It’s expensive, the portions are on the smaller size, and it’s not particularly innovative. But overall, it’s still solid. High quality food prepared very well, with absolutely impeccable service in a beautiful environment. I wouldn't return because I don’t think the price point matches the quality, even considering the premium for its location. Also, $26 cocktails are INSANE. That’s more expensive than Carbone on South Beach… and this place is far from that level of quality.

My friend and I enjoyed a great meal with a nice view. We waited a bit after being seated to meet our waiter and the restaurant bought us a drink to say sorry. That was super classy and above and beyond. With service so exceptional, it's a must eat restaurant when in the area. The salt sampler with the warm bread is worth the visit alone!

OMG, I cannot say enough about this restaurant!! We went for my sister birthday and got the private chef table and it was a set menu by the chef. He came in and explained each dish. Everything was absolutely delicious. What an awesome experience!

This is favorite place to eat on Amelia Island. I've eaten here 3 times now on various visits. Pros: • Food is great — Fave Entree is the Hanger Steak with Rice (Highly Recommend) — Fave Starter the Mussels (Highly Recommend) • Rarely ever any waiting to be seated (even though always packed) • Drinks are pretty good and well priced • The Staff is kind, professional and have a personal touch • Live Music and each performer has been a hit • Sports bar section has plenty of seating, drinks and TVs • Has Kid's Menu • Kid friendly — They were always good to our kids • Restrooms are clean and well stocked • Pretty centralized to the heart of Amelia Island's boutique/shopping/dining district • Location is about 2 blocks from the water Thoughts: I've sat outdoors and indoors at Boat House. Very different experiences. Try both. No Cons at the moment.

A great place to sit outside, enjoy delicious cocktails and wonderful food! The staff was amazing and made excellent suggestions. We were headed to The Palace so we didn't want to over eat and not be able to drink. 😀 We had starters, cocktails and the recommended special which was a generous portion of the chefs twist on paella. Dog friendly and tons of outdoor seating.

Where do I even begin?! I decided to dine at The Boat House after being unimpressed with some other adjacent locations. I arrived right before open and was immediately greeted and offered a choice to sit inside or outside. The service I received throughout from Janelle was snappy and friendly! My food arrived hot and fresh within minutes of ordering. I ordered their special that night, a Coconut Fish and Shrimp dish. When it arrived the presentation alone was enough to make me want to return! The flavors were incredible with an appropriate portion size. I ordered desert and again was stunned with the promptness and presentation! The cherry on top was the tasteful live music outside! I cannot recommend coming here enough if you want an incredible meal that won't break the bank considering what you're getting. I was delighted by the entire experience and will definitely be returning!

Was in town visiting and walking through down town. Heard some great live music and decided to sit on the outdoor patio bar area. Great location for outside sunny days with a huge patio some shaded some open. The indoor seating available and great for those rainy occasions. On our visit the sun was shining it was hot so sitting at the patio bar was perfect! Fans and friendly bar staff made it worth it. Good drink options and food menu and outdoor area pet friendly. All in all good place for time with friends and family. CHEERS!!

Had a nice lunch. Great for a quick bite or a whole meal. Decent food and quality service. There was more shell in the lobster roll and the calamari and crabby burger was more greasy than preferred but still pretty tasty. Outdoor seating in beautiful downtown. Always a pleasure.

This place is great. The food tastes great, is SUPER reasonable, and comes out super fast. Somehow, two lobster rolls is only 19 dollars! They also have metal souvenir cup with unlimited refills that’s only 1$ more than the plastic, non refillable cup. A great place to bring family and friends 👍

This was our first stop in town, and it was the perfect light lunch. It was quite popular and difficult to find a seat. I opted for a salad as a wrap, and it was full of color and flavor. Check out the photo! I particularly enjoyed the hush puppies as a side. The only downside is that there are no mixed drinks. That's their other location.

Awesome seafood off the town mainstream. Food is delicious outside seating only and great. Kids area to play. It is not huge, so seating may be challenging, especially on weekends. But it is so good you can take it to go and find a park to enjoy. Go during the week like I did.

We had a great family dinner here! Margaritas were delicious. Guacamole was excellent and the dishes were great. It is very noisy and hard to hear and that is why I gave a 4 for atmosphere. Olivia was an amazing server!!!

Overall our experience was good. Our waitress (who's tables were inside) was gracious enough to grab our table outside since the waiters on the patio didn’t speak to us for over 20 minutes. The food was good and the original wait to be seated was under 30 minutes. The food was good and I’d go back. They had the best blood orange margarita on the island. I ordered to go and the entire process was a disaster. From rude staff to incorrect orders. I ordered three orders of Baja fish tacos with extra of all toppings on the side. The employee who was taking my order confirmed it with me two times. I got home with the food and the only thing on the fish tacos was the fish. All toppings were on the side (not extra, as asked for) and there was no pico de gallo at all. This place used to be amazing but service and quality have plummeted.

