A 3 course restaurant, you are received with this small pieces of bread and humus sauce. Then, if you don’t order appetizers, they bring you this soup that is great! If you like lemon, you will loge its taste! Afterwards, they bring this salad with 2 sauces: one has a cheese in the base and the other one has balsamic vinegar (I recommend to mix them! Take with the green pepper that comes). For ou dinner, we chose Faming Rack of Lamb and Lamb Tenderloin Saffron. Both of them come with broccoli, carrots and something different and delicious (sorry, I don’t know the name). For those who are not so hungry, the Lamb Saffron is quite enough, however if tou are hungry or like Lam a lot i would definitely pay 6 dol more for Flaming Rack! They recommend medium point and for me, who is used to eat well done, some parts were a bit weird to eat.. but ok, I could handle! Coming to deserts, I loved both! The Baklava was AMAZING! And I live the vanilla ice cream as well.. I didn’t like the ice cream that came with Galaktoboureko cause I don’t like mint is sweeties at all, so this is more a personal issue.. If you like chocolate with mint, for example, you will like it!! Summary: I recommend!

We came in on a Sunday night with a group of 8 people. The food was presented beautifully. Scottish Salmon and Mediterranean Grouper were excellent. Server Emily did a fantastic job with our group and was very professional!! Highly recommend for a date night, anniversary and/or just a night out on the town.

Went here for dinner before a show at the PAC. As other reviews indicate, plan on 2 hours for dinner. You could do it quicker, but why would you want to? Relax and enjoy each course. We had the flaming cheese (Opa!), stuffed grouper and filet au chocolat. All were excellent. Paired with the featured red wine. Had the Galacktoboureko and Dark and White Chocolate cake for dessert. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service.

Amazing from beginning to end! The Scottish Salmon, Galaktoboureko, and the 2016 Papaioannou Syrah were perfect! I was lucky to find this gem in the first week in Appleton!

Just perfection! We celebrated my husband’s birthday at this wonderful restaurant. The food was prepared perfectly and beautifully presented. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Everything was top class. We wished we lived closer but regardless we will visit frequently.

Stopped in for a beverage and some dinner. Nice folks with good service; chill atmosphere and a patio with a decent number of tables and music. Love that they carry local brews too. The beverages were great and fillet was delicious. Perfectly cooked asparagus. The truffle fries were excellent and the cheese curds were spot on. The scallops on the other hand, were gritty, charred, and way over salted. In addition, the spices way over shadowed any nuances that one might appreciate from the seafood. It simply wasn't very good. She got them, took two bites and said no way, passing them to me. Honestly, I tried to get through them and am pretty dedicated to finishing everything, but I couldn't do it, it simply wasn't appetizing. To close, our server was great; he was on point but not overbearing and he was very friendly. Thanks for the experience; we'll be back--we'll just skip the scallop next time. Follow up after owner response: we were enjoying the evening and didn't want to deal with the hassle of talking to a manager, etc, etc, so chose not to request a refund. Besides, we did push through quite a bit of it, as indexed by the photo. If you'd like to make it right, we'd be happy to come by for a replacement entree.

Went Friday for fish fry. Ordered the deep fried Haddock dinner. Good portion but fish was dry and almost looked like frozen fish sticks deep fried. Came with very dry marble rye and decent creamy Coleslaw. Going to try again for something other than fish.

Pleasantly surprised by Spats! It looks a little old school inside, but the food was soooo good. And I loved the ample parking. Highly recommend. Pros: THE Meatballs, Truffle Fries, quick seating, easy parking Cons: the only thing I can even think of was that my drink was nothing special (Pear Fizzle) - still good though! Follow along on our journey to try a new Fox Valley restaurant every Friday!

The food was excellent, I ordered soup of the day, Bang Bang shrimp, and the meatballs. Service was friendly ( but fast ) Everything came too quickly to enjoy as individually as it definitely deserves. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars on service, but I will be making the 120-mile trip to visit again, so well worth it to share this gem with everyone I know

The location and atmosphere were fantastic! They were busy by 6 on Friday. Sitting on the patio with the water rushing was lovely. The server was very attentive and gave good suggestions. The cocktails were yummy! The warm bread appetizer was good. We had the elk burger and lobster roll. We enjoyed the food but wished it had a little more flair. A fun sauce would have made the burger much better. We didn't try dessert but will next time. It's a nice place to bring out of town friends and family to show off the pretty view.

Visited this place when I was visiting my friend in Appleton. Great atmosphere and service. We ordered a few beers, Wisconsin cheese curds, truffle fries, charred octopus, and a chocolate cake dessert. The fly ruffle fries could have been more crispier and the dessert needed to be more softer. Other than that, everything else was great. I would still recommend this place if you are in Appleton.

food is *meh*, service and atmosphere is top 5 in the area. been here many times and tried many different items, have never thought theres anything I couldn't have made better at home with equivalent ingredients 🤷♂️(except maybe the white chicken chili) add on the fact they have a pretty big markup on the food. regardless they still get four stars for the overall feel of the place, it feels elegant inside, view is great outside, and servers rarely make mistakes and are overall professional.

