I held my White Hyena book launch at the Marathon last Friday. About 40 of us stayed after to eat. Everyone LOVED the food! Both veg and non-veg. Great atmosphere - just like being in Addis - lovely to sit round sharing large plates. Thank you to Girimesh, Ayeni and Amanuel! Fantastic evening and highly recommended!

Clear, easy to read menu which I appreciated as I've only had Ethiopian a few times before. Food I had was very nice. And big for the price - the portions were larger than I expected and £18 worth of a main and a side was two person size.

Wonderful anniversary lunch! So much flavour in everything we ordered! Staff were super helpful, and we even had a free taste of one of the plates that we’d seen the chefs preparing for other diners! Lovely touch. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent middle eastern food, atmosphere and service! We were sat opposite the open kitchen where you can see all the actions happening! very fun. Modern take on Middle eastern cuisine done well with loads of flavours which complement each other and not overpowering. All the breads and dips are delicious, get them all! Salad is very fresh and tasty. Surf clams and artichoke heart is a must. Octopus and Poussin are excellent! Also has a good wine selection and cocktails. highly recommend!

Great place for a special occasion. Menu is very original and everything was delicious. Loved the cocktails and the wine selection. Staff was great and the place is beautiful, perfect for pictures. Ended up spending about 180£ for 2 people.

Food was great. But they messed up our order so after starters didn’t get anything for an hour. After raising, got a dish we didn’t order. After raising it again, got one of our mains and we cancelled the other as we wanted to leave. They then gave us free dessert. But a £9 dessert won’t quite make up for it when we paid ~£130 even without the second main. Shame as staff was otherwise friendly and food was good.

Excellent service and friendly chefs. I highly recommend their bread. Beattie, the chef was a delight. I absolutely loved their bread and the pear ice cream. Great servers as well. Will try their chicken the next time, it’s quite a large dish and should be shared by two.

Had a small party with friends and family. Firstly, get the Long Island. It's delicious and packs a good punch. So I had 3 starters because they do an average £20 for 4 small plates. So it made sense to go that route. My main was the Surf and Turf, for some reason I thought it was Tiger Prawns, but it was King prawns/ Shrimps (the little brother 😂) Friends had the Burger, Coal Block, Lamb rump,etc. The setting is okay, not much one can say about that.

I still cannot get over the fact that I was charged £10 for one tinniest bit of scallop and one prawn!!😳 I chose to have a surf and turf where you could add prawns and scallops (note the seafood words in plural) for an additional £10. I actually chose the 10oz steak thinking I was going to be served some scallops and some prawns with it. Only for the food to arrive with the one overcooked prawn and a tiny overcooked scallop served on a shell. Questioned is this it? Waitress was just like, that’s the way it comes. Really? Rip off beyond imagination. Perhaps I was paying for the shell?! Food was ok. Meat wasn’t medium rare as recommended, more close to well done, but I didn’t mind. Went for the coal baked garlic potatoes with my meal but it was just boiled new potatoes drizzled with a bit of oil. Agree with others that the service was slow and unprofessional and there was no real vibe, but I was in good company so didn’t matter. Bill came to about £130 with drinks for two and reluctantly left a tip as service charge wasn’t included on the bill.

The most disgusting food ever. We have few cocktails not amazing and we decided to order some food, waiyed for more than 30 min and got cold and badly made chips paod £6. They brought warmer ones and the sauce on top was acid and disgusting.

The cocktail selection at hicce is equally impressive, and we were blown away by their outstanding concoctions. The Pictish Martini quickly became a personal favorite, showcasing the mixologist's skill in crafting unique and delicious drinks. A special mention goes to our waiter, Ruth. Her exceptional service and attention to detail truly enhanced our dining experience. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time.

