Update 8/26/23 The service was better with this visit. However, some of the food from this visit was terrible. The "hot" cheeseball appetizers had zero spice to them and had a weird taste. Onion grass is not listed on the menu as an appetizer, but they were able to make them. The alligator was unavailable due to being out of season and "mating season". The trail rider hoagi sandwich, buffalo cheeseburger (smaller than expected), and chicken chunks were pretty good. The walleye was inedible. The cocktail sauce was gelatinous and could be cut with a fork while keeping it's shape from a cup. The prime rib wasn't very good and had an odd taste. I'm not sure anyone in our party will be returning soon for a meal. ORIGINAL POST We sat in a booth on the bar side of the restaurant. The atmosphere was rugged. There were plenty of taxidermy pieces to look at. The service was subpar. The food was okay. There were a few exotic meats offered. The menu needs to be updated as to exclude items no longer available. The prices are very reasonable.

We drove 2 hrs just to visit for the game menu. Everything was great. Service was excellent. Decorations were all authentic Indian. Pretty neat historical place. Bathroom was old and kinda of dingy.

We are from out of town. Staff made us feel at home. Food was fantastic. Alligator and Boar Sausage, Walleye and Smelt were great. The atmosphere made us feel like we were back in Wisconsin. Thank you for a Great dining experience.

Only wild game restaurant I know of. Very friendly staff, good menu, and full bar. Not a ton of draft options, but still decent selection. Place has good homey vibe and neighborhood bar feel.

Definitely not a place for employment. Very unprofessional, lacks communication, VERY unsanitary, and very underpaid. Paychecks are always short or messed up as well as you will never receive your last paycheck when you quit, owner of the the company will ignore you too, he’s not very professional as well. You will not make any money serving either as the place doesn’t get very much business for its bad reputation.

Very efficient Chick-fil-a in Covington. Food is always good. Areas to improve - seeing the order before paying. I had some items missing from my order. Protect the employees from the sun. Seems that the employees are constantly under the weather to take your order. It would be nice is they had a hat to protect them from the intensive sun and have a backpack with water so that they can cool off.

Ordered delivery for the hash brown bowl and the sun joy peach half and half, it was good 👍🏽 my drink was really small to be 3.20 and my bowl had a lot of space in it … that bowl wasn’t enough … but it was straight I made it work :)

We use this location as a meet up spot for our family who lives on two opposite sides of it to visit. The location is always very efficient and the staff is always great. We recently visited for 2 birthdays, a 1 yr old and 83 yr old. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and the two birthday celebrates were celebrated. This location always nails it but Marissa, Mona and Ay’Den really were excellent this time. We appreciate these efforts and will continue to visit this location. Thank you!

This has to be by far the worse experience that I’ve had at any Chic fila. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager Chelsea, not only was not apologetic but she was very defensive. I would not suggest anyone eat here unless you want to find hair in your food! Beyond disgusting!

I placed a mobile order upon arriving at 10:02 am I was asked did I scan the QR code I replied yes...I was told they had run out of English Muffins and would settle for a biscuit I agreed. Only to have to wait another 5 mins for the food to come out and the order was wrong....no straw was placed in the bag...nor any of the condiments requested with the Mobile order I should have waited in line bc the mobile order does not work for me

My new favorite place! Cody was our server and he is amazing! Always had our drinks filled, brought us anything we wanted fast with a laid back personality. The atmosphere should have 10 star rating! It’s a huge beautiful restaurant! I had the boudin balls with sauce that’s an awesome horseradish flavor. The spinach and artichoke dip is phenomenal! Perfectly cooked bow tie pasta deep fried for dipping. And this place has the BEST burger I’ve ever had! It’s the Steak Burger. It is so tender and delicious! It’s the only burger they can put a temp on to cook to order and mine was perfectly medium. Our best friend ordered two of the upside down pineapple drinks. The fries are nice and crispy and good dipped in the horseradish sauce. I added pictures of outside and the food, but my pics won’t do this place justice!

Went to The Chimes in Covington for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday. I really liked the atmosphere of this place. Very layed back. Family friendly with added bonuses on the property. We had a party of 4 and was seated immediately. Our server was really great. He put in our drink and appetizer order. Our every need was meet during dinner. Things came out in courses which I really like. The food was fantastic and so were the mixed drinks. After dinner however was the fun part. In the back of the restaurant they have 2 cute friendly goats and a walk way that leads you to the river. The have places to sit down to enjoy the view and you can also rent kayaks and paddle boards. On the way back they also had a place where you can play corn husk toss or horseshoes. They even have string lights to light the area up at night. This restaurant was so cool and was like a day resort. I will be back to The Chimes because this place is the total package!

The Chimes never disappoints! I ordered the Alfredo Pasta with Blackened Chicken. I went in pretty late to pick it up and found it still piping hot when I got back to my hotel room. Y’all. When I tell you that I licked my fingers CLEAN when I finished?!? Definitely a go to spot if you’ve never been. The brand as a whole does a phenomenal job, no matter the location. They’re awesome in Covington and in Baton Rouge. 5 stars! Nicely done!

The food at the Chimes was very good. In our party we ate the boudin balls, bbq shrimp, boat load seafood platter and a burger. Everyone enjoyed their food. The menu has a good selection of seafood and non-seafood options. Being a Cajun living in Texas the last twenty years it was good to eat some really good seafood that is seasoned to perfection. Definitely would recommend the Chimes and hope to stop the next time we are visiting family nearby.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I ate here for lunch. If you like tequila, I highly recommend the Fool's Gold cocktail. It is very refreshing! The cucumber salad with chicken is delicious! The grilled chicken sandwich with french fries is also very tasty! I highly recommend stopping in for a bite if you're in the area!!

