5-star for a local small town Steakhouse, but closer to 4-star in my general experience. The staff were friendly, not that busy for a weekday lunch, but still seemed popular with locals. Stone frying Fillet Mignon Steak was a great experience to cook your steak the way you like, but a bit salty meat for my taste. Seafood Fettuccine was good. We loved the French Onion Soup! Pricing was very reasonable. Service needed a bit of improvement. If you're in the area, I recommend trying it

We were in the area for our 24th Anniversary. Misty and Lot 88 made it a memorable night. We had a reservation and were quickly seating. The place was packed! Even with that, the service was great. The food is an experience on its own, especially with the 650° grill plate. If you're there for steak, I highly recommend doing it this way. They serve your steak to you rare on the plate which sits on top of a cutting board to not burn the table. The faster you slice into it and the more pieces you slice off the faster it's going to cook. So if you like well done steak that's the way to do it. If you're like me and like medium rare or taking your time eating, I highly recommend leaving it as a slab on the hot plate and just slicing off a piece and searing it every time you're going to eat it. We don't drink. They made us a couple of mocktails that were fantastic. Blueberry mojitos! Deserve was an incredible experience as they shocked us. We thought they had forgotten about our anniversary but they did not. We will definitely be back!

I will start by saying the food was good and server friendly. I didn't like however the lighting; it was dull and hard to see properly any menu. My husband and I ordered the surf and turf which was presented very nicely. I would have liked the option of having my food cooked for me (not cook it yourself) because that is why I choose to go out and not stay home to make my own dinner. For the price I paid it should have been an option. The dessert made up for my let down.

First time being here and would definitely be back! Steak served on stone so you can cook each bite to your liking! Had the deep fried mashed potatoes - was very good. A cross between a perogy and a spring roll. Also had the stuffed mushroom caps and they were amazing (very hot - might wanna wait a minute for it to cool!) Service was spectacular and we will definitely be back.

Great service, our waitesss was very genuine and pleasant. There was Live music. Food was ok. I had the squash ravioli- comes with 6 pieces of ravioli in a delicious sauce. Also 2 pieces of garlic bread, probably about the size and portion of the bowl itself. It's unnecessary and doesnt go well with a creamy sauce. Lot 88 Burger was mediocre. Nothing special. I'd probably give it another try.

During our trip, Theon’s was recommended to us by a fellow tourist at our hotel. Busy establishment, but enough seating to take us in as a walk in. I would recommend reserving if possible. Food was fantastic - recommend the grilled cheese sandwich! Food portions were great! Left full, with leftovers to take! Francine took take of us and was pleasant and kind!

It has to be good because unfortunately, I am not easily pleased when it comes to eating out at a restaurant. I know most restaurants will not live up to my expectations therefore, I’m not often disappointed. The service was great and the food was deliciously prepared and my wife and I really liked the flatbread. It was almost like a pizza. We drove into it so quickly that we couldn’t get a chance to take a picture of it. I returned a game today and had the dish that my wife had the last time. It did not disappoint.

Very close to being a 5 star restaurant, just the pasta sauce was a little too thin, the Caesar salad had way too much sauce, and the atmosphere needs a little something extra. Very affordable and I would recommend this place to anyone travelling through Orillia

Gorgeous place! Everything from the greeting at the door to the paying of the bill was a wonderful experience! Great variety of dishes and very cozy atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the food, even the kids (pasta of course, and a great bonus - ice cream with every kids meal!) Would definitely recommend and come back myself to try other dishes!

I loved this place very much! We had dinner after a day at the spa, the perfect restaurant if you want home-cooked food. The waitress Lauryn was very helpful in recommending the dishes to us; she was knowledgeable and friendly. We had Chicken Ceasar Wrap, Kalamari rings, Breaded pickles, and Striploin steak with mushrooms and onions. We also had a few drinks too. Cozy atmosphere and fantastic food. I strongly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Decent place if you're passing through. Lots of seating available, and service was good. Only issue is it seems there was a lack of kitchen staff that day (Monday around 1pm), and the food took quite a while to show up (almost 45 minutes after ordering) despite there being only 4 or 5 other patrons. Food was decent, nothing you'd crave, but decent especially if you're hungry. We had the camp burger, and it was a bit dry. Still would recommend if you're in the area. It has good atmosphere and plenty of seating.

Today we had lunch at the grill for the first time. 6 of us. From 3 years old to 68. Everyone ordered something different yet the food was ready in a more than acceptable time. Our server was very attentive. They seated us in an area where the 3 year old wouldn’t bother other guests and it gave us our space. We got there at 2. If we were there earlier we probably wouldn’t get this bonus. We all highly recommend this place and will be back. Great food. Great service. Fair prices.

We went to The Sunken Ship Tropical Bar for my Bachelorette! We were blown away by the Tropical decor everywhere. The food was amazing! They have amazing live music. A reggae band was playing when we went. The owners and staff were so nice! They even made sure we made it back to our hotel safe. They care about every customer that comes through their door.

A very pleasant atmosphere and we had great fun at one of their Hawaiian themed outdoor evenings.They have the greatest staff and some amazing fancy themed cocktails.Our only wish was that the food was a bit tastier and hotter (temperature).It felt like the food might have been prepared too far in advance and the serving dishes with heaters underneath were not cutting it. The people who own this restaurant are fantastic cooks so we know it could be better.

