Original concept and fun affordable dining experience. 1 of the 3 offered menus was vegetarian with 7 dishes. Very rare to find a an all vegetarian menu. Interesting mixtures of flavors that I would never have thought to combine. Creative designs with aesthetic assemblages.

Amazing meal! Friendly and helpful waitstaff. Under new management since January, this place is already great. They do brassiere standards with a modern, Asian inspired twist. The Thai chef and French pastry chef ensure an amazing culinary experience. I had the turbot and my wife had the duck. Both were excellent and different than the expected fare. They are serving brunch starting this week and will be open all day. If dinner is any indication, brunch will also be amazing. I little spendier than other restaurants, but very much worth the extra money. They are head and shoulders above anything we've eaten our our trip so far.

Order lobster bisque & fusilli with beef ragout. As shown it’s a ravioli with lobster stuffing but the broth was full of seafood flavour so you will enjoy it to the last drop. Pace with the bread as it’s really that flavourful. The beef was super amazing, highly recommend it! Environment and service was classy and comfy ~ WC friendly! Love it. Highly recommend.

I arrived into Luxembourg around 6pm, this restaurant was a short walk from the Sofitel hotel I was staying, fortunately they have a table for 1 unannounced. The service from the staff was warm and welcoming, unfortunately coming from Australia I don’t speak anything other than English, whilst feeling uncomfortable at some establishments this was not the case here. The food was simple yet delicious, over the past week I have eaten at many restaurants where the food appeared pretentious yet lacks any real body, this certainly was not the case here. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you want a fantastic wholesome meal and I believe to be excellent value.

Absolutely amazingly experience and food. Loved the interior design of the restaurant, service was the best i ever had. I chose set lunch menu (and some local wine) and got way more than expected. Absolutely recommend.

As expected, the quality and the service were outstanding. They have an impressive wine list which features local wines that you cannot find in stores as well as international classics. The sommelier is experienced and knowledgeable. We were there for a birthday celebration and they pulled out all the stops. Will definitely be coming again.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Great hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful desserts. I recommend it to everyone! I can come back again and again. And love the small chair for my bag :)

Upmarket venue, suited for functions such as weddings and the like, but small enough for two. Set menu is the order of the day. Licensed and situated next to the old brewery. It is situated on the 3rd floor with great views. The decor is trendy and elegant. Thd staff was very helpful. It's wheelchair friendly with a lift access to all floors.

I dined here 8 years ago, and was so disappointed this time. The food was variable, a terrible amuse bouche which was so salty, to a fabulous risotto. There were only 2 other tables with diners, so the atmosphere was awful, but the main reason for marking a 2 was the service: I asked for table water and was made to feel very uncomfortable by the waiter (environment grounds), and was provided a tiny jug which had to refilled 4 times during the dinner. The first 'jug' of water contained 2 flies, no apology offered. When presented with 2 dishes, no explanation of what the dishes were (I am an English speaker, but can understand some French). This place really needs to stop being so pretentious, and focus on the customer.

Outstanding restaurant. Went for lunch, all the food was very fresh and of the highest quality. The dishes had different textures, and got free homemade bread for starters and dessert bites at the end. The wine was also exceptional. Did not have to wait long at all for food, which is impressive considering how labour intensive the dishes are. Waiters are very professional, and explained the dishes in English (it's not the native language, and the fancy french names are hard to translate, so this was pretty cool) Really worth the price, and will be back if I'm in the area.

We come here from time to time to sit on their terrace and it’s never disappointing. Whether for a juicy burger, a salad or just some drinks. Generally service is friendly and attentive. Try not to sit under a tree as the risk of getting pooped on by a bird is rather high!

Place de Paris always has charme and La Fontaine has become a good alternative for lunch. Great international service and good dishes allthough not the cheap end. Most important! The kitchen doesn't close at 14.00.

Staff were pleasant enough, but the food was not. I had a 'Steak' with egg, bacon and chips. The steak turned out to be a burger which just crumbled to pieces, the bacon was inedible due to being burnt. Chips in a wire basket went cold quickly as we sat outdoors. All in all, good service, poor food.

DO NOT go there!!! According to bartender, they have different owner and new menu since Jan. 2023, so most of the dishes shown on Google Map are no longer provided. As you can see the fries is different. Ordered Escargots (10 Euro) for hot starter, the presentation is dull and the taste is quite normal. Main course is Veau a la Zurichoise (25 Euro), very disappointed. Veau is dry, quite less mushroom and the color is BROWN! Ain't it supposed to be cooked with cream!? Even "light cream" is written in their menu. Called bartender foe this and he claimed the brown color is Luxembourg style. Are you kidding me or what? The only good thing in this meal is beer.

Absolutely quality! The older gentleman who served us (Gave my partner the pizza menu) you are absolutely phenomenal. You have an outstanding gift, ability to read the room and deliver exceptional service. Food was equally devine, we shared a seafood starter, followed by pasta and ravioli. My missus did not stop going on about how good the starter was. 100 percent recommend if you visit Luxembourg! Grazie!

Typical Italian restaurant. Staff is friendly and speak English. Food is very good. The decoration is unique. It was very hot inside the restaurante and there are no fans or airco.

Very nice menu choices and lovely staff. Highly suggested for lunch time as the starter+main plate+water/wine is €25 providing good quality for the price paid. I would suggest the pasta based plates over the meat or fish dishes as they have a more rich flavor and overall are more satisfactory from a taste perspective. The dinner menu seems a bit pricy for the plates that we tasted during lunch time, however it remains a nice restaurant for the lunch time. UPDATE: Recently came back for a second time during lunch time and it was even better than the first time.

we loved the food at Ristorante Essenza! They really surprised us! 😊 Giuseppe (the owner?) was extemely nice! And from sicily! (Posted a pic with him!) He treated us suuuper well and we’ll definitely come back. Listen to the recommendations of the house! We loved it! Price/food relation is incredible so really recommend coming here! We ate outside and loved seeing everyone pass by during a fantastic lux summer night.

We really enjoyed our evening at Essenza. We had the most polite and attentive waiter in a long time. We ordered a plate of tomato/mozzarella/burrata for starters, which was already unbelievably good. For our main we had ravioli with ricotta and parmesan cheese sauce and a plate of king prawns with roasted vegetables. The restaurants sommelier recommended us a wine for our main course which fitted perfectly. The whole experience was just very relaxing and beautiful while sitting in the heart of Luxembourgs old town.

We weren't sure what to expect when we decided to go here for dinner. The restaurant was quite empty when we reached. The servers were quite welcoming. The menu was mostly in French with English descriptions. However, nowhere is it mentioned in English that the items are all crepes. Headlines in English would have been quite helpful. Anyway, the waitress explained everything and suggested dishes. We ordered as per her suggestions and they were great. The crepes were awesome. We have never had anything like that before. They were delicious. The prices were quite reasonable given the fact that other restaurants were more pricey in the area. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area and have a taste for crepes. I wish we had enough appetite to try the crepe desserts. I am sure they'll be great too. Maybe next time.

Good food, a bit pricey but you get a lot of toppings with the galettes. If I could change one thing it would be that there was a bit too much pepper on the salmon galette but to each their own! Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving crepes and galettes.

The crepes and service were good. We haven't had a savory crepe in a while so we decided to give this place a shot. The mushroom and ham crepe was great, a good texture on from the crepe and flavor from the ingredients. The salmon crepe was good, however parts of the crepe were slightly burnt and the salmon was supposed to have a slight Siracha flavor which was missing. Overall, not a bad place to have that savory crepe.