Coppins does NOT disappoint! I had the breakfast sandwich and it is truly the most perfect breakfast! Their fresh fruit is such a tasty and vibrant selection of fruit. Top it off with fresh squeezed juice! Our servers here have been so fabulous, but we were lucky to have Steve today. He is an outstanding person and he brings a tasteful warmth to conversation and knowledge about the menu, the hotel and the area. You can’t get a better waiter than him! Thank you for a perfect meal and impeccable service.

Terrible, horrible, and awful experience (food, service, atmosphere) Not only did we waste money on the food and expensive cocktails that tasted like sugar can juice (their classic margarita on the rock) and peach juice (for their bourbon peach), and a disturbing server, but time and health issues are another concern. First of all, tacos tasted either terribly salty or had no flavors at all. For the Thumper, they gave us a few tiny burned pieces of kangaroo meat and filled with 2 disgusting mac&cheese balls that had no flavor at all. And for The Bomb, I guess the chef might have spilled his drink on the taco since every bit was overwhelming with the bourbon taste. Those who know how to cook shall understand that the alcohol is supposed to be burned out in food. What if the kids happen to order The Bomb? Get drunk??? Besides that, the server was such a disappointment. She was so busy on her phone, and it was disturbing and disrespectful since she did it in front of us. The temperature in the restaurant was another miserable problem. While the temp was 91 outside, I believe the inside was probably 85 degrees. My husband got his sweat falling on his face while eating tacos. It was like we were eating on the street instead of the fancy restaurant. The two of us spent around $100 (including tips) for the meal, and the experience was lesser and way below expectations. What a waste of time and money with such a miserable experience. Look like the place is falling apart and maybe you need Gordon Ramsay to save ya.

Two of us had the pleasure of having lunch here on Sat, Sep 2. Service was extremely friendly and helpful (great menu suggestions). Drinks and food were great too! 5 stars for: Strawberry Bombshell (libations) Elote (munchies) The Love Shack (epic taco) 4 stars for: Jalapeño Pineapple Rita (libations) The Rooster (epic taco) 3 stars for: The Crown Jewel (epic taco) - one of us liked this, the other thought this was bland. House-Made Sea Salt Tater Tots - one of us liked this the other thought there was too much black pepper in the tot. If we are ever back in town or driving through, we will definitely stop in!

We sat down next door to Agave and that restaurant is associated with them as well. When we were at our table we saw a mouse under the table across from us. My friend let the manager know about it, but not action was taken. We decided to order our food to go, however, the manager didn’t even offer an apology or a discount to our bill. Once our food was ready they forgot our drinks and we had to wait for them to make them as well.Overall the experience was not a good one. I believe the manager (Anthony) could have done more since this is a violation of health. The restaurant was still open and serving food his response was that it was cold and it is completely normal for this to happen.

Went here for a book club meeting. Good service. Good atmosphere. Menu was a bit too bougie for my taste. Some would describe the menu as "hippie Mexican". I did find one thing I could actually order without someone questioning my masculinity. It was the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was surprisingly tasty. Wouldn't voluntarily go here again, it's not for me.

This is one of the highest rankings that I'll give to any restaurant I've been to. We have been here many times before today and everything is always excellent, food service, etc. Usually has a wait during three time we go but we'll worth it. Today my wife had Eggs Benedict which were perfectly prepared with lots of yolk for the muffin. And her grits were real grits with the right consistency and cheesy like usual per her request. Today I felt like something other than breakfast and had the Veal Penne. It was one of my favorite Italian meals ever. Not thinking of the Italian name of this place, so I wasn't expecting what I got. This was the tastiest, crispiest veal I've ever had with a perfect Italian seasoning blend. The marinara sauce was perfect and not runny like some. Even the bread stick was perfectly toasted and crispy with seasonings. They have a small Italian selection but I'm going to try them all. Rereading the above, I did not overuse the word perfect. If you are in the area, this place is a must in my opinion, the perfect brunch spot.

This is a must try breakfast/brunch spot! They have people coming to eat until the last minute! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for the appetizer. It’s likely the best dip I’ve had but definitely the best homemade chips I’ve had! The chips taste like wontons! I ordered the American Cheese Burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was cooked to order, I ordered medium and the cook nailed it! My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and she loved it, says it’s 10/10. Our best friend ordered the special, it was BBQ shrimp and grits. She says the shrimp were seasoned perfectly, and the grits were a little greasy. Overall great experience, food, and service! Great breakfast restaurant. Very diverse menu from traditional to omelets. The pancake are huge. The crab omelet was smaller than I expected. My wife and I split one…mistake. Parking was sparse…riding around block several times, but definitely not a reason to not visit.

This is a fantastic restaurant with excellent food and extremely friendly service that is quick, warm, inviting and welcoming. Perfectly cooked eggs benedict. A very cozy and roomy vibe. Located in Covington, LA. this restaurant is sure to please your appetite. Can't wait til my next visit so I can try out some of the other menu items. Bloody Mary was fantastic. Not strong, not weak, but just right to be paired up with classic eggs benedict. I posted a photo of the bill and some photos of the menu. The menu is no nonsense which I absolutely love. Ever sat down in a restaurant and been handed a menu with 10 pages? I have! And it is overwhelming. Not at Mattina Bella. It's front and back! Love it. Thoroughly enjoyed my early dinner. Had the Shepherds Pie, which was decent enough. Service was really good along qith drink made well and atmosphere was really good. Bar seating, table, or outdoors. (Also got a pretzel to go which was really good. Not a fan of mustard on my pretzel, but their cheese mustard sauces was really good.)

The Irish breakfast is always amazing! I am ashamed to admit that I haven't tried other menu items there, it's just the breakfast is too delicious! My husband couldn't resist digging in before taking the photo. If you love protein, this traditional Irish fare is perfect!
