Our host made us feel like royalty and really helped to make our holiday special. We had a lovely evening. One of us wanted extra spicy, the host and chef were concerned that they got it right and took care to listen and make helpful suggestions. They insisted we send it back if it was not spicy enough or too spicy. No need, it was perfect. Food was fresh, tender and delicious.

I have travelled the world and eaten in thousands of places, and it's rare, for the money and location that you find a place where the food is simply outstanding. This little unassuming Indian eatery is simply one of the finest restaurants I have come across. The food , for me, was like eating in India with the depth of flavour I seek , but rarely find. The staff very helpful in advising and indeed once advised, they also deliver on that! I would highly recommend this establishment.

I had been recommended Zaika by a friend about a year ago, but I remained faithful to the take away that I had used for over 25 years. I got fed up of getting rock hard (yesterdays) bahjis & soft poppadoms. So for the first time tonight we gave them a try. Wow! The best meal we have ever had, absolutely perfect. Good place to have Indian Cuisine. Non vegetarian dishes we had was really good. Vegetarian dishes was ok. But don't remember what we ordered. Lamb Biryani was good. They made medium spicy and less hot for kid. It was really good. The chicken tikka was good as well.

I recently dined here. The restaurant had a bit of a cramped atmosphere, which might not be ideal for those looking for spacious dining. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food, which was quite delicious. Despite the limited space, the culinary offerings were memorable, and I particularly enjoyed the whitebait and calamari. If you can overlook the coziness of the venue, Sicily's cuisine is certainly worth a visit.

Authentic restaurant in the strangest place! Popped in the side of a pub, just off a main rd, you’d be forgiven for thinking this place wasn’t going to be much good…. But as they always say, don’t judge a book by its cover, this could not be more true!! The food was delicious! The service amazing and the experience overall was great! The wine flowed, the staff were friendly and attentive and it was really great value for money! Will definitely be returning 🤩

Celebrated husbands 60th. Had a great experience with family. Patient waitors , we took a while to make our minds up on what drinks we were having, cos we were chatting, and not seen some of the family in a while. Food was fabulous. Took pics of our group for us, good humour from staff. Great night.

Fantastic meal! Was debating between the 12oz and the 24oz, but glad I went with the 12 in the end. I even ate the salad it was that nice (the lemon and black pepper dressing was the best I have ever tasted). 10/10

We went to celebrate a birthday and it was so nice. There was 9 of us and all the meals came out together and hot. We also took a birthday cake and they kindly sorted it all out for us, it was perfect. Will definitely be going back.

Such a great visit. Called in on spec. Team worked hard to get us a table then get served really quickly when we mentioned we were off to the pantomime. Such a friendly attentive team. Great food. Had the beef and chicken burger combo (forget the name), superb. Grolsch in tap to top it off. Kids had the kids set meal after being advised were quite big (refreshing honesty). Really fresh food and.plenty of it as advised. Really enjoyed the whole visit and thorughly recommend. Thank you.

Impressive real ale selection located in the centre of chesterfield. Booked for food on a Saturday night, all our meals were good particularly enjoyed the haggis starter rare to see it outside of Scotland. Our pie and burger mains were also good. Visited in October and it was cold inside so would fancy it during winter, whether they didn’t have the heating on or what we weren’t sat near to the door. Overall a good traditional pub that does quality great value food.

Business trip, 2 people. We looked at 3 pubs in the area and I chose this one as it appeared they served home made food. And it did not disappoint.. For the money, one the best gastro pubs I've been to in the whole of England. If this establishment was open in my town, "down south" , there would be queues daily. Excellent food, amazingly friendly service to us "OOT" and exceptional value for money.

Visited for lunch during the week. Nice cosy traditional pub. Service was friendly and efficient. Great selection of cask ales. Menu choices were appetising and interesting. I had the pie and it's one of the best I've had for a long time, full of delicious filling with home cut and cooked chips along with perfectly cooked vegetables. I would definitely return and recommend.

So told to wait 15mins until we could enter, given menus told to sit down, if I go to a restaurant I want a human to take my order. Not order on my phone (covid is over) we weren't aware or told we need to oder on the app (who reads a menu like a book?) What of i didnt have a smart phone??20mins later we realised after being ignored, £38 for 3 snacks not really meals, food was OK, no sweet chilli on my pitta and hallumi was 2 of the thinnest slices I've seen must be on rations, boneless chicken was a bit black so we're the mushrooms, best thing was the chips, 3 pots of bbq dip had something all over the lids and would only swap one when brought to attention, unhygienic tbh, staff don't seem happy to be at work

This was a quality restaurant to eat in at, where me and my friend were dealt with by really friendly staff at the counter! A menu was available to view there and the area was well-presented in general, backed by grand lights and complimentary plants as I sat in a comfortable seat at the table. I enjoyed a delicious spicy Chicken Leg accompanied by two yummy portions of Peri Peri Fries, all of which was served in due time for eat-in!

Food was good my only issue was the skin on the chicken was just a soggy mess! The new platter was amazing though but I preferred Meadowhall Nandos much more for quality. It's a lovely big restaurant with great decor very clean :) again my only issue was the music being so loud we couldn't hear the server and you have to shout just to be heard if it was down a little that would be great just for conversation purposes.

I’ve been to a lot of Nandos across the country but this Nandos is by far the best. Arrived at 12 noon on Saturday 4th November. The food came out so fast and the guy serving us went above and beyond. He asked if we would like any sauces fetching etc or a glass of water. I have never been to a Nando's and been offered these small gestures. He was very friendly and helpful, sorry I didn’t get his name !

The staff here have always greeted us with a warm smile. The range of food here is great. Tasty breakfast to filling lunches and sweet treats available. Recommend booking if you deffo want to go here as it gets full quickly as they have a large base of regular customers. Gluten free and vegetarian options available.

Had breakfast on Christmas Eve. Made a booking via Facebook...venue was more than happy to respond All staff were very attentive, always asking if we were ok and if more water for tea was needed etc. The offer of festive treats after our meal was always very much appreciated...even if too full to even consider!! Opted for the £9.99 standard breakfast with refill of tea or coffee - fantastic value. Very well presented, warm and very tasty - the offer to swap any of the items was also very much appreciated. Good quality sausage used and hash browns were great - would have liked scrambled eggs but I'm sure I would have been able to have this if I would have asked. Good atmosphere all customers seemed to be enjoying themselves and the hospitality offered. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much Filippellis