Amazing experience!! Great food and the best service we’ve had in Appleton! We celebrated our anniversary and they provided Champaign and a piece of cake (delicious, btw)! We ordered Bruschetta (7/10), Truffle Shrimp Carbonara (10/10), House Salad (9/10), Moscow Mule (8/10) and Cioccolato Fiorentino (10000/10 ❤️)

Heard about this place from multiple people. Figured we would try it. I got the root beer short ribs with a root beer to drink. The root beer is absolutely phenomenal. Mashed potatoes and the glaze were also very good. The short ribs were a good cut of meat but no flavor. Was expecting a lot since their root beer was absolutely phenomenal. Wife got local mushroom ravioli. With a coke. She absolutely loved it. Great flavor great textures. If she had to complain about something it was slightly El dente for her pallete. Raving about it 2 days after we visited. Wait staff was a bit on the slow side. Food took quite a while to come out with the amount of people in the restaurant. Definitely will go back tho.

I went to Rye restaurant located at 308 W College Ave in Appleton, Wisconsin. My family and I had a great time in Wisconsin this past week. One of the most famous dishes in Wisconsin is cheese curds! So starting off strong we got the Scrays cheddar cheese curds. These came with tarragon ranch dip and were a hit 9/10. We also got the New England crab cakes because we had to see what these were like being from New England and all. We were skeptical at first but these actually weren’t bad. These 3 crab cakes had a warm sweet corn and pepper relish dressing and a truffle creme sauce 8/10. For entrees we got the Irish beef and stout stew 6/10. This was a traditional Irish stew with mashed potatoes and a puff pastry. I think the cinnamon in the dish was a bit overpowering but overall still tasted good. We got the roasted sweet corn and cheddar risotto This had red peppers, poblano peppers, chipotle basil marinade and onions. This was very rich and satisfied all risotto cravings 8/10. We got the pork schnitzel which had truffle aioli, citrus arugula, tomatoes and a fried egg on top! The egg was a nice touch to this dish and complimented the pork well 7/10. Finally, our star dish of the evening was the mushroom ravioli. This had rich and creamy alfredo sauce and used locally sourced mushrooms. I think the only thing that was missing was a tad more truffle flavor 9/10. Make sure you have a reservation for this spot because it can get pretty busy-and for good reason too! Put this on your list next time you are in Wisconsin. Food: 8/10 Affordability: 7/10 Ambiance: 7/10

I definitely recommend this place! Beautiful place, clean (including the restroom), comfortable seats and luminosity! Coming to food, you have to taste this Whisky Bacon Shrimp, it’s incredible good! Coms with 5 shrimps and 2 breads (you have to dip the bread in the sauce 🫠). We chose Filet of Beef and we agreed this values the expensive price. The sauce where it’s mixed the potato’s and kale is very tasty! My husband asked for medium and I took a picture to show how beautiful was this point! I could not eat all, so for both of us the amount was enough. Very good service!

Truly my absolute favorite meal EVER! The pan seared scallops were prepared perfectly, sitting on delicious carrot and ginger purée, handmade gnocchi and pillows of miso sauce. Mind blown! Our service was excellent as well. Make sure you order the $10 dessert tip for the kitchen!!

I didn't really like it here. I got the mango boba tea and it tasted fishy. Like seriously, it tasted like fish every time I took a sip. I asked my sister if that is normal and she said no. I didn't say anything about it because I wasn't sure if it was seaweed or what. The food honestly wasn't the greatest either. I got one of the vegetarian dishes (pictured) and was not impressed. The spring rolls were good but the flavor for the dish just wasn't there. The friend that I went with has literally lived in Vietnam and said the food here was really not that good. The funny thing is, I have always heard good things about this place but I personally won't return.

Passing through town and stopped and it was amazing! Great prompt service. Loved the pho and pad kee mao. Would definitely eat here again. Wonderful flavors. We have a Thai place that we love where we live and this definitely competes with it!

Great local place for some great food. We were very excited to try it for the first time. I got the lunch special. Salmon Power Bowl with rice, avocado, arugula, an egg and sweet potatoes. It was one of the best tasting protein bowls I've ever had. Wish this would be a full time menu item! Wife had the Gnocchi pasta. It was also fantastic. Kirk is a great server and provides excellent service.

5 stars all around! I've had the pleasure of dining at Authors for both breakfast and dinner and never have I been disappointed. The atmosphere is excellent, service is always good, and the food is to die for!! The empanadas are delicious, packed full of flavor! We tried the chicken and they were also offering an artichoke sweet potato. My favorite was the chicken but my partner preferred the artichoke! I thoroughly enjoyed the ham Benny and he enjoyed the omelette. Can't wait to go back. :)

This was our first trip of hopefully many to come. The service was outstanding and our server made sure to explain to us how everything worked. We did not leave hungry. Our server even brought out a special dessert for us at the end to celebrate our marriage. What a fun experience.

We went for the experience, our service, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic! But I do have to say it was extremely overpriced for the food we did get. Meat was fatty the one plus of the food was you got as many vegetables as you asked for but still… I would rather have a higher quality meat.

My husband & i love eating at The Melting Pot for date nights! The waitresses are always fast, food brought out in a timely manner & keep our drinks full! Only thing i would change is to have another appetizer option besides salad, like a soup!
