I was looking to authentic Italian cuisine in Lagos Nigeria. Beautiful ambience inside the blowfish hotel, had an aerated sitting arrangement and excellent service. I followed my waitress recommendations for food and drink, ordered some Alfredo (they make it spicy on request), and a red cherry mock tail. I highly recommend this restaurant as you look to avenues to escape Lagos.

If you are into creamy/sweet palates, then Italian cuisine might just be for you. I wanted to try a different cuisine and even though I asked for my dish to be spicy, I still could not deal with the taste of fresh cream and cheese (which is in almost all their dish on the menu)

Good place with decent food. Indoor seating is limited if you are looking for air conditioned ambience although outdoor seating is not bad except for really warm / humid days. Food variety & quality is good but it would would be helpful if the menu can be refreshed.

Went in for a quick bite and a drink with family. Was taken back with the atmosphere and the decoration, a really nice place. The menu isn't huge but has a big variety. Suitable for all dietaries. Tried the Manakeesh and really recommend them. In general the prices are reasonable and fair, the staff are all over the place so you won't have trouble catching one's attention. The place is very clean, from the cutlery, glasses, tables, chairs, bar area even the bathrooms.

It’s a fairly new Mediterranean style restaurant just by my office. My colleague and I were just passing and decided to stop and have brunch and boy we enjoyed everything, the food, ambience and the service. We even went to the outdoor part of the restaurant which I think is the most beautiful part and took photos before we left. It’s super affordable and good for a first date or a night out, trust me whoever you bring will be impressed.

This place is lovely. I think the bathroom is my favorite place. The food is yummy too and it’s a lot of food for the price. I enjoyed every bit of it. You can either be outside or inside. We chose inside because it was for our end of year dinner. Outside looks so good at night though. I love the place a must visit. When I asked for warm water they offered to boil for me which was really nice even though I had to buy a bottle of water. They also mixed my order and swiftly changed it without complains. The goat meat is juicy and flowing with flavors. The fish delicious, I think they need to serve the rice with a sauce not just like that because it was too bland.

Decided to visit NOK after seeing other people's reviews. I saw a few menus on their website before arriving, so I was surprised that I could only order from 1 menu at the restaurant. It would be great if they clarified that on their pages beforehand. I couldn't order anything I really wanted to try with the menu I was given. I placed my order and was given some sweet potato crisps while waiting for the order. I ordered the goat rolls, spicy cornbread, tamarind wings, abula, and ordered oxtail hotpot for takeout. The goat rolls tasted great, but the portion could have been more,lol... it was 2 rolls halved. The price was 8,500 The tamaring glazed wings were alright. It was 7,500 The spicy cornbread was the best part for me overall. It was 2,500. The abula was generously portioned, and I was able to request beef instead of assorted meat. The taste was good and it was filling. The abula was 9,500. I ordered the oxtail hotpot to go, and I didn't enjoy it very much. It was very spicy and not really what I was expecting. Total spend for 2 was 52,500. Overall, it was a good experience.

An amazing experience! We were looked after from the moment we arrived till we left. Great customer service from the young staff - paying attention to every detail, helping us move tables without any fuss when we asked to be seated elsewhere, stepping up to clean our table, without us asking, when we spilt a drink etc. The African themed decor, warm lighting infusion of flora & fauna creates a calming & homely effect. We decided to go al fresco with our delicious looking Amala. The outdoor sitting area provided the same cosy feeling with the cool & gentle evening breeze ensuring the delicious abula went down a treat. The assorted meat was tender & delicious & the Amala light and easy on the throat. It’s not an inexpensive experience with the 9,500 naira tag for their abula but it’s very well made abula and if you throw in the ambience, customer service & crowd it is a worthwhile experience. Definitely recommend. p.s. loved the bowl the food was served in

Had an amazing experience here during sunday Brunch! Loved the tilapia, the beef abula was a bit spicy for me but so flavorful & the dessert was amazing! Best ice cream ive ever had. The refreshers too, im still thinking about them!!

