly. The ambience is not to be compared to a more expensive Italian restaurant somewhere, like Italy, where I like to go. But I would say it's pretty much as good as it can get and still serve a wide spectrum of the general public well, which it does.

This place was highly recommended to us so I had high hopes on this place. We were really looking for a good pho in the neighborhood. The pho was super salty and the boat noodles was also salty. I am not sure if it was just on the day that we went but I dont think we will ever go back again. We both just actually ate the meat and didnt finish our meal.

Food is a 5 stars . Was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and fresh food was. I ordered small Pho, very large portion, delicious only thing missing was the basil. Beans, sprouts, lime and jalapeños were all fresh. Eat all the crab wontons before I remembered to take pic. They were light, good and crispy. Also, order them lime chicken wings. They were also very good, but they did have a sweet glaze on them. I'm not a fan of sweet-and-sour or anything sweet but they were still fresh and delicious. Order the shrimp Odum which was very delicious portion were large, plenty of Shrimp cooked to perfection.

If you are visiting Redding or live in the area, please stop at this spot and enjoy your life. This food was authentic, flavorful, delicious and so filling. The restaurant has a quite environment and a family friendly atmosphere. Family and women run the business. It’s absolutely a must if you are looking for seafood, pho, noodles, and they have great side options. I mean they have french fries 🤯!!! That’s a big yes from me. We couldn’t wait for our second visit to go and see them again. We enjoyed our food and it’s super fresh and the quantity of the food is great. One serving was more than enough for my husband and I. First time we visited, we order full bowl sizes and we had leftovers for dinner the following day. The people who work there are so nice and friendly, great conversations and customers service. Parking is easy and the location is great. Can’t wait for our next trip to Redding to go again.

We heard so much about this place and we were passing by and wanted to stop here give it a try. We ordered Leiz House Special and the Boat Noodle. Leiz House Special was delicious. The broth was clear and not greasy and yet very flavorful. It leaves you with lasting memory. The ingredient complementation was well done. I would give a five star just for this dish. The Boat Noodle was alright. I have been searching for a good boat noodle and haven't found a place that does right. Being grown up in Thailand,?eating authentic Thai food, I am hard to please when it comes to Thai food. For drink we had the grass jelly and it was so good, we had to order a second. The restroom was clean and smell good. We appreciate that. The customer service was good. This is definitely on my list for revisit.

Such a lovely experience. Juana is simply super. Very friendly, super quick service and prompt. We aren't locals but we felt special with their friendliness. We always try local breakfast anytime we travel. We ordered hot chocolate, coffee , pan cakes , French toast, bacon as a side. Garden omelette id the best. Lots of veggies, white eggs, hash brown, biscuit. Please try their home made jam , the strawberry and peach. Very fresh and mouth melting.overall, food, service and atmosphere really good. Highly recommend :)

We have been here three times now over the past five and a half years since we have moved to Northern California. We often pass by Redding, and this place is absolutely a must for us to stop by and get our breakfast power. The owners are super nice and friendly, our waitress is super friendly polite and carry friendly conversations with us whenever we stop by. We have tried some of the seasonal items and some of the staple items in the menu. Everything is absolutely delicious and super yummy. The quality and quantity is so good. The prices are very reasonable. The dining area is family and friends friendly. Moderately quiet, and clean. Everything is ready for guests and they are so quick to serve. If you are local or visiting, highly recommended. Dish I was impressed by is the Huevos Con Chilies.

Wow! This was quite the find after driving all night from Portland Oregon. Great food that is fresh and biscuits baked on site. We were greeted with warm friendly faces and left with to go cups full of coffee. I couldn’t recommend a better breakfast place!!!

We were looking for a breakfast place before heading out of town. Got the breakfast tacos and the Shroom in Cali omelet. Omelet came with a big fluffy biscuit with homemade jam. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great little place with both indoor and outdoor dining.
