Really getting annoying that every time I clarify that I’m paying cash ahead of time, they send someone over who conveniently doesn’t have change. Third time in a row I haven’t gotten any change (on top of leaving a tip already). Probably the last time I’ll order and we’ve been regular customers for a year. Delivery drivers should have change and not just say they can’t make change to get the extra as a tip.

Sunday September 3rd. I treated myself to Domino's as I often do these days. The reason I treat myself to the Domino's in Port Dover Ontario as often as I do is because of 2 reasons: 1) The incredible quality of the pizza. 2) The service. Namely a young gentleman (I put an emphasis on GENTLEMAN) named Vikvl. He always makes a point to not only be friendly but also to see to it that your order is ready right when you need it. I don't normally agree to do surveys like this. The reason I took the time was to highlight this young man's work. To all of the Port Dover Domino's employees, KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK!

Fricken amazing! Had the fried chicken dinner w chicken strips it was really tasty breaded just right and well seasoned the chicken was super moist and the shack chips were phenomenal! The slaw was super tasty and complimented the whole dish definitely need to check them out

This place is a hidden gem! We went to the Pontoon by fluke as the restaurant we wanted to check out originally was closed. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the quantity of food Pontoon presented to us. On the outside, this place might look like a medicor small-town diner. However, we can reassure you that you will adore this little eatery as much as we did! We ordered the French legs, which is basically whole chicken legs with the bottom part of the legs deboned and flipped to the top. Then the legs were breaded and fried. We had the garlic pepper sauce to go with the legs. The crust was super crispy. The meat was juicy, tender, and impeccably seasoned. The garlic pepper sauce was bursting with a great balance of aroma and flavors. The chicken sandwich is a must-try. Sandwiched between aromatic saseme buns, the succulent piece of meat was wrapped in crunchy and flavourful breading of right thickness. Again, Pontoon nailed this dish. We also ordered a salad that was fresh, with a good mix of seasonal greens and refreshing dressing. We are very satisfied with this place. One recommendation would be to forgo the disposables to save the environment.

Gosh darn good chicken strips — wish I got a pic of em with the awesome dips the guy brought out – bbq, some awesome slow-creepin hot sauce, and black pepper + garlic? So tender, perfectly seasoned, paired w a great, cold crisp beer (landshark lager) and a seat in the shade. What more could you want after a day on the pier. Oh yea!

Had a delicious lunch at the Pontoon Patio Bar in Port Dover. Ordered a selection of the dips, babaganoush, whipped feta, tapenade, hummus, spinach and artichoke, romensco and French onion dip. The portions were very generous and delicious. We had a veggie basket and tacos and bread to dip with. The restaurant sits above the street and we enjoyed the view as we dined. The service was excellent and we are already planning our next trip back there.👏🏻

Called before they were open and they called me back without me even leaving a message, took my order and it was ready by the time they opened for business.... now that's what I call great service, had the shackwich with slaw and I have to say it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I'm not a fan of coleslaw but man did it ever compliment the sandwich. 5 star will be back for more and with others.

Great outdoor patio, lots of space, the fish taco was amazing. We also tired the chicken dinner and perch dinner and they both were amazing. It was lively and full of patrons. A good place to enjoy meal with your friends and family. Definitely try the perch items on the menu.

Took a drive to Port Dover... while there grabbed lunch at Fisherman's Catch Restaurant. As it was a nice day, we sat on the patio. It's a good size with tables seating from 2 to 6 people. As parking is a premium in town, it's nice to know this restaurant has its own parking lot. To enter, take the street past the restaurant. Turn left and turn at the one-way sign. The food was good. And our waitress was nice and efficient. I had the perch dinner with fries and onion rings. It was a bit pricey for what you get... but you are paying for the location. It is only one block from the beach. Would I go back....you bet ya ! I added pics of the surrounding area in addition to the restaurant.

Enjoyed the fish here very much and the service was fine but I am not one that likes or celebrates Halloween so all the disturbing decor was a turn off for me. Guess i will just not visit in Octobers.

I had the Perch and Pickering dinner. The staff was great but the food wasn’t. Both the fish items were over cooked and dry. Didn’t enjoy the food at all, sadly.

