I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and the pancake house apple pancake has always been a favourite for me! I usually get the baby apple as the giant apple is truly giant. Coffee is good more of a dark roast, and a by far the best strawberry jam around, you can even buy some to take home! Many of the staff have been here for a long time, always consistent, quick and welcoming. Right up there as one of the best breakfast spots in Winnipeg

We went for brunch and asked for a caesar - no luck. They only have canned seltzers. No mimosas either. Then we went to order and right away was told they had no more gluten free hash browns. We ordered French fries with our breakfast. When our food did come out it was cold. The eggs were over cooked when asked to me over medium. Overall not a pleasant experience. But the wait staff was nice!

The Pancake House is my favorite. I am never disappointed when dining here. I had the giant apple pancake, again. Any time I go, I always say I'm going to try something else, but I always end up sticking with the tried and true. What can I say except that I love cinnamon and apples!

Great location in the heart of quaint Old Transcona. My first time visiting but will not be the last!! Great place for the whole family.

I had a craving for breakfast out. So, with supporting local in mind I went to L'arche Tova today. I ordered coffee with cream to go with my Denver Sandwich and home potatoes. It came hot, the pieces of ham were juicy. The peppers and onions mixed with cheese on their in house made potato dill bread was amazing. I ordered a loaf of the potato dill and the last two small cinnamon buns to go. Their cinnamon buns taste just like my Mom used to make. As the guy off the "you gotta eat here says", I highly recommend it!

A “hidden gem” in downtown Transcona for anyone who’s not from the area. Fantastic breakfast food with very generous portions! I had the “Hungry Ukrainian Breakfast” and was surprised how much protein (sausage and bacon strips) it came with for $15!

I was a regular here for years -- they used to make the best pancakes I've ever had anywhere. This was my first time back since they reopened, and it was disappointing. The pancakes seemed to use a different recipe and were just average, and even the eggs and bacon weren't cooked as nicely. Plus the price of the pancake breakfast has gone from $9 to $14, at which point you might as well walk across the market and enjoy a full-service sit-down meal at Pancake House for just 99 cents more.

I applaud the one chef who cooks all the breakfasts - at least on the day I went it was many many orders and one chef only. The food is delicious with a good amount of variety. There is usually a line up and waiting involved when you order here during breakfast. Their hashbrowns are well worth the hype. a thin but strong layer of Crisp to potato ratio. They aren't tiny either. The main thing to take away from this place is the food isn't bland, the hashbrowns are amazing, it is not greasy and food is made piping hot each time. They don't skimp on ingredients. Pricing of items are average $8-12 but worth it.

My family visited for a Sunday Brunch and it was really busy here. The experience might have been better if we visited on a less busy day. A few of us ordered the Salmon Benedict and it was REALLY salty. A family member mentioned that they ordered the same dish before and it was not that salty so maybe it was just a bad day. Our server was really nice but she never checked in on us or refilled our waters. We had to constantly ask for our glasses to be filled. Add the fact that our food took a really long time and we had to wait almost an hour. The restaurant had a really nice vibe though and the location is really nice. The big windows overlooking the pond adds to the atmosphere. This was a disappointing experience overall because people online mentioned this to be a really good breakfast/Brunch spot.

The atmosphere was superb but food was so-so! Had smoked salmon benedicts but the salmon was too salty. The pancakes were good nonetheless and price was reasonable.

We dropped into the Park Cafe to escape a rather cold wind. Good service. Good food. The kids loved the fries but thought the grilled cheese was over cheesy. I really enjoyed the smoked salmon salad. The lighting is great with huge windows overlooking the duck pond.

Sat on the patio and it was very comfortable seating, was thankful for umbrellas that provided ample shade. The pork belly eggs Benny was amazing and quite possibly my favourite eggs Benny in the city. The potatoes were amazing and perfectly crispy.

I haven't had any food I don't like from here. Interesting selection of food and drink. The menu has good variety. Parking is close by if you're lucky but not right near the door. My only complaint is I wish the chairs were more comfortable. Great views and natural light here.

Lunch at Stellas was a fabulous experience! I met a friend for a catch up lunch and we each enjoyed fresh salads and their delicious carrot ginger soup. Ambience was wonderful! Next time we’ll try the patio, too wet today for that. The washrooms were a pretty cool feature too.

Very nice place tucked away in the norwood hotel. The ambience is nice there and is really great for hanging out. I do think that the food could be better. The brioche cinnamon french toast was good for those with a sweet tooth! The eggs benedict had a good hollandaise sauce but the poached eggs are overdone for my liking. Its cooked to an over medium. Im not sure if thats just the default or if you need to ask to get it cooked less. Otherwise, it's a decent place with really good drinks and cocktails. I think drinks are definitely the highlight of this place and were quite tasty!

We went here for Mother’s Day brunch. They are one of the few restaurants in the city that takes reservations for brunch so that’s a big plus for us. We were seated in one of the corner booths, and it was so cozy. The place has great ambiance and felt really homey. Staff was great (shoutout to Nicole) and the food wasn’t so bad either. I tried the St. B sandwich, as we were in St. B, but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The fries good be a little crispier. The French toast cinnamon bun was very good, topped with various berries. I recommend for those with a craving for something sweet. The place is inside the Norwood Hotel on Marion and you can either park on the street or in the hotel’s parking lot. And you can now pay online as well, they have a QR code on the table that directs you to a website where you can pay your tab.

They conveniently take reservations for brunch which was a deciding factor for us. I had the Spanish Hash which was hashbrowns with garlic, tomatoes, chorizo (which was almost non existent), shallots and chimichurri with 2 poached eggs. I thought it was a bit bland and could have used stronger seasoning. I asked for hot sauce which did help add some flavor. My wife had the Brioche Cinnamon Bun French Toast which seemed more like a grilled cinnamon bun (couldn't tell it was dipped in an egg or anything to make it french toast like). Not much fruit added on top. The medium roast fair trade coffee was a bit weak for my taste. My wife liked her chai tea.

The food was good and the restaurant was nice. Arrived for brunch and they told us that we had to wait to be seated so the kitchen could catch up on orders. Thought that was weird because there were plenty of open tables open. So we just asked to be seated immediately and wait for them to be ready for orders at the table. . Ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and it was decent but I found the poached eggs were overdone and as well as the smoked salmon that it was more like baked salmon. It was still tasty but will probably try something else next time. I was very happy with the cocktail I got "that's my jam" though and I recommend trying it. . It's also Fried Chicken Fest right now so we got the special item and it was good. The sauce was definitely the highlight of that dish. .
