We had the most fantastic cheese fondue, and we also had the sweet potato soup and several salads that were also great! The atmosphere was homey and the service was hospitable and warm. We will definitely come back again

Being greeted by name on the very first visit... a surprisingly nice first impression (need to come up with some more original name next time, M. Berset or something :-P). 2nd impression, the interior... it's... interesting... a bit over the top... but cosy and charming, I like it. Just like we likes the food. Sorry for the Fribourgeois but I had the best fondue in Saas-Fee. I can very much recommend the "fluffy truffle fondue" (look for Fondue with Champagne and Truffle on the menu). This in combination with a bottle of Petite Arvine (Gregor Kuonen) should be enough to make you willing to return. At least, that's what we will do next time we're in Saas-Fee. Update 16.07.23: And so we returned. Not to eat fondue this time but rather the Black Angus steak. And again both food and service were impeccable. Just... don't put paprika powder on the fries please. They're fries, not chips.

Typical Wallis restaurant with fantastic food. Haven't had such good game before. The owners hunt themselves which makes it even more special. Reservation a must otherwise you'll probably have no chance to dine there.

Dined in their restaurant for two nights. Excellent service, ambience, decor, hospitality and food. We had Veal and beef fondue on first and wild game stroganoff on the second night both superb! The owner visited each table to greet and check personally. Classic Swiss hospitality experienced.

recently had the pleasure of dining at Walhüs Boomen in Saas Fee, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The cozy atmosphere and warm ambiance were perfect for a night out with my family, and I was pleased to see that the restaurant was kids-friendly. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was pleasant from start to finish. The menu offered an excellent variety of dishes, and the food was simply delicious. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, and the flavors were incredibly satisfying. Overall, I would highly recommend Walhüs Boomen to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Saas Fee. The combination of great food, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly staff provided my family and me with an unforgettable evening.

This is the last great Swiss country inn. Worth traveling to Saas-Fee just to eat here. Fantastic cuisine and service and all in the most astounding Swiss setting imaginable. Typical Swiss food with continental touches prepared with great care. Can’t wait to return

Excellent service and offers great food option for family - pizza for kids and authentic Chinese food for the adults. We had 老北京炸酱面，腐皮肉卷 and 川香口水鸡。I feel the restaurant is proud of the chefs working hard in the kitchen, you can see photos of them displayed on the wall. Great restaurant for a satisfying meal, especially after a tiring day on the ski slope!

The food and service here could not have been better. Both the pizza and the Thai chefs are authentic and talented. I have not had Thai food that good in a long time, and my husband loved the pizza. Our server made us feel so welcomed and took great care of us. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone! My favorite place we ate at!

Was a disaster - we were first guests at 7.00 nd ordered. We got the drinks and starter very quickly. However after one hour, yes one hour! We did not have the main course. The service lady was very nice and asked the kitchen several times, nothing happened. We paid…did not even get a free drink… Thus, avoid this place….stay away!,,,

The food quality was really poor, even more considering the prices. They had only Heineken on tap and the mulled wine was probably coming from a brick. To sum up, super convenient location and nice place, but only to have a drink (although not a beer or a mulled wine 😅)

Very kind staff around, prices are a bit high but I think it is normal in this town. Had the Rusti with cheese and tomatoes and it was nice, but would not make that choice again. Apfelstrudel was very very nice. Give them a try, it is still worth it at the end.

Perfect spot along the river to soak up Saas Fee. The owner was incredibly nice and chatty. The inside of the building is traditional and classic in a perfect spot for an afternoon drink. We shared a few appetizers and they were just delicious.

We ordered several types of fondue to try. They were pretty good overall. For some of the types, the wine in the fondue overpowers the other flavors in the fondue too much.

We had a wonderful delicious meal here. The food wash fresh and tasty. The kids meals were spot on. Service was friendly. Definitely need to book as it was packed yet the food came quickly. Highly recommend the chinoise fondue.

Both took the two course house menu and greatly enjoyed it. The trockenfleisch tartare was great and the fondue has a great consistency, I was missing a little bit of punch though that comes with kirsch.

We arrived in Saas-Fee as it was starting to rain after a long hike from Gspon. We were hungry we rocked up and had the best Blt ever. We enjoyed the place so much we went back for dinner 😂 where we had the best onion soup and a lovely tomato fondue. Service is friendly and the place is sweet.

Fantastic service and GREAT cheese fondue and raclette! Provided us with good recommendations on cheese selections for the fondue pot. We had the 3 flavors pot (Tomato, mushrooms and truffle), meat platter and raclette as well as a kids fondue pot which is prepared without any alcohol. The kids LOVE it!!

We had a wonderful experience in Essstube. Not all restaurants were open in Saas Fee , we tried few, and this one was by far the best. Great service and delicious food. Thank you, chef, for advising us to take beef filet. That was the best beef we’ve ever had! Good luck!

We really loved this restaurant (when going again, I might not opt for the sesame salmon though, as I didn't like the texture and expected it to be more of a crust - personal preference), however, what my partner had was delicious and the wine was lovely. We will be back! Edit: we did come back and I took something different to the salmon and it was lovely! We loved the texture of the wasabi ice cream :D

Went with my boyfriend who is gluten free. They were extremely accommodating, serving their own gluten free, delicious, home made bread. Every dish we ordered was beyond delicious. Pricing is very fair for Switzerland pricing, quality of food, presentation of food and service.

Eclectic definitely describes this restaurant. Food is delicious. They put a huge effort into flavor combinations and unusual plating. Even able to accommodate Laktose free without hassle. The salad with salmon yum, beetroot lasagna delicious, surf and turf Devine, though pasta a bit bland and lacking substance. Sadly it took 3hours to be served a three course meal which is not acceptable when you have young kids and first people in the restaurant. Also children’s meals were way over seasoned, I don’t know many children who like heavily salt and peppered Schnitzel or vegetables covered in herbs (and my kids like vegetables). They enjoyed the homemade icecream Sunday’s, the highlight for them.