This place was a great experience. I went there in the afternoon and had some nice pounded yam and seafood okra. I enjoyed it. The portion is just about right. Its a little pricey, but that's what you expect from such a location. The ambience is great. The people are warm and courteous. The garden is great for pictures. I hear the Amala is flagship, but it wasn't available on Saturday, when I went. I recommend Kunu Aya.

I've been to NOK by Alara a few times over the years but never felt compelled to write a review because of how popular the restaurant is. This time however I had a serving of their famous Abula (Amala, Gbegiri, Stew and Assorted Meat) with a glass of Tropical Waters and my belly was settled. I was skeptical about whether the Amala lived up to the hype and I can confirm that it does. It's 9.5k for a plate, but unless you're totally famished, you will get your money's worth and your stomach will thank you. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and a definitely felt like one of the trendy people in Lagos when eating there. The staff were competent and helpful with a good sense of humor. Overall, I would definitely recommend NOK by Alara.

Great seafood that you pick yourself. Happens on Thursdays. Go early because the line gets very long. It’s probably the best seafood I’ve had in Lagos. FYI they have an off season from mid-June till October.

Food - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 5/5 Cost - 5/5 I love Lagoon, the outdoor restaurant is airy and has a lovely view. One recommendation is for the outdoor restaurant to install fly catchers of some sort as the insects/ bugs can be a real pest. I would recommend the Mutton Kabuli curry but all of the dishes I have tried on their menu and lovely (steak, salads etc).

The food was great - different bursts of flavour. The chicken yakitori goes splendidly with the hibachi rice. We asked for our rice to come spicy and Shiro delivered. Spicy edamame was coated in black pepper and garlic sauce, not chilli flakes and garlic. It tastes good too, just - heads up. The hoisin duck was so moist and flavorful. It was my best dish of my dinner. Sake is not for everyone but if it's your first time, try warm sake first. FYI Shiro only sells sake by the bottle I didn't like that my edamame came after the rice and chicken arrived. That felt a little off to me. Firearms are not allowed. I was glad that the hosts stopped someone from walking in with a large gun. Overall, a good time. With great music that got louder as the night went on.

A good place to have sushi. You have the option of using chopsticks of forks for your sushi; but it’s great to try chopsticks if it’s your first time. The food here is not so expensive. You have an outdoor or indoor seating option. For your asian & continental dishes, this is a good place. You can either book a reservation or walk in and get a table. It’s very picturesque. There is music in the background which you can vibe to. Dim lighting at night and a good place for family dinners, hangouts or a date night.

My friends and I went on a Wednesday, Shisha man apparently doesn’t work on that day so we couldn’t take any, the live cook as well wasn’t available that day too. Nonetheless, we had a good time. The service was good, the meals tasted nice however small quantity, it’s also quite expensive for the quantity of meal you get. Our bill was 50k+ Ambience was good, there’s a new construction for a beach club which will be strictly for members precisely. The flip side about sitting outside was the poop smell which came @ intervals with the breeze from the ocean.

The food was really good enjoyed my platter, welcome bread was tasty although you could tell it was microwaved so by the time I wanted to eat it was going hard. Had a strawberry daiquiri which was good too. Although what I found weird was the waiter made me transfer my cocktail and water bill to his personal account. I questioned it but he said he would use cash to pay it? I knew it was a scam but had no choice as I was alone and needed to leave. Would go back again but not alone to avoid being scammed.

Visited this place on Jul 1, 2023 around 1pm, the waiter kept offering the yellowtail fish and chip, but I insisted for Famous fish and chip. He brought in a fish and chips with yellow sauce.on the top. I didn't check the receipt and just found out at home that it was Yellowtail fish. The fish was ok, the sauce was not. I felt cheated! But to be fair the creamy seafood soup was good.