Wanted to try pizza hut because there are not a lot of options in Dover. The service was good the pizza was cooked well but the price is more expensive than the other options like Domino's or harbor pizza.

Purchased from Pizza Hut on move in day and have been returning ever since! Friendly staff and delicious food and desserts. Sometimes I hear people complain about the price - not sure why when there are always great specials and the product and service are A+. On Valentine's/Galentine's Day, hubby was working and my best gal was over, so I wanted to surprise her with a heart shaped pizza. Even though Pizza Hut doesn't normally do this....check out the effort on behalf of the staff - and a Happy Valentine's message to boot! Thank you Pizza Hut...I'm a customer for as long as your doors are open!

Such a cute spot, right in the heart of Dover. I was fortunate to spend a night here while working a wedding in early September. Had a smaller room on the backside of the motel; nice, comfortable, clean room. Everyone was friendly and so helpful. Perch dinner was wonderful. Would love to stay here again in the summertime.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodated us with short notice. The rooms were cozy, comfortable and clean. We found the location great since it was only a short walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. The restaurants on site were also good. The gardens were quite impressive making it welcoming coming back to the hotel. I highly recommend staying here and would stay again on our next visit to Port Dover.

We were so impressed at the cleanliness of our room. It didn't have any amenities , but comfortable nonetheless. AC worked great (mid August). Friendly front desk service made us feel so welcome. Hope, in their downstairs restaurant, seemed above and beyond... Even offered to take our glasses & leftover wine upstairs.

I travelled on a day trip with a Seniors Club. The appearance of the Hotel was lovely. The tables were set very nice. The salads were enjoyed by most BUT the main was extremely disappointing !!! The Perch was well OVER cooked and the Chips also very poor. The Roast Beef was VERY DRY and served with Chips. Did not look appetizing at all. The food would not encourage me to go back.

Step back in time at the Erie Beach Hotel. Has that 60s/70s beach front motel vibe. It's not luxurious but the beds are comfy and the hotel is super clean and tidy. Food is great, the terrace restaurant is lovely for an evening meal. Staff and management are friendly and helpful. And it's 2 minutes from the beach.

Unfortunately this restaurant is very mediocre and extremely expensive. I had the Peach Beach and it was $10 for mostly ice. We all got the perch and it was very disappointing, it was extremely bland and barely battered and there wasn’t much sauce given. It is not really traditional fried fish and chips. There is barely any batter and you even have to pay extra for a side like the fries… the only thing worth going back for is the celery bread, it was absolutely amazing, but even that was an extra $2 for each piece haha. Overall, a bill of $80 for 2 ppl who didn’t even get an appetizer is extreme especially when the food is lacklustre.

Great family dinner. They set us up in a private room we were a party of 10 adults two children. We decided to do our Christmas dinner at a restaurant this year and we're very glad we did thank you very much Cove you did a fantastic job! I'm not sure of our waitresses name but she did a fantastic job super friendly very attentive and we were very happy to have her wait on our table thanks again!!

Market Rant
Nothing kicks off the start of summer better than an Arbor Dog and a slurp of Golden Glow. A timeless classic. That said, the town certainly seems to have grayed considerably. Fortunately, the hot dog remains unchanged as there ain't too many new tricks walking by the picnic table area. In fact, the dining area seems more of an outdoor seniors centre as Dover continues its transformation into a retirement town. Definitely, a wonderful walk down memory lane tho. Highly recommend.

Going to The Arbor in Port Dover is a little like going to the House of Commons or the Plains of Abraham or any other location of great historical significance: it doesn't matter what the day or conditions is like, what matters is that you're at The Arbor! Great hot dogs and great French fries, but more importantly, a great location with long and deep memories for several generations. Highly recommended!

I ordered a cheeseburger the bun tasted a bit dry. Condiments use at your own risk. The spoon was laying in the relish. The employees are younger and very friendly. You have to get your fries at another window which is more waiting. Overall it was just ok

Ordered a foot long and a large frie. The fries were good but the hot dog was just your average dog. Nothing special with spices or anything. The food is good but the drinks were hella expensive. Tons of condiments though for your fixings.