Once again another return visit. This time Maryland crab cakes, Shrimp & Grits and salmon sandwich. Every meal we had has been excellent. My favorite was shrimp & grits. Great service also. Reservations are needed.

Absolutely the best service we've had in a while. Our waters were refilled the minute they were low, and we had everything we needed the moment we needed it. Food was absolutely perfect. Pictured is the Chicken Penne, and the seasoning was just enough to enjoy it and not enough to be overwhelming. Nice and light but filling. The only downside is how warm the restaurant is. It was already hot outside already so going from 97-100 degrees outside to basically the same temperature with no breeze was rough. Though as the sun went down it did get cooler and was manageable.

Nice Enough Joe’s was pretty good. The interior is kind of stark and not very inviting. The server was nice and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The wine list is a bit dull and no house cocktails are offered. The spinach salad was quite tasty but seemed rather small. Some spinach, a half slice of orange and a good dressing adds up to pretty cheap food costs for an $11 salad. The linguine with shrimp and scallops was quite good with perfectly cooked scallops. The grilled salmon BLT was also very good. The portions of the two entrees were very good. Overall, a bit of decoration, a more substantial salad and some good house cocktails would turn this into a 5-star restaurant.

This is the go-to place on the island! The consensus was that it was okay food wise. The ambiance was terrific (except if the fans are going, way too loud). The fries were awful. Choose a different option. The burgers were okay, and the other dishes weren't memorable. The drinks are good but overpriced. The fried avocado was unique. Definitely order! With not many options, we'll be back.

We returned to the beach today (on vacation) and wanted to try Salt Life because it wasn't too busy. The hostess Leilani was in a bad mood and want a good first impression for the restaurant to have. Thankfully Nathaniel our server saved the day and most of this review. He was very knowledgeable of the menu, specials, and drinks. The service was great and so was the food. My husband had a beef burger and an Arnold Palmer. I enjoyed the Salmon BLT- it was delicious even though it had a ton of lettuce and only one tomato slice. I ordered a cocktail that was supposed to be frozen. I spent the first five minutes trying to clean up the melting mess and drink some of it before it ran out the glass. They should try to fix these so that the customer can enjoy it frozen, not slushy. It was a Tuesday around 4pm... As we were leaving it was getting very busy! We'd return, but will choose a different cocktail, request Nathaniel if possible, and avoid the bad hostess if she's there.

We love visiting casual places like this with our kids. We were seated immediately for lunch, and our server came by quickly to get our drink order. He was fantastic. Our son has food allergies and he made sure that everything would be safe for him. He also was very attentive and super friendly. We ordered the queso appetizer that comes with tortilla chips. Our kids eat a lot of chips, so our server brought more and didn’t charge us extra for them. I ordered the skinny margarita, which was nice and tart. My husband ordered the elevated margarita. He really enjoyed it, so he ordered a second one. It was much sweeter than my skinny margarita. The kids ordered chicken tenders and fries. They ate the fries, but they didn’t enjoy the chicken tenders. We tried them, and we didn’t like them either. They were over cooked and didn’t have enough seasoning on them. I ordered the Hawaiian bowl, and my husband ordered the chicken teriyaki skewers with rice. Both of our dishes were very heavily sauced. We would definitely return for the drinks and maybe try different food items. Before dining here, I signed up on their website to receive emails from the restaurant, so we had a $10 coupon. If you’re going to visit, take a few minutes to do that and order an extra appetizer or drink.

If you want fish come here. All of the fish is fresh caught and made into excellent, delicious meals. My favorite thing was the Mahi poke bowl. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Atmosphere and location was perfect. The look of the building was beautiful. The drink I had was horrible and the food was bad. I got nachos. The chips were stale and they were piled on, but there was not enough meat, cheese, or anything. It was just a pound of stale chips.

We visited Tortuga Jacks for sunrise breakfast on Sunday morning and everything was delicious. The service was quick and the waitresses were all friendly and took time to greet us when walking by. Highly recommend. It has a cool atmosphere inside. We ate outside but I thought the bar looked so cool when we walked by.

We love this place, both upstairs and downstairs. The breakfast has been excellent, fast and with beautiful views. The most important thing I have to highlight is its staff. Always, and we have come several times, they are kind, friendly, fast and very professional. They make you feel comfortable here and not just a customer they have to serve. Definitely a 10 for the service.