Came here on a Sunday with a friend for lunch. I had made a reservation in advance seeing how many reviews this place has got so I assumed it would have been packed on a Sunday but it was literally empty apart from one table outside. We went with the cold mix mezze as a starter and it was fantastic. It came with 5 types of dips essentially and some seasoned pita bread on the side which was so so delicious. Bread was soft and fluffy and went well with the hummus, baba ghanoush, cacik, tabbouleh and braised aubergine. Then for mains, we went for the lamb skewers with rice and the chicken in yoghurt sauce with croutons. Again, both were super delicious and flavourful. Lamb was cooked to perfection, soft and tender and super well-marinated which went well with the rice. Chicken was juicy and tender also and the tomato and yoghurt sauce was so moreish I kept dipping the lamb into the sauce too. Interesting ingredient choice of croutons in the chicken dish which added more crunchy texture to the dish and made it fun to eat. Service was good but I won't say outstanding, staff were nice and friendly. I loved the interior design with the modern choice of pink chairs and glasses on wooden tables. It's very stylish yet it feels cosy at the same time. Can see it being a great date location too. Would be happy to come back soon!

Turkish in London which isn’t Halal, so I decided to get the Cauliflower which I was really disappointed with, I had to drench it with the sauce, which actually was really nice, just to get some flavour. The fish my friend ordered was very nice but nothing really wow. I won’t be going back, the staff weren’t attentive and I didn’t feel like it was worth the money.

Visited for a team lunch (11 persons) we pre-ordered the starters and mains so everything went very smoothly. Amazingly I think it was all cooked by 1 chef ! And the place was busy. This place brings you to Thailand! very tasty food and we got try new flavours. Most of the dishes are quite strong in fish sauce or spice, even dishes without spice signs have a hint of spice. The fried sea bass was the star, filleted and debonned for you, no messiness. Crispy skin and flaky meat. Also highly recommend the sweetcorn fritters, the fried Thai basil aniseed like taste definitely awakens your taste buds. The restaurant is fairly small, quite tight tables, but the staff are all really friendly. Recommend to book in advance. I will definitely be returning with friends who can handle spice.

We've tried a lot of Thai food in the past. So it was a lovely surprise to have so many interesting dishes on the menu, which are rare to find. This restaurant focuses on southern Thai cuisine. All the dishes we had were really tasty! One highlight was the flavor packed crispy rice salad and the super tender pork belly.

Would’ve given a 4.5 for the excellent starters and mains, especially the Thai squid, the green curry and the morning glory. Unfortunately really let down by dessert as we didn’t like either of the pandan desserts. Good service and good drinks. The decor is beyond stunning, would come back just for that.

An utterly charming, authentically Thai neighborhood restaurant! We came for dinner and were happily seated in the beautiful flower shop, which is only available in the evenings. Everything we ate was incredible - special mention goes to the stuffed chicken wings, cotton fruit and prawn curry, and the mango and sticky rice. I loved the fact that there were unfamiliar dishes and ingredients you don’t normally find in mainstream Thai restaurants - like cotton fruit - and you could get to know more diverse foods than just the standard pad that. Chili levels were also authentic so beware if you are intolerant to spice. Service was friendly and dishes came out quite quickly, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was lively. Make sure to make a booking as it gets very busy and there’s often a line; you’re likely to find me in it again soon!

Found this place when searching for something to eat near my hotel. Was able to make a reservation and get seated right away when I arrived just before my time slot. The staff were all so very friendly and attentive. Definitely much better than half of the restaurants we've been to in London so far. Maybe coming from America where it's all about service has given us high expectations but this place surely shined!! The food here was amazing!! If you are with a group I definitely recommend getting the feast!! It's superb!!

I am admittedly hard to please with food because i love it so much. This place took all i knew about Greek food and threw it out the window. I'd say it gave me a newfound love for the cuisine. Clean ingredients, large portions, and a house red that would pair well with Cheerios!!! Take a bow. My first meal in London for my 44th birthday was beyond satisfactory. I'm so glad i chose not to have the chicken gyro. And whoever said that British eateries were bland should visit this place. No salt required.