The place has a really cool location on Main Street in orillia. From outside you see that the owner out a lot of thought and energy on it. Every little piece of decoration was well thought. Each detail makes it really unique. Plenty of space outside. Some cool areas for groups. There is also a bar outside that looks really awesome like you were in a catamaran bar party. The price is not the cheapest. But also not super expensive. I think for the reality today is fair. The service was over the moon. The lady that served us was really really nice. Drink came quickly. Totally recommend and will go back to try other drinks food and the events. Apparently they have some Hawai dancers. Buffet and other stuff during some and winter there are some dedicated events as well. Will post some pictures of the menu and the place. Stop there if you are around you won’t regret. Also if you search on Waze will tell that the place is closed and I called Thamires just ignore that. We almost gave up on going because of this.

LOVED the outdoor patio cabanas! Atomosphere was on point, music had chill beachy vibes. The burger was probably the best I've ever had, and the drinks were amazing! We can't wait to go back again! A hidden gem!

Had the turkey Dinner and the turkey was dry, the cranberry sauce was awful. My daughter ordered the fish and chips which was a greasy mess and looked like the fryer oil hasn't been changed recently. She sent it back and ordered a cinnamon roll and it was hard as a rock. We literally had to hit up the McDonald's on the way home so she could have something to eat. On the plus side the atmosphere is nice and the server was very pleasant. The Ceasars salad was good and the beer was cold.

Clearly not a regular reviewer, but I was informed this place had very good food. New’ish chef, and I want the word to get out. I had a small Caesar salad, fresh, tasty, but not heavy. The chicken cordon bleu was fabulous. Grilled vegetables were hot, crisp and well-seasoned. Chicken was nicely browned, and juicy inside. Terri, was friendly and very attentive. Great experience.

I took my family here for Easter Brunch after having such wonderful experiences here in the past (albeit probably 5 or so years ago). Brunch was $45pp which I thought was pricey but the restaurant’s ambiance was nice and I remembered the food being amazing. Not so this time. There were 10 of us and when we arrived I was disappointed to be seated, not in the restaurant, but in one of the hotel conference rooms. It felt like a rotary club meeting. The massive tables had centrepieces from the dollar store. That aside, I was hopeful for the food. We had 1pm reservations and the food was TERRIBLE. The Eggs Benedict were hard as rocks and the hollandaise dried up. They had been sitting so long that the English muffins were literally crusted to the chafing dish. I asked for fresh ones and was brought another full chafing dish of eggs in the same condition. They had to have been under the warming lamp for hours. The Mac and cheese and rotini fell to the same fate of being way overdone. Both pasta dishes were mush - yet another victim of hours under heat lamps. The bacon was hard and dried out. The desserts, from a box. The only saving grace was our server David who was a doll. We never said anything while we were there as my family and I were all together to enjoy ourselves. I tried to email them first but their website is ‘under construction’ and I never leave bad reviews but our bill was over $600 with tip and I was embarrassed for suggesting this place to my family. None of us will be coming back to The Grape and Olive again. I’d leave no stars if I could.

Great hidden gem in Orillia for delicious and flavourful Indian food. The goat biryani is delicious and staple dishes like palak paneer, butter chicken and chana masala are done well. Portions will last 2-3 meals so worth the price. Definitely call ahead as it can take up to an hour for the order to be ready, but it's worth it!

Really happy to see the Indian cuisine taken over by new owners.. The food is really tasty, good customer service, well neat . Sad that I wasn't able to enjoy the dine in due to the pandemic. Good if they have patio dine-in or outside seating. Looks really great 👍..Price is also decent and worth it.

This food is so good that my tastebuds cannot comprehend how good it is. I have been craving some good chana masala and thought I might have to go to Barrie to find it but thank god this place was just up the road from me. Eat here. Just do it. Generous portions and delicious food. Highly recommend the chicken korma as well as the chai. Takeout only, but so so worth it.

We had lunch here during the week while on vacation and it was fabulous. It was a bit cold on the patio so we ate inside. I had the gourmet grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and it was fantastic. Also had a long island iced tea. Wow. They make excellent drinks. Our server was great. Fun and very attentive. Loved the whole vibe as they played music catered to our "age." Brought back lots of memories. Washrooms were clean. Would definitely go there again if in the area and would highly recommend.

LOVE the ascetic of this fine establishment. I got the beef dip sandwich, which left a bit to be desired. The meat was leaning more on the tough side and the flavour wasn’t quite where it needed to be, but the fries and gravy were very good. Everyone at my table loved what they ordered. Our waitress was pretty good given it being such a busy day. I’ll definitely be back to give it another try. I would recommend.

Great service! I was also surprised with how good the quality of food was considering the price. The portion sizes were also generous and everything had nice flavour. Definitely recommend! I got the coconut shrimp, fish tacos, and the kitchen sink burger.

We were in Orillia for a concert and stopped by Brewery Bay for dinner. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. Our server was very personable and attentive. Timing impeccable and all meals delivered together. Great atmosphere and appears to be a popular Friday night hang out. Will definitely stop by again.

The menu doesn't stray much from typical brew pub fare...nothing really unique or interesting, but our food was fresh and tasty, came out quickly, was plentiful, and our server was helpful and friendly. I was only a bit disappointed in there being nothing really interesting on tap...something local maybe? Since it's got "Brewery" in its name?
